Tammy's Treasures belongs to my boyfriend and I. We are so happy you stopped by. We are actually going to be doing more remodeling and having a grand opening. We would be thrilled to have you come back! Thank you so much for reviewing our store. You made our day!
Does anyone else think that gold ring with the turquoise and diamonds, looks like a bird's nest with a Robin's egg in it? I instantly thought that. It's a beautiful reminder of spring and new beginnings!
Laura, thank you for visiting all of us at Tammy's Treasures. I'm honored you chose to use our space as your thumb nail and so happy that our Cat found the perfect home. Love the videos and hope you stop by again soon. Happy hunting, Allen & Alisha, space 19.
Hi Allen & Alisha! You have no idea how much I love my new kitty! I had been looking for it for so many years 💚 It will be a cherished piece in our home for life 😻 Tammy’s treasures was wonderful and I can’t wait to come back. You have a great eye and clearly put so much work into your space! 👏
Because my husband was born and raised in Dundee, IL - the home of our dearly departed Haeger Pottery - and I’ve perused the old store and shopped it for so many years ... I’ve never seen the cat statue /candle holder you got. I feel a little jealous but so happy for you. Haeger is so recognizable in so many pieces. It’s rewarding to see a piece totally unexpected. I look for Haeger pieces all of the time, although we own so many already. I think it’s an acquired taste. Lol. Best wishes, good hunting, Laura. Loving what you are putting out there for us.
Those brass things you thought might be "measuring tools" marked with a number "1" are boat oar locks. They hold the oars for rowing a boat. Very cool.
@@kristinacleveland1805 I think the salt water doesn’t oxidize brass like it does other materials. This is why often fittings on boats are made of brass.
You’re the greatest! I love how you do maximalism so well! You have so many beautiful things but they never seem to be overcrowding or cluttery! Your style is so fresh and bright!!!
I cannot believe everything that you found, I want it all. I look forward to seeing what you found out about the purse. Girl you’re leaving me hanging on for a part 2.
Ok, between the brutalist ballerina, and the Haeger cat, I’m swooning. Wow! Ok, and I’m also loving your pronunciation of measuring. I’m denoting an accent of sorts and I love it!
Laura!! I so love and admire you!!! You are my absolutely my favorite RUclipsr!! I'm so glad you decided to start your own channel. I literally have the same taste and esthetic as you. I just wanted to let you know how much joy you bring to my life❣️❣️
Whoa! Janet Duncan, I thought I was the only oldie (married 1975) who was mesmerized by this lovely young collector. I didn’t appreciate the mid century modern style while I was living in it but Lauren has piqued my interest and appreciation in this style.
@@genevievemurray7743 married same year! I too love Laura’s video & her enthusiasm for all things MCM & boho! She has helped me enormously to be open to new items that I wasn’t crazy about living through that period- but I’ve been thrifting for my daughter’s Etsy shop!
Wow! Great episode. I really appreciate you taking time to explain why you DON'T pick up a piece as well as why you do. I learn so much from your channel.
Oh no, the first store had those familiar white shelves with nothing ever good on them. The second store was my cup of tea part thrift and the antiques we want. The prices are great, and wow all that brass! And you found a Royal Haegar Kitty at thrift store #3 Then you found a Blanco Owl ,. What a day Laura had!!
Amazing haul. Great video, you always pick up great stuff. Have a blessed day. I love the cat candle holder. I've always liked that color of green and I love cats. 🙏😊❤😊🙏
Laura you are the best at thrifting treasures. You have an eye for items which are truly beautiful. Thank you for sharing these beautiful items with us.❤️❤️✌️
OMG that's not a wolf on that plate - it's a Borzoi! Also described as a Russian Wolfhound. Stunning dogs (I have one). i may need to buy that from your shop!
Great Video!! I love when you go over each item while you are shopping with why you pick up or leave behind!!!! I also do not mind that it is a voice over at all. Thanks for taking us along on your thrifting and that 2nd store is a gold mine for sure...
Oh my gosh!!! Tammy’s Treasures had some awesome stuff at great prices. I loooved that green kitty, the tree of life with the critters, and that lamp is gorgeous and for only $15, what a steal!
I am hunting for any of the animal haeger. I got several planters at garage sales in the last week most i paid for one was 4 bucks an i gave it to my friend to have she is a breast cancer survivor. The planter had pink an light grey.
I love art deco tropical or British colonial....like India hicks style. I have thrifted a cane mirror, natural frames, wooden camel (vintage from my childhood), palm leaves & peacock feathers... Glorious.... Colours like black, green, cream & dark woods.

