REAL TALK: 1) For Ice DPSing, I didn't add the obvious things to keep the video shorter. But here they are. - Allies: Superman/Flash/Zoom (Aoe Active) - HoL Bot/Krypto (ST Active) - Batman Who Laugh (Passive) - Third Passive Ally is optional, I sometimes use Zoom, sometimes Oracle or Cyborg. - Base mods: Might / Power / Dominance - Augments: Might 2) As always, positioning is the KEY. If you are too far or your angle is off, you might not be hitting all the adds resulting in loss of damage. So position yourself correctly. 3) Buff yourself. Nitro/Compound/Cookies/Bites etc. 4) Artifact swapping: I am not a big fan but you can always replace Strat with EOG or when doing ST, replace Solar Amp with EOG before popping Supercharge, then switch back once you are inside Ice Elemental. Scrap helps with Melee but you can use quislet etc. Hope this helps =) - iEddy
Try using frost blast instead of avalanche and swap its spot in the rotation with amplified heat vision your gonna get about a 50-100k difference in dps, and 2nd passive superman ally is a must since it now doesn't allow interrupt on frost blast
@Stuart Heagy frost blast does hit hard sure, but the amount of time it takes to use it you are losing damage when adds are closer to death. I was using it for a while but found a better rotation
I just came back to DCUO a few days ago after a 2 year break and wondered why power guides hadn't been updated for over a year+ 🤔 then I see Obsidianchill and you come out with an updated Ice guide (my power). The timing couldn't be better 💙
I have tried so many powers and it is a very noticeable difference between each power’s burst and aoe dmg. In my opinion so far, munitions feels like it has the highest dps potential.
last time I was ice was way when back when it was pc only.. not going to lie i miss Fortress of Solitude 8v8 pvp mostly everyone was ice or fire from what i remember anyway.. and i am using it now.. my allies are zoom (combat), that big robot for 15% power regen, and batman who laughs, i did godeyes pyramid (normal) and did 79mill total damage, 42million boss damage, i only got 238 sp (still working on getting it higher) but still i was highly shocked i did that much damage.. so thank you for the loadout :)
Yeah if you see my last video on Ice dps which I did a year ago. Its all about frost blast. With new superman ally, sure it wont be interruptable but it won't be ant faster. It is still as slow as before 😂 and right now its all about quick damage. By the time you will finish casting your frost blast, other 3 Dpss would have killed the adds with their precision combos or rage/earth melee etc.
Unless you pop that first I personlly use Frost blast with Avalanche.. I see no point in having snowball unless you use it with the SC Transformation.. but everyone has their own style

Hey! So if you follow the storyline, you will see that both heroes and villains are working together against brainiac. So every instance is basically same for heroes and villains. Just some cosmetics and locations are different. Hero side is more populated so better to play with heroes. Weapon style doesn't matter. It is only for yourself like how you want your character to look. There are two types of dps, might and precision. If you are a might dps, you will do damage with your powers, if you are precision dps, you will do damage with ur weapons. 😊

I wouldn't agree that it's "better" to play on the hero side. I have multiple characters on both sides and from my experience the heroes side lacks a sense of community. They are very toxic and disrespectful to themselves and to others. There are less villains but most of the ones I did encounter actually help each other and new players out

I think you are mistaken, my videos are for beginners who are new to powers, not for endgame elite players, they don't need guides anyways. So no beginner will be running SM. Wintry tempest works great in raids because you have a tank and even in alerts, bosses don't jump around much. As far as the whirling dervish is concerned, my loadouts are not straight from dummies, they are all tested for weeks in different raids and situations, only then are uploaded. Whirling dervish's spin can be shortened depending on the situation. Hope it clarifies any misunderstandings. Thank you though. 😊
In right hands, Hardlight is amazing. Speaking from experience. Electricity and Earth do some great damage with low sp and low arts. And if you go precision, the damage will be slightly better with electricity than munitions might or earth might etc.
Not at low but i beg to differ with his response. I was munitions and it does do good amount of damage, not as much as those precision gadgets who had more sp than me at the time (220 or less) other munitions players may still out dmg me cause i started over so i have to get my sp back (286) and my arts
So I have my weapons skill points put in and the proper weapon equipped but it’s not letting me do any melee combos except the starter basic ones I’m a fire flight brawler and I tried re equipping my weapon nothing and re loged nothing should I delete and revive my character or will I just lose everything then? I’m on ps4
Please go to your weapon tree and unlock all the weapon combos under that weapon tree, using your skill points. The method shown in the video is for might users who don't use the weapon.
Hi, i notice with wintry tempest power, i don't see spike animation when there is full players beside me... why ? Same for sorcery power, the big circle don't have color, when there is full players beside me. I go to video setting, but noting. Help please
I dps with munition and i got nerfed and i also dps with other powers and i believe might powers have gotten nerfed and am currently looking for a good damage loadouts
Hi Joey! Might DPS is very much balanced at the moment. You can definitely keep up with 95% of other powers/setups/players if you have the right loadout/450+SP/200 artifacts etc. Munitions is still one of the best might powers. Let me know if you are looking for a certain powerset loadout or if there is anything else I can help you with. =)

Before I would have agreed on avalanche but with the buff to the superman ally frost blast now is a more consistent and reliable option
Isnt it better to use Ice Boulder Strike instead of Heat Vision for AOE? It has a way higher damage.

Its called Robotic Arm Style. You get it from completing the collection "The Ultimate Arm" You can also get it from second chance vendor. 😊
