I've never hated Joey King, I've always hated the roles she was given. Whenever there was a poorly written character in a poorly written story, Joey King was in that role. I've always felt bad because I knew she was an amazing actress! Especially with Bullet Train, I loved her role in that film. It sucks whenever she is placed in a role with shitty writing.
I didn't even know she was hated on. She seems a nice person. I guess a lot of people know her as "Elle from The Kissing Booth" and can't differentiate the character from the actress playing her (and even that character wasn't a bad person. Just a poorly written and annoying character with terribly toxic people she surrounds herself with). I do agree that she's a talented actress who just needs to pick better roles. She was amazing in Bullet Train. I hope she chooses more roles like the ones she got for Bullet Train and The Act in th future.
@@mynameisreallycool1 i dont get why she was hated on bfr either but why isnt she being hated now why is SHE being loved after she allegedly cheated on her fiance i really dont get it
these days we are so used to toxicity on the internet that whenever we see any right under our noses, without explanation to why we should dislike a certain person that is popular but is being cancelled, we just agree and go with it without knowing any details or doing our own research.
i think it is, as always, a matter of how easy it is for adult (mostly men) audiences to make fun of young girls without any repercussions. as a society we have it so normalized that anything a teenage girl does or enjoys is cringe or embarrassing or just worthy of making fun of, that why don't hate on the girl herself? social media has just made it all worst, and the tabloid "scandals" of the 2000s are now twitter threads and tik tok compilations
Seriously, this video is so needed!!!! These days it's become cool to act like the "mean girl" who bullies someone because she knows she'll get away with it! It's sad that girls so young, and sometimes immature because of their age (like millie), have to deal with so much hate, when they are just trying to live their own lives... You were amazing for talking about it, I loved the video! 💕
Heavy on Charlie. Poor girl is only 18, and people either hate or sexualize her to no end. I don't see any of that aimed at Khaby Lame, or other male TikTok stars...
I hate how everyone forgot that Charlie blew up from stealing a black girls dance and y’all still kept supporting her. She got all the brand deals from a dance she didn’t create I can’t stand Charlie also she is where she is cause she’s white. Cause when the black girl did get credited all she got was a ep on the Ellen show. White privileged is so annoying and Charlie is where she is because of it. Also the dance I’m referring to is renegade.
@@selfawareness9124a lot of people on tiktok got famous for doing other peoples dances. Tiktok is supposed to be a fun app, Charli wasn’t trying to get famous. Redirect that to the people who MADE her famous not Charli herself (also male tiktok ears do the exact same thing y’all only hate Charli because of your misogyny)
@@KaylahParker06 You totally ignored all the negative shit she did, huh? Whether she wanted to be famous or not, she is and she fails to be a positive role model. Do I think she deserves the sexualization, death threats, etc.? No, but that's also a consequence of associating with bad people, AND being on the internet. I am in no way misogynistic, since I never said I hated or even disliked Charli. I don't support none of those TikTokers cause none of them are good people, but you have to be completely dense to completely ignore some of the negative things she's done.
@@selfawareness9124 You keep saying “some of the negative things she’s done” without naming them. She’s human, a teenaged girl, the only dense person here is you because nobody is ignoring it. The person in the original comments point was people drag Charli for being famous more than they drag her for her actual negative actions. Also it’s not her job to be a role model, if you look at teenagers on the internet to be role models for you or your kids then you have issues. Just because she makes mistakes doesn’t mean she’s not a “positive role model” she’s human. I can say you are a negative person for insulting a teenaged girl but that would be wrong. Keep the same energy with everybody, famous or not.
Fr I'm glad someone else mentioned this, they did her horrid. I remember seeing drama after drama video on her and the "drama" was literally just them thinking she's cringe like that's some sort of moral failing or something. I wish the people who made this content would be held accountable
I'm seriously so so glad that someone is finally talking about the way that the internet treats these girls because it's always irked me, especially in Charli D'amelio's case. She was 15 when she started blowing up on tiktok, it was the era where everyone was doing their silly little renegade tiktok dances just for funsies, and teenage boys started commenting on how they were losing nnn to tiktoks of her dancing. Then she blew up and everyone immediately hated her for not deserving it. Like yeah duh she doesn't deserve that ammount of attention, she's 15. That's insane. And it seemed like what kept relevant for a long time was a lot of people continuing to complain about it. I can't imagine how stressful all that must be at once, especially when you're brain is still developing. She was just posting dance videos.
Exactly. I was consistently baffled at how much hate Charli was getting when she was just doing what every teenage girl was doing at the time. The dudes I knew who would complain about Charli being untalented and undeserving would go in the bathroom and make terrible TikToks the next minute. People were just jealous that a teenage girl became rich and famous on a whim without asking for it.
