Real Madrid beat Barcelona 2-1 at the weekend, in an El Clasico which seen Jude Bellingham shine with 2 goals to win the game.
While Bellingham is off to a hot start to his Madrid career, Barcelona have cause for concern this season. They sit adrift of Real Madrid, Girona and Atletico Madrid in the table - with this game against their rivals raising some eyebrows about if they are perhaps falling behind their rivals on the pitch.
The Athletic’s FC Barcelona correspondent Pol Ballus, Junior Spanish Editor Tomas Hill Lopez-Menchero, The Athletic’s journalist Michael Cox and Ayo Akinwolere discuss Bellingham's huge rising star status on the world football scene, and just how Barcelona might just be starting to worry.

It's getting annoying how people keep saying Barca deserved to win or played better. Granted, they had the better lineup and setup at the start. But Real Madrid and Ancelotti's decisions (particularly the subs) allowed the team to adapt and take advantage. Granted, Jude scored an absolute belter, but it was clear in the 2nd half the momentum shifted to Real Madrid.

Barcelona have had to endure years of oppression since Franco's regime and up to the 21st century, Di Stefano was literally stolen from Barcelona by the regime. Now, Barca are not in a good state currently, but to go against the biggest club in the world head to head for years while they're oppressed just like Atletico, takes a lot of balls and guts... regardless in what position they are now, kudos to them for always being there. If anyone is the villain here, it's the club that has always had a whole country's backing behind it, the literal club of the king

Right now Atletico Madrid are the only team who can compete with Madrid. They are 3 points behind with a game in hand. Barca did not do a transition period like Madrid who started the transition since 2014. If Barca had adopted their philosophy since that time they would be closer. Even Atletico are bringing in young talents like Samu Lino, Rodrigo Riquelme and Pablo Barrios and are helping Atleti challenge for the title already.
