"Buck is a badass." Yes sir, i think we all agree he is indeed, a badass! Interesting to see using greyhounds for their intended purposes, hunting. Great content!
I've always suspected that greyhounds had more value to the world than chasing a fake rabbit on a closed course. Now I've got a new rabbit hole to check out. They look so happy getting to run all out and catch a real target.
do u cross them ? in ireland we use collie / greyhound / pitbull / deerhound / wheaten terrier not all together lol but usually collie / grey / bull is a great cross or the grey/ deerhound / wheaten is a great cross
Great video! Those rural coyotes act much different then those that live around and in metro areas -- they are used to dealing with "city dogs" who are completely clueless and often the coyotes will run even bigger dogs off. The dogs in this video don't seem to have any concerns about getting in the coyote's face.
As a Florida hog hunter. I enjoyed this. I'm a old man and learned something. Amazing pack of dogs you have. Enjoy your freedom as a American. Keep posting!!
Hello from Oklahoma! Good Video first off! This is what these dogs were used for way before they were bred as track dogs. Some have wolf hound, saluki, and other stuff mixed into the dog. They are site dogs and very good at what they do. I do enjoy watching them work. Thanks for the video! God Bless!
Nice , I bet they stay in holds better than these ones here . These ones seem to pick up coyotes good but let go when they turn around and bite back . Need some dispatching power added.
Wow, just wow! What a rabbit hole to fall down, never knew this existed. Immediately my first thought was, these are the happiest greyhounds in existence, doing exactly what every instinct bred into them is telling them to do. Second thought was, vet bills must be insane, everything they have to be vaccinated against as yotes are scavengers plus bite wounds plus paw injury running through cut stalks. Thanks for making this, can see this, coupled with trackers to find dens, as complete eradication in an area. It won't stop migration back into an area, but unlike trapping, poison and hunting, will get all of them.
Greetings from n.w. alabama. I just found your channel. This is the most amazing way of hunting i have ever seen. Thank you for sharing. I am blown away at how fast your dogs are. Wow!!
i am an old jack rabbit courser. Our greyhounds were smaller and less able to tackle dangerous animals like yours. What happens if a different animal (bobcat or fox) jumps up ?? Or a jack rabbit? The drone is the only way to really see the drama play out.!! Great content!!!
You’re videos are fantastic. I love the background music and I didn’t know that greyhounds had the balls to take on a coyote one on one like they do. Fantastic and I love what you guys do and it’s very entertaining.. thanks to guys like you. The greyhound freed will continue after the demise of Greyhound racing.
Just curious, do you let the dogs finish them off or do you end up shooting the coyotes? We have coyotes near where I live and I know how much damage they can do to peoples pets and farm animals.
Love hunting with the hounds. We have hounds at my grand mother village. Her younger brother had over 25 dogs. Whenever we went there on our vacations we would get the hounds and walk around in the fields looking for rabbits. It was so much fun, we kids would be very happy if we got a rabbit, if one would get away we would fight and blame each other. Sadly my grand uncle and 3 of his sons passed away with time but we still have our hounds and other dogs. We now even have dogs race in the memory of my grand uncle.
Is coyote hunting innate with the greyhounds or do you have to train them? What precautions do you take to protect them (rabies vac., collar, etc.)? Thanks for sharing. I need yall to come to my town.
Awesome dogs! Just an FYI, if you are in the USA---I wouldn't show on camera that you are using VHF marine radios on land. The FCC will get you for it.
At the beginning of the video, you said that you were heading to the "flatlands". I'm just curious, where do you mean (roughly)? I have watched your videos before. But forget where you are located.
@@mrdynamic7887 we use bullxstags on coyotes but the best stags don't need the bull blood. Some call these dogs greyhounds, some call them stags, some call them coyote hounds. Most are a cross of greyhound and deerhound/wolfhound.

Nice work. Where do you guys get your greyhounds? There are a few organisations that find homes for retired racing greyhounds. Maybe they’d let you have some. That’d be a great new home for them.
Make sure to like, subscribe and hit the bell so you don't miss another video!!!
I never thought of a greyhound for this. its extremely entertaining.

Addicted to your videos. You must have some kind of quick release gate for your dogs. Anyway, love this! Don’t care for coyotes

I cross dachshund, basset and a havanese.
Breed was originally developed as a sight hunting
dog. The racing came much
later

Yes. Greyhounds were bred for this purpose. From all the way back when there were big cats on the plains.
Grey Hound Dog
we use pitbull x grey hound here in the uk

Won't be seeing any bobcats in the cornfields of Iowa! LOL The drone camera is a great idea!
Been nice to actually see up close footage instead of inside of truck!
How would you suppose they get it? Get out and run too?
Drone
You would probably get in trouble if you showed much up close.

Are these pure greyhounds or are they mixed with another breed ? they look a bit bulkier than the greyhounds you see at the race track
Awesome action! Subbed.
Best hounding footage ive come across, great job fellas!
Glad you enjoyed it
An added plus…. Gives the greyhound’s who
Aren’t fast enough to race have some fun, and we’ll never run out of coyotes!!!
Yup we don’t use hot bloods aka race dogs for coyote hunting cause they don’t fight as good
Can we get an up close view? Or aftermath?