I think most of her hate comes from the fact that she stole the dance as her own and even when the creator reached out to her about she ignored it. The fact that the creator was black didn’t help her case either because throughout history someone white stealing from someone black was something that happened all the time. Her gaining wealth a popularity from something she didn’t create and the fact that she wasn’t going to say anything is something that is wrong and mean no matter her age
@@bluemore8607 she was wrong in that case but let's not undermine the fact that teenage girls have been cruelly judged for the smallest things. People were sending certain messages way before that whole situation arrived and even after most only mentioned it for performative activism and a couple bucks for a reused idea.
Just for context: people were celebrating the cheating allegations of Aaron Taylor Johnson because he was GROOMED by his wife. That’s why people suddenly “liked” Joey
Yessss. Recently I’ve noticed this with Miley Cyrus. I feel like the media loved to hate on her for being irresponsible and “too much” for the past few years. Suddenly “Flowers” hits the top of the charts and everyone is team Miley because they love the song and the associated drama with her ex husband. Fake fans? We’re really easily convinced when to like or dislike celebrities
I've been seeing this comment online, and even hearing it from people I know lately. "I'm not a fan of Miley or her personality, but I love this song." Or "I guess she decided to clean her act up." These people still haven't let go of the idea that she went crazy. All because a Disney girl became a bit raunchy, it's not like she killed someone.
I think it's also the same case for Taylor Swift. When she released her "mature" album "folklore" she became a critic favourite and suddenly, it's cool to like Taylor Swift now. People who have been dragging her doing this and that started to praise her for her existence. I wonder where Taylor would've been if the pandemic and the making of folklore didn't exist... I'm happy she's getting the praise she deserves though...
Reminds me of when everyone turned on Jennifer Lawrence for always “trying too hard to be relatable.” I loved how open and honest she was and how she wasn’t always taking herself too seriously and trying to be perfect all the time. IDK how people tried to turn that into a bad thing. Society will always try to villainize women.
this reminds me a lot of taylor swift, like when everyone hated her and wouldn't believe her w the whole kimye thing. it's really sad that famous women who bring nothing but positive energy to the table are beaten up to the point where they drop off the face of the earth.
So glad I was never part of that hate train back then. People really really wanted her career to end all because she became really popular and successful with her album 1989 and even Kanye West tried to take credit for her success. It was just so sickening to watch people be so brain dead and believe a Kardashian over Taylor Swift. .
I have noticed this with Taylor Swift. People fully tried to ruin her reputation, image and hated on her at one point for no valid reason and its all because she became really really successful with her album 1989. People truly wanted her career to end right after but then she came back stronger than the 90s trend with her reputation album.
I remember when the whole Kanye and Talyor thing happend there were articles written about her and saying that she's trying to hard to get sympathy just because interviewers frequently asked her about it. Like how is she asking for sympathy when she didn't do anything wrong?
They are beautiful, successful girls who have perceived “easy” jobs or who take “replaceable” roles and it makes people jealous because they believe “anyone could do it”. I, personally immediately get a toxic disgusted feeling when I see a “cringy” TikTok because I could never have the confidence to allow myself to be “cringe”, because many of us have been critiqued by peers for it in the past. We feel like we need to put that onto these girls because we have been taught cringy=embarrassing but that’s not the case.
The Millie memes 😭 I thought it was really funny at the time too because of the absurdity of it, but looking back it was really mean to do that to a kid lol
just like how kpop stans are treating wonyoung in kpop. they say the most heartwrenching and brutal sh1t about her and the funniest thing is that she's one of most unproblematic popular idols with almost all of her scandals being formulated on people's head. and people are so comfortable with hating her that they can freely state they hate her for no reason and they'll get like thousands of likes and supportive comments.

if millie bobby brown has a million fans i am one of them. if millie bobby brown has one fan that is me. if millie bobby brown has no fans then i am no longer on this earth.
I love Millie Bobby Brown so much. I don’t know why, but something about her just makes me love her. The same thing with Marilyn Monroe, Scarlett Johansson, and Gal Gadot! There’s just such a strong allure to them, they are my favorite actresses ever.
I mean people want Aaron to leave due to him being groomed by the girl when he was young. Alongside her also knowing Aaron as a kid, family friend wise. So Aaron's wife is a groomer creep, & trapped him with a baby. That's why people were excited to see him get out anyway possible.
She was also the director of a movie he starred in when he was just starting his acting career. They had an audition in HER home. Even if Aaron made the first move, he was a kid. Even if he's legal he was a LITERAL child, why would she, a middle aged woman, accept his affection and basically monopolize him? She was in a position of power, she's friends with so many famous, powerful people (fucking Elton John) and he was a rookie actor. Even if Aaron himself doesn't see it and truly loves her, their relationship is wrong and I hope Aaron realised how much she's done to him.
