I've never thought that Omnichord was a old retro instrument and yet it was still useful. After you said that was used on Adventure Time, I was very impressed. I hope you can use it for your upcoming Soundtrack, Luke. And that music to try with the Omnichord is majestically beautiful.

I’d never heard of this song before watching your video, and I find the different in instrumentation makes such a huge difference: the original sounds like a very modern synth pop song that uses mostly virtual instruments and plugins to synthesize a lo-fi aesthetic. Yours reminds me of the mid-auguts indie music that used actual lo-fi instruments (including analog or VERY early digital synths) to actually BE lo-fi. I guess what I’m trying to say is yours is better. :P

Rebecca Sugar used the Omnichord a lot in writing music for Adventure Time and Steven Universe. I don't know if I am impressed that Sugar did that or unimpressed with how simple that instrument seems to be. Sugar does do some chord progressions not many musicians would think to do in their music so yeah.
I really hope someone starts making omnichords again as they really are fascinating instruments, I love looking at contemporary and strange instruments that nowadays could be emulated, when you hear the emulation it sounds good, but when you hear the original it actually sounds way different, and I can't explain why.

I watched Tim Henson (Polyphia guitarist) used the Omnichord as an inspiration to his new song (Playing God), and it was fabulous so when I saw you got one yourself, I knew it wouldn't be disappointing, I didn't knew the Omnichord was used for Adventure Time's OSTs, Though the Omnichord is a really good instrument that I want, its Retro and stuffs...sounds well for Pixel Games or 8-bit like games.

The Chior teacher said I had a Baritone voice apparently, and at like 11 years old, thats pretty damn low.

I used to see these in discount stores all the time in the 80's. I wish I had bought one because they weren't that expensive. I remember seeing them in second hand junk stores also. I knew of a Southern Gospel group that used one. It was a cheaper sub for an autoharp which was fairly expensive. Now they omnichord cost more than a real autoharp
