@algrundau9441 not really , just praying that he will be like how he was at the world's hockey championship, he was basically lights out and was the MVP of the tournament all I know is he is always super great under pressure situations but also is just okay when it not a pressure game. It would be nice to see any canadain team win the cup

Yes give Benning credit for acquiring a draft pick. That's all though, because in spite of his 'scouting skills' Benning showed on several draft videos at the table that Brackett was the one telling Benning where they should be focussing their attention especially from the 2nd round onward. Not always a great pick, but at least we have a few gems to help us out from that mostly forgettable era.

It's a 6th round pick. The credit should go to the drafting not the trade.

I hope montreal gets the first pick, we need a team on the east to be good so our canucks can play them in a Stanley cup finals

I had thought Nilsson was really good at times. Looked almost like a number one goalie, but was really inconsistent in his play. I had thought we might have a goal tending controversy but he just stayed the same. Actually may have gotten worse before he left. Even in Ottawa he looked lights out in a couple games, but his inconsistency cost him. Silovs was pure luck. I would not give Benning to much credit. Those who forget history tend to repeat it. People are happy that he dug some coins from some poop. Hey look I found over a dollar. Yay. His own poop. It is nice something good came from the mess he created, but not worthy of credit.