Yep! And even further, she was the director of the film he starred in when he was 17, which is where and how they met. So not only did she snatch him as soon as he turned 18, got pregnant with his baby when he was 19, there was also a power imbalance there. He also mentioned his difficult childhood, so he was a troubled child, which is usually where groomers strike. It's absolutely disgusting and the fact that hollywood covered it up so much, that I only found out about this after seeing him in 'Anna Karenina' last year, and looking stuff up about him manually, is crazy.
@@daria2804jesus. I don't know these people so, watching this video, I was like "there's nothing wrong with that, he's on his 30s, that's fine", but with that given context... yikes 😬
Isn't it funny that when everyone decides that they're going to do something to be different, the people who didn't decide to be different are actually the ones who are different? Tbh I wish that we could spread more love and positivity in the world instead of hating on people because it's cool
I am always hated for no reason. After year’s people say “I thought you were so fake and no one is actually that nice. But, you really are that nice.” So basically people hate me because “I’m too nice”. My family and friends keep telling me I have to get tougher and be meaner. It’s not that easy to force yourself to be someone your not. It really does hurt me though. I try so hard to treat people nicely. Yet, some people go out of their way to be so mean to me. I would never treat anyone that way.
this is kinda very irrelevant to the video but i really like the way your face looks in combination with the way your voice sounds. it's like yeah... yes that feels right i like this character design
i beleive jack dylan grazer alledgedly was being abusive to his girlfriend, physically and emotionally, there was video evidence, but yeah i never heard more, like you said people move on, and he is still getting work like he has shazam coming out soon, we really should follow up on that
I had my own eye opening experience about Taylor swift a couple years back and I totally totally fell under that trap. I've always adored Joey King though and was sad when I realized others disliked her..I always thought "but, for what?!" Lol
@norazulkifli2517 absolutely nothing of note, she's a perfectly talented and successful woman. My point was that I fell prey to the Taylor hate bandwagon a few years back when everyone disliked her for no reason. I would never be the type to post unnecessary hate comments, but in my personal life, I wasn't a fan for a while.
i'm sure a lot of people will comment this, but I'm still gonna just for awareness, but the situation with Aaron Taylor johnson. well first off i don't know why people assumed the rumors were about them, it's kinda insane, but whatever. but the reason people were so excited, it's not just that aaron is in an age gap relationship, it's that it's allegedly grooming. because he met his wife when he was 18 and she was the director of his first big movie, she was decades older than him, and had a position of power. and they got pregnant and married within a year. it was all very quick. but mainly, allegedly, she knewhim when he was a minor, she was a friend of the family, so very much illegal stuff. and generally things like him having like a 6 year age gap with one of her children, them having never been apart more than one or two days since getting together, people found it icky. while i think every relationship and people are different, and that some people are just more mature than other, i still find it very icky, the whole relationship, but without knowing them,i don't feel it's my place to judge (even though yikes). but at this point also they have been together for ages, they don't seem unhappy, and unless aaron comes out later with a tell all anddetails how he was a victim, i don't think this is gonna change any time soon. so people constantly hating on this woman, and praising joey for thinking she cheated with him, it's very much double standard vibes. because people are attracted to him, and want him. when the opposite happens, older men with younger women, it's so damn common that people don't bat an eye, they just joke about it. was it not super recently that people were joking about leo dating only women under 25? and i have seen many a woman saying that they would also date whatever super old male celebrity. but because this is an older woman with a younger man, even though i do agree it's wrong, the way people are acting doesn't fell like it's for the right reason. it's intense vitriol at this woman (again not rooting for her) but never the same energy for men who do the same thing. i know it gets called out, I'm not saying it's not, but it really feels different, people just get over it. anyway rant over
THIS !! I was also grossed out by ppl supporting the idea of him being in a age-gap relationship w Joey (someone much younger than him). That’s when I realized his fangirls don’t really care about the possibility of him being in a grooming situation but want to see him with someone they can relate to- someone younger than his wife. It’s gross. Also criticism of his wife Sam have gone past alleged grooming and just for her being a 50 year old woman. It’s gross and is the type of ageism and misogyny we as women are actively trying to fight. You never see women talking about and degrading men who participate in controversial age gap relationships like they do Sam.
