You know what? I don’t even mind the hate on the Boucher pick, it’s rightly deserved. Not to knock on the guy, but he was absolutely a reach and could have likely been taken in the 2nd round. Yet another masterclass move by Dorion whom I will not miss one bit.
In 2019, Trevor Zegras was selected 9th overall right ahead of Podkolzin.
Great News as a Wings fan lol 🎉🎉🎉
The Sens ruined him by picking him way too early. He got crushed by the pressure of living up to an unrealistic expectation
Pierre Dorion is weird sometimes
2 words. Alexander Daigle
Ever since the passing of former GM Bryan Murray, the Senators have been a ship without captain.
You are completely right, another way Dorion screwed my team.
It's not your fault any news coming out of Ott is negative, bad teams generate talking points about them being bad. The only options there are, are to either discuss their failures or not talk about them at all.
the last 3 years draft and picks trade are just horrible for ottawa! hope for them it will get better this year but it could be a nice video of how the poor decision in the last 3 years from ottawa led to the team being unable to end the rebuild after an amazing 2020 draft!
Traded Korchinski for nothing lol
Olli juolevi comes to mind 6th overall.
Utah Yeti's would be a better name.
I guess the Aves would have to ditch their foot stomp shoulder logo.
What was the reasoning for them not trading down?
Pierre Dorion happened.
It's all numbers. There is more to hockey than numbers.
This guys channel is basically all speculation, rumours and numbers . So I guess it makes sense lol
As a sens fan, he hasn’t played any hockey either so got that going for us too!
Lias Andersson 7th. Although he’s had back to back strong AHL seasons maybe he gets a second shot.
♫ If you're a Sens fan, I feel bad for you, son; I've got 99 problems, but a draft pick ain't one ♪♫
But no seriously, it feels bad to not only see such a low-ranked draft eligible player go that high for no reason, but also because his development is probably at or near its ceiling insofar as what can be reasonably expected from him. It also really sucks that Sens fans seem to be tuning you out. I mean yeah, no one wants to hear a bunch of negative talk about their team, but it also sucks that the only interesting stories and news out there about the team is indeed negative. There's always next year. Hopefully the new GM won't go out there and declare "the rebuild is over" prematurely this time around.
Lego you’ll probably end up being right but cmon you gotta stop calling players busts 1 or 2 players after the draft give them a couple years to develop my god we said the same about lafrenaire and look how that looks know
Looks like a bust. He still was under 60 points. Slafkovsky who is ranked the worst first overall pick since Yakapov already has just 7 less points then him at 19! Considering he also had like 2 points in the first 19 games thats amazing. You can argue that its his ice time and it is. HE plays BETTER then Laffy in that role. And as a #1 pick. You have to be a top line Forward or Defenseman. Slaf probably is. Laff probably not.
@@Brendajanephillips514lafrienere just achieved nearly 60 points....while not getting any power play time. Lafrienere was fifth in the league for even strength goals this year......lafrienere had MORE even strength goals than MCDAVID
@@Brendajanephillips514lafrienere got more points than slafkovsky and lafrienere didn't get powerplay time. Slafkovsky was on the first power play unit lmao.
@@Brendajanephillips514not to mention....lafrienere is lighting up the playoffs right now. He's already got 3 points lmao
How he not a 1ppg in ohl and he went top 10 it bust
Bader's model is kinda fraudulent, at least if you're trying to use it as a prediction tool. It's wrong more often than it's right, and the comparables are non-sensical
Lego, as a Sens fan we love you! Sometimes the truth hurts....Listen Boucher was a reach and should have gone in the second but appropriately should have gone in the 3rd round ( definitely a reach here) I can tell you that the Sens community was very taken back when he was drafted 1oth overall, we were hoping for Wyatt Johnston or Fabian Lysell. Anyhow the joys of Dorion's Masterclass!
ranked in much later rounds Pierre Dorion picked this slug ,over dozens of much more talented players...ranks up there with his bonehead Dadonov no trade clause trade costing a first round pick
This guys been hurt most the time since he got drafted
Nick Paul 2.0
With Demko done. Ya'll are about to hit the golf course in 3 games.
How's those holidays, bud?😂
How's Podkolzin doing? he went 10th overall 2 year preceding Boucher. Why were the Canucks playing Hoglander, a 2nd round pick the entire season ahead of Canucks 1st rounder, 10th overall?? Maybe you wanna' check your own backyard.
Yup, Vancouver was a tire fire and surprisingly had a successful season. This guy just isn’t a fan of the Sens and finds every way to talk negatively about the franchise
@@ashepherd39675 Canucks have finished in playoffs once besides this year in the last 6 years, 19-20 season.
Woah… don’t get offended- he’s just stating facts. Podkolzin isn’t doing great things either, he’s developing with abbottsford- I dont have high hopes- hopefully he will be a good bottom 6 guy for us in the future.
Why do you have so much rage when it comes to this subject? Is he Boucher your brother or something? Classic example of what-about-ism. Calm down.
@@Clue96 where’s the video on Podkokzin
@@ashepherd39675 👏👏👏 good one…. And Don’t ask me ask the idiot making the videos.
Even Andrei Kostytsyn was a better pick than Boucher.
Just to be fair, half of Senators prospects didn't play enough games because of their coaches limiting play times, that didn't help their careers, they need to be played more than less
Basically, the Sens chose him because he has a French last name.
They chose him because his dad played in the NHL.
