I’m doing my own franchise with the Red Sox right now just because I’m a Red Sox fan and I just drafted an 18 y/o pitcher with 98 potential and traded a regressing Chris sale for the 2nd overall pick who was a 18 y/o generational talent who plays 2nd base and is a 79 overall already

I've noticed in this years game that even if you have bad overalls if you have decent guys at every position you tend to do okay. I had one where I got 78 wins with the As and only got Brian Anderson at third and moved Gavin Sheets to 1st and traded for Shane Baz. 🤷♂️ game is weird sometimes
It really depends, some prospects only need 1 season in the Minors to season them up, and some might take 3 or 4 years of progression through the farm system. Prospects can be really challenging to grasp how they will progress, it's a gamble and the game incentivises the unknown.

MLB draft picks rarely go straight to the majors. Usually they spend 3-4 years (depending on their age) in the minors before they are remotely ready for the MLB.
O ok and by any chance do I have to look at the overall when I scout the player? Because they have a side with potential and the other side says overall 61-80 or higher
I have to say the enhanced draft ruins these videos. I just listen, I don’t watch, and listening to ten minutes in each of these videos about fake players kinda ruins it. I know it’s a bigger part of franchise now but it does nothing for the content. Just my opinion. I know I’m watching your channel far less since ‘23 came out, idk if anyone else agrees, just sharing my experience. Love the channel though.

Skraxx Roster Alpha is one I’ve been using. Prospect potentials are a little lower than expected but it’s pretty solid otherwise