@@hurtydurty5711it's really not. The whole situation is icky. Even if Aaron and Sam do love eachother and they're happy, the way they started was wrong and it's textbook grooming. Aaron stopped talking to his family soon after getting into relations with Sam, she was his BOSS and if she said anything his career could be ruined, she basically baby-trapped him a year into their relationship, she held a HOME AUDITON for her movie and was alone with Aaron, she was allegedly FAMILY FRIEND and has known him since he was a kid. Her grooming shouldn't be excused because she's a woman. If you are excusing this then we should just excuse all of the groomers in Hollywood and around the world because it's "none of our business".
My biggest problem with the tiktok girls has nothing to do with them personally. I don't know them and I don't think they are bad/annoying people. I merely dislike the fact that they are this famous because they are pretty. And that's basically it. The videos they make are basically nothing special or different and mostly pretty low effort. And then they get super rich. (Yes, I realize that this is probably in part envy.)
I don't believe these children should be recieving death threats for it though. It's not like they weren't doing what every teenager was doing at the time and managed to hit the jackpot.
Same. Even though I strongly dislike so many celebrities. male or female, don't care. It's still unnecessary and absurd to go on around talking sh*t abt people to just end up making it worse. It doesn't make you any better than them 🤷
I just have to say this, you remind me sooo much of Rowan Blanchard as Riley in girl meets world 🌎!!! The look, the outfit and make up, even the way you speak! It's like a grown up version of her made this video, I love it 🤩
The thing that drives me insane about the Millie Bobby Brown hate is that so much of it is rooted in her treatment of fans and paparazzi. From very early on she was super big with boundaries and just... didn't take pictures with people that she didn't want to. She went from this kid with a totally ordinary life to a worldwide sensation. She was thrust into A-list celebrity overnight. The fact that she was able to set up and maintain those boundaries is so impressive and awesome to me. Maybe there were a few untactful moments coming from a kid/teenager, but on the whole she has been respectful and appropriately assertive. With the amount of harassment she is constantly having to deal with, I am so impressed by her fortitude and tact. It's really a testament to how we as a society treat celebrities and especially women. It's so weird that this thing I admire her so much for is what so many people hate her for. It makes me kind of sick and just really sad.
Idk I stopped supporting Charli after the whole pandemic partying thing. People were dying and there was a quarantine in place and because she had money she got to travel and have fun when other influencers and celebrities were at least staying home

She even was having parties and stuff. That was also the point where I turned away. I simply stopped following her and keeping up with her after that. I did not went on a hate train tho because she was way too young and that's the big difference.
I remember watching this video where someone literally made a compilation about why they hated Millie, and some of the reasons were she thinks she's too good for everyone and was rude to cast members(none of whom btw complained about this perceived rudeness). And also because her siblings made some racist tweets. Then Madison Beer, I still do not understand why she was hated so much till now. The whole energy put into hating these really young women is giving NLOG vibes, which is very much internalised misogyny. Cause a lot of the young girls doing the hating, have no (at least imo) concrete reasons for disliking these girls. And I really wish young girls could come out of these mindsets and support each other, or at the very least not hate each other.
Bella Poarch is a talented singer, her song Dolls even got in the M3GAN trailer, so it’s not like she’s untalented or anything lol. Why is she getting hate specifically?
Idk if I should add this person to the list, but I bella poarch DEFINITELY comes to mind when I think about this topic. Hell, I think that's when I started to realize that I was hating on people for no reason just because they're populary disliked.
YESS people literally hate her just because she gets a lot of likes on videos for being pretty! They act like she’s being cute or pretty to spite them. Or like she controls her likes. Like seriously.
I don't think so. Unlike these girls Bella Porch isn't a minor. She's an adult woman who's sexualising the behaviour of young girls to gain profit from it. I don't think hate is ever okay but there's a lot to criticize about her.

@@caitlingill it's probably due to the culture of tiktok choosing attractive people over those who aren't but still have some talent to be more famous. But I think that blame shouldn't go to the people who so happen to be famous. That's my only issue. 🤷🏾♀️
I don't see why people think they have the right to judge other people's relationships as long as it's involving consenting adults. The audacity is just so extreme. Mind your business. It also baffles me how people don't understand that there's a difference between the roles an actor plays and the real person. The odds of Percy Hynes White coming back to play Xavier on season 2 of Wednesday seem pretty slim right now even if the allegations are false. Netflix is very unlikely to want to take that kind of risk. Millie Bobbie Brown was apparently 15 when she did that makeup video. I can't imagine having something so trivial done when I was that age being judged on the Internet. The whole thing is bizarre.