Having just discovered you, I am commenting on an older video, but the brutalist ballerina sculpture appears to be a copy of a work by Alberto Giacometti. I have the other one you pictured, purchased more than ten years ago from my local Salvation Army. I would have loved to have seen you go through the stack of plates at 11:22, as I am convinced they are Mashiko pottery. We lived in Japan in the late 60's and my mother made a pilgrimage to Mashiko and came back with sets of lunch and dinner plates -- each one is different, and each is a work of art. I have found three in thrift stores here, and they are instantly recognizable. I think you have amazing taste, and I am learning a lot from you, so thought I would share.
Hi Laura, was just about to squeeze lemons when your video popped up...When life gives you lemons,Laura gives you lemonade lol. Love your finds. Favs are the Hager kitty, looks fab on your shelf. Also love the lamp. Looking forward to Part 2. Good luck with your sale 💜👍🏻🙋🏼♀️🍋
Laura I just love watching everything you do ❤ I’m in the uk and we don’t really have goodwill stores but we do have antique shops and you have set me off again
I have discovered you yesterday and I must say you are a pure delight to watch, you take me out of my comfort as my go to for business is Farmhouse, my cabin is Boho . I can’t say enough about you and your presentation of how you display the beauty in everything.. Can’t get enough…….. please keep presenting us with what you do.. .
I've been thrifting and antique collecting my entire life and have been wanting to get into reselling a lot lately but I don't know how to. I live in Longview and I love how good our thrift stores are here. They're hidden gems. Our Goodwill is pretty bad but you can find some good stuff occasionally.
You’ve got great thrift stores! I say go for it! Starting out on eBay or Etsy is the easiest way to get the ball rolling online and a local vintage shop is also a good starting place. 😄
Oh my gosh! Now you're in Longview! Love those stores. I have found some great stuff at that Goodwill. It's a feast or famine kind of place. Tammy's just recently got bigger, so that's pretty exciting! After shoppng those places myself, I love seeing what YOU found there. Love that cat and the chalkware birds! :) Can't wait for part 2!
I love watching your channel. I get so excited when I find amazing things for free or cheap. Our town is doing unlimited pickup this week and we've had solid rain so many things get ruined. I have seen mid-century everything, unopened 300.00 champagne, designer purses, you name it. People will not take the time for a garage sale for a small amount of items. You'll also see scrapers that pick up all metals to scrap for money. Police pull over pickups all the time that are loaded 15 feet or more above the top of the pickup bed and hanging over by 3-4feet all around. I don't know how they do it. Its sad to see amazing items crushed, but great if you find it to keep. Thanks for the content.
Love the purse & that brutalist ballerina old or not! But the Hager kitty is everything! So many cool finds. I think this one may be my favorite shopping trip to date.
The sunflower bowl in the beginning was Federal, not Pyrex (theres a big 'F' on the bottom). And that plate - if thats Gary Ubben you did really good!!
I look forward to see the things you pick up. I used to live in Portland but moved back home to Norway. After I startes to follow you I have gotten really homesick for Oregon. Bless you😊❤️

Right? I keep thinking that some of these very popular RUclips thrifters, such as Laura, should auction off a shopping trip with them for a charity fundraiser. Wouldn't that be a fun way to raise money for a good cause? I know I'd bid!!

Boat Oar Locks I recently sold a pair I found at Goodwill..