Yes, but the problem with Arron’s relationship is that she was his boss. He starred in a movie called nowhere boy when he was 17 of which she was the director. She was in her 40s and recently divorced. As soon as he turned eighteen they got married. There was clearly an unfair power imbalance and it’s very likely he was groomed
It is getting a little hard to just mind my own business when it comes to Leonardo DiCaprio's relationships. They are becoming more and more predatory.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention Raini Rodriguez… the comments people made toward her made me feel SO icky! They do this shit a lot to fat women and women of color

Charlie D'Amelio and co are disliked for literally stealing the Renegade, making tones, and not giving credit to the original creator until the uproar. I wonder if she has since financially compensates the creator of the renegade
Charli didn’t steal renegade. She never claimed it was her dance. There’s no possible way for Charli to have stolen it if jalaiah made it on dub smash (which Charli does not have). They have no connection to each other. Another black dancer did the dance on tiktok everybody started doing it, then Charli started doing it. Just like every other tiktok dance. People are only causing this much uproar because jalaiah spoke up about it. Nobody had a word to say for any other dance. A lot of creators did it so I don’t understand why a 15 year old girl is getting dragged compared to the millions of grown ass adults who did the dance too.
@@vsboardza Every teenager was doing the renegade at the time. She joined in and randomly got famous off it, its not her fault. She didn't steal, if anything the person who posted the dance on TikTok first without crediting the original creator is the villain in this.
I WAS JUST THINKING ABT THIS. Charli and the girl tiktokers switch up their brand, post half-good content, and actually try but get absolute bs for it. The boy tiktokers sit around, show their abs, and then yell at people on their literal reality to show for no reason, and get praised for being hot. I just DONT GET IT. Recently I saw a hype house video or something about them talking abt fans and one of the guy refers to them as ‘fan fans or like real people’. I actually couldn’t believe my ears. People are still going at this girl named Elsie pearls who was accused of grooming someone (who ended up making fake messages) and using her bf, Finn wolfhard for money. Those were rumors. Cylia Chasman came out about the ab UUUse. So I’m wondering why in the world are cylia hate pages and people who claimed she was lying for attentions are coming to attack Elsie. I don’t know. It’s all so messed up
Jojo Siwa too. Fr all the poor girl did was dress colorfully and act energetic and the entire internet tore her apart for literally no reason, she did Not deserve any of that. It's even more disgusting that this all happened when she was a child, full grown adults dogpiling her for not dressing "mature" enough. Vile behavior. Fr any grown person who obsesses over a teenage girl needing to dress more like an adult woman to that extent needs to be put on a watchlist or something, some of that content was downright creepy
I feel like this whole topic of disliking women for ultimately no good reason is really really important and super relevant. Every time I find myself disliking influential figures who are women, I've started asking myself "Do I really find this person's temperament/personality distasteful? Or do I only have a problem with the way she behaves because she's a woman?" Not always, but a decent amount of the time, it's the latter. And it happens often enough to shock me, because I really want and try to be aware of how internalized misogyny can affect me, even as a woman. Yet when I phrase it so plainly, I always realize how ridiculous or unfounded my annoyance towards certain influential female figures can be.
As a teen I used to get second hand embarrassment for certain people, but now I have to remember that sometimes it has nothing to do with them but with me and internalized ideas and perspectives I have, I don't feel bad for cringing at picks mes or people who bring other people down tho
if you’ve watched heartstopper, i think a cool video for your series of “in their perspective” could be “Heartstopper but from Isaac’s perspective.” We’re supposed to see him more in season one, but we don’t see him much in the first one :)
Charli did do some hanging out and partying during COVID. Like and Joey King only said Kissing Booth was a very good film 😭 but like I don't want to fight them over that. The Charli one I do think is quite interesting not to mention her stealing from black creators but then supporting blm but no calling herself out for her part in it. But that's not really my place I'm poc but not black. But apart from those reasons like I don't think Charli is a bad person just someone who has made a lot of stupid mistakes and needs to apologise for those. But the rest I don't really know 😭 and I don't even think they've done anything extremely wrong. Like Millie just gets hate for existing and gets blamed for her stylist's styling choices.
Never understand why Milly was so hated, whenever I see someone asking why she’s so hated someone comes up and said she ships/likes Mike/Eleven, which is just ??? Ok?? She likes Mike/Eleven than Mike/Will and people are mad at her for that? People are seriously equating harmless fictional ship like its a crime?? Some of these are not normal. Also Millie with a bob? Superb!

The same thing is happening to Alice Earl. The same thing happened to T Swift and how to this day Hailey gets a lot of hate for SG and JB relationship that anything she posts somehow gets linked to “shading SG”

As a die hard horror fan, I NEVER understood the Joey King hate, because she's INCREDIBLE in The Conjuring, and she was so young as well. I know she had a lot of potencial. So I'm glad people stopped hating her just for doing some cliche problematic fanfiction turned to filme. I also loved her in Bullet Train
There are many celebrities I dislike or find annoying, I just don’t listen to them or watch their material. I’ve never understood why people feel a need to blast their hatred for people like they personally did something to them. And ironically searching out their content to hate on them just encourages the algorithm to give you that material 😂 so darn silly.
millie bobby brown is my biggest inspiration when it comes to acting I love her acting and she's one of my favorite hollywood actresses. I am working to be an actress, I'm rlly passionate about it
the treatment brooke monk gets online is so terrible 😕 reading through the comments on her tiktok is so disgusting and it’s such a shame cause she seems like such a sweet girl!! the comments are always people talking about her body and like yk how theres the little search bar at the top of the comments now?? it’s always something gross and sexualizing. she really doesn’t deserve all the hate she gets and all the inappropriate comments 😭
I really dont know any of these girls but millie bobby brown. And while I do understand why people may think shes bossy or annoying, I truly dont think it is affecting her real life and success. Like shes not making less money. Shes still a millionaire. All of these girls are still very successful and loved. Idk this seems like a non issue
i mean sure but also being bullied of the internet as a young person who really hasn't done anything wrong def still hurts even when you're famous. and it also still says something about our behaviour on the internet, and where we have to reflect
millie was a child when the internet started shitting on her and making all those "jokes". it does not matter how much money she earned, SHE WAS A CHILD. no CHILD should ever be bullied like that, she did not deserve that.
millie bobbie brown is honestly phenomenally talented, funny and beautiful and i don’t understand why people hate her so much. Especially after she recently got engaged like???
They probably are still mad about that clips where she's """interrupting""" the st cast, when in reality they were all talking over each other and were around 12 and 15 years old.
I always find that women / young girls always get the most attention and then by default ppl (the internet) just project onto them as a result of that and since our culture is still influenced by outdated misogynistic beliefs ppls insecurities and judgements get taken out on these women who are in the spotlight
People need to wake up and hate the real problematic PPL and not just teenagers being cringe ( surprise news- teenagers are cringe it's a necessary phase.)
i think young girls hated joey cause she was dating the Jacob Elordi so its pretty much like very preteens and teen girls use to hate selena gomez cause she was dating jb its just an immaturity thing
I remember hating Anne Hathaway for no reason. I disliked how she looked in the first film I ever saw her in, then found out the internet hated her and then... just joined in? I was like 12. But then I found out everyone hated her and I couldn't find any reason for the "Hathahate" and for once my "not like other girl" tendencies were a positive because if everyone was hating soemone... I wanted to not do that. But yeah, it made me seriously examine my own opinions and realised I was being hateful for no reason. Plus I saw her in Les Mis pretty soon after and loved her in it. So that helped.
Yeah I don’t support hate toward Charli but I definitely don’t respect or follow her because the way she got her fame was so calculated and wrong. I get it it was a long time ago but it still urks me that she got famous off of something that she stole. Just the fact that she knew she could get away with it because black people have gotten things stolen from us for years with no repercussions. I don’t wish ill will upon her but I definitely don’t support her because I can’t imagine what else she’ll do to gain fame 🤷🏾♀️
no she did not still it everyone was doing the renegade, the original dance came from dubsmash but nobody knew who the og creator was she never once claimed the og dance as her own and even tagged the creator when she found out. The only thing she claimed was the RENEGADE dance that acctually went viral because she made it. Theres 2 versions of the renegade the more famous one was the one charli made and the ORIGINALLy famous one was made by jalaih (i think that's her name) plus Charli already has 3 million followers before renegade was even a thing
I dislike Drew Barrymore, but I girl I would defend her to the ends of the Earth. She seems like a sweetie pie. So will I curse someone out for talking bad about her? Yes. Will I ever willingly watch a movie she’s in? No.
"The act" proved that she can do an AMAZING acting job... This girl truly deserve better characters!!!!
@@mynameisreallycool1 i dont get why she was hated on bfr either but why isnt she being hated now why is SHE being loved after she allegedly cheated on her fiance i really dont get it

the misogyny on the internet, especially internalised misogyny, is really scary.
and sadly it usually comes from other bitches
It’s a mirror to reality
these days we are so used to toxicity on the internet that whenever we see any right under our noses, without explanation to why we should dislike a certain person that is popular but is being cancelled, we just agree and go with it without knowing any details or doing our own research.
Pretty much
Thank you for commenting something I was too afraid to say out loud.
@@MeiCake girl pls 🙄
Absolutely
it’s really sad honestly. 🥺 i hate this generation so much.
i think it is, as always, a matter of how easy it is for adult (mostly men) audiences to make fun of young girls without any repercussions. as a society we have it so normalized that anything a teenage girl does or enjoys is cringe or embarrassing or just worthy of making fun of, that why don't hate on the girl herself? social media has just made it all worst, and the tabloid "scandals" of the 2000s are now twitter threads and tik tok compilations

Khaby didn't get famous for other people's dance moves or date problematic people either
@@crowfoot8059it was this comment that made me realize this video was from a year ago 😂

They’d probably hate her if she didn’t try and be relatable, probably calling her a rich snob

i'm sure a lot of people will comment this, but I'm still gonna just for awareness, but the situation with Aaron Taylor johnson. well first off i don't know why people assumed the rumors were about them, it's kinda insane, but whatever.
but the reason people were so excited, it's not just that aaron is in an age gap relationship, it's that it's allegedly grooming. because he met his wife when he was 18 and she was the director of his first big movie, she was decades older than him, and had a position of power. and they got pregnant and married within a year. it was all very quick. but mainly, allegedly, she knewhim when he was a minor, she was a friend of the family, so very much illegal stuff. and generally things like him having like a 6 year age gap with one of her children, them having never been apart more than one or two days since getting together, people found it icky. while i think every relationship and people are different, and that some people are just more mature than other, i still find it very icky, the whole relationship, but without knowing them,i don't feel it's my place to judge (even though yikes). but at this point also they have been together for ages, they don't seem unhappy, and unless aaron comes out later with a tell all anddetails how he was a victim, i don't think this is gonna change any time soon.
so people constantly hating on this woman, and praising joey for thinking she cheated with him, it's very much double standard vibes. because people are attracted to him, and want him. when the opposite happens, older men with younger women, it's so damn common that people don't bat an eye, they just joke about it. was it not super recently that people were joking about leo dating only women under 25? and i have seen many a woman saying that they would also date whatever super old male celebrity. but because this is an older woman with a younger man, even though i do agree it's wrong, the way people are acting doesn't fell like it's for the right reason. it's intense vitriol at this woman (again not rooting for her) but never the same energy for men who do the same thing. i know it gets called out, I'm not saying it's not, but it really feels different, people just get over it.
anyway rant over

The thing that drives me insane about the Millie Bobby Brown hate is that so much of it is rooted in her treatment of fans and paparazzi. The fact that she was able to set up and maintain those boundaries is so impressive and awesome to me.
@@BeaCNever LITERALLY! Like- 💀🤦🏾♀️
Bella Poarch is a talented singer, her song Dolls even got in the M3GAN trailer, so it’s not like she’s untalented or anything lol. Why is she getting hate specifically?
True but ATJ was groomed by Samantha
Yes, but the problem with Arron’s relationship is that she was his boss. He starred in a movie called nowhere boy when he was 17 of which she was the director. She was in her 40s and recently divorced. As soon as he turned eighteen they got married. There was clearly an unfair power imbalance and it’s very likely he was groomed
It is getting a little hard to just mind my own business when it comes to Leonardo DiCaprio's relationships. They are becoming more and more predatory.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention Raini Rodriguez… the comments people made toward her made me feel SO icky! They do this shit a lot to fat women and women of color
seeing millie fall prey to the taylor swift effect broke my heart
I literally wait for your comebacks to RUclips. I love your videos so much lol
wow I never sit and watch a video of someone just spitting their opinion but I was actually so interested in everything you had to say, u seem like such a cool gal, someone i'd love to be friends with
Misogyny is the answer. Internalized misogyny too.
i love charli, the damelio show anxiety clips were so relatable, i liked how they showed that side of her life, i feel for her, it’s not like she asked to be famous, but she’s grateful for it.
Also the whole renegade situation was a scapegoat because even before that Charli was being dragged for no reason.
@@KaylahParker06 Charlie gained a massive following off of it. And has since gained wealth, popularity and so on from gained following
@@vsboardza she gained a massage following off of dancing in a bathroom, yes she’s known for renegade but that’s not what made her famous.
Charli is still getting crap for the billion thing and NO ONE has talked about this dude. ALSO the allegations thing I will just say, jack dylan grazer ab u sss e d cylia Chatman like over two years ago. I am still fighting people on comments over them lying about her lying. Or something.
Nah this video was too funny. Your commentary is amazing 😭😭
I forgot Millie dated Jacob 💀
if you’ve watched heartstopper, i think a cool video for your series of “in their perspective” could be “Heartstopper but from Isaac’s perspective.” We’re supposed to see him more in season one, but we don’t see him much in the first one :)
Bro Charli never stole from a black creator ☠️ stop getting your resources incorrect, a white man stole from the black creator.
Superb!
It’s funny cause the things they point out as annoying in their attitudes, are neurodivergent traits (I am not saying they are neurodivergent)
i love amanda so much bro
i hate the comments under brooke monks videos because it's either people hypersexualizing her, call her bare face ugly, or infantalizing/patronizing her and asking where the "innocent" brooke went and it's all just very strange
You kinda look like Hailee Steinfeld, especially in the edge of seventeen
Similar voice and cadence as well
idk wether you’ve done a video on this but i wanna hear your thoughts on “pick me girl” after hearing everything you had too say abt this bc too me the whole pick me girl thing has been going on for way past it’s time it’s misogynist and has become scary similar to words like “sl*t” and wh*re” at least imo
i agree ppl be calling anyone a pick me at this point
Can easily say the most informative and knowledgeable video I've watched this month. You summed up every opinion of mine. Thank god people with this kind of thinking still do exist. Thanks for the video!
A lot of LA influencers give me the ick and that’s because there’s a layer of fakeness/toxic positivity that rubs me the wrong way
Not the biggest fan of Charli and as a black girl that incident did upset me a little. But other than that she really hasn't done anything. She just dances🤨yall just be taking yall hate out on her
I wouldn't care as much about a big age gap between people who got together as adults, but Sam Taylor Johnson started dating Aaron when he was 17 and she was in her 40s and married.
I feel old and/or uncultured for not even knowing most of these people (apart from maybe their name) and IM 23 MA'AM
The same thing is happening to Alice Earl. The same thing happened to T Swift and how to this day Hailey gets a lot of hate for SG and JB relationship that anything she posts somehow gets linked to “shading SG”
I love how literal children get slaughtered for some annoying teenage quirks but grown ass men are glorified even if they have serious allegations to their names
Yes this exactly. Even bella poarch, the hate train was insane
bc i haven't seen a comment about it, jack dylan grazer's ex gf came out with abuse and assault allegations against him and there was kind of a lot of evidence and people supporting her who knew him personally.
I agree also your skin is flawless
It's similar in K-pop to with Jennie Kim people are literally micro analysing her every step
I’m a woman secure in herself and I CALL OUT automatic hatred of others due to looks. It always makes them uncomfortable because the veil is lifted.
Sometimes it’s men that think I’d feel better about myself just because a famous girl is 🔥. But bruh….I’m good. Like I’m pretty and I’m lazy and I get whatever category I fit in matches my vibration. I’m not even on this planet half the time. Let just be nice and cool with each other
Ramona and Beezus was a childhood fave of mine, so Joey immediately became and actor I really liked bc of her role in the movie 😅 (she was Ramona btw), and literally no other reason 😭😭.
I never got hating on pretty or popular girls it's weird...smfh
I am working to be an actress, I'm rlly passionate about it
Lmao we lived the same memory of hating Justin Bieber when he first came out bc it was the cool thing to do, and I Lowkey thought he slapped 😂💀
You seem like someone that would be a good friend, like a friendly friend
the treatment brooke monk gets online is so terrible 😕 reading through the comments on her tiktok is so disgusting and it’s such a shame cause she seems like such a sweet girl!! the comments are always people talking about her body and like yk how theres the little search bar at the top of the comments now?? it’s always something gross and sexualizing. she really doesn’t deserve all the hate she gets and all the inappropriate comments 😭
I would be ok with Aron cheating since she’s literally predator and groomer so I hope he can get away from her soon
In tiktok who get most famous are girl's yes but mostly " MINORS GIRL" girls who are like 14-16
Jack dylan said the n word like so many times for no reason
I always find that women / young girls always get the most attention and then by default ppl (the internet) just project onto them as a result of that and since our culture is still influenced by outdated misogynistic beliefs ppls insecurities and judgements get taken out on these women who are in the spotlight
People need to wake up and hate the real problematic PPL and not just teenagers being cringe ( surprise news- teenagers are cringe it's a necessary phase.)
LMAO I HAD TO PAUSE AND WAIT FOR A SEC AFTER THE LOUIS AND MILLIE LIVE STREAM CLIP WHAT IS GOING ON IN THATA AAHFA
0:50 she also met him when he was 18 and she was 42, when she cast him in a film so it is very groomy!
why does amanda remind me of love from you and riley from girl meets world 😭
i swear i have fought SO many people over the joey king stuff. i adore her, shes so sweet and unproblematic so why tf do people choose to hate on her?
Ur not annoying. Ur funny pretty and cool
"Hate for no reason" (in other words - jealousy)
that just about sums it up, lol
now everyone loves aaron taylor johnson for cheating on joey king
i think young girls hated joey cause she was dating the Jacob Elordi so its pretty much like very preteens and teen girls use to hate selena gomez cause she was dating jb
its just an immaturity thing
I think most of this stems from jealousy.
No.
See, that's perfectly acceptable.
she was ramona. selena gomez was beezus
