  • During a municipal indigenous speech contest in Southern Taiwan, we interviewed a student from the Atayal tribe who agreed to share a little of her native language. Taiwan has 16 indigenous Austronesian languages that are actually taught in public schools to indigenous students, and they hold language contests to reward and motivate students.

The tribal languages of Taiwan are very distinct from each other. It’s amazing how a small island can have so many distinct languages with similarities among other SE Asian and Polynesian languages. This strengthens the theory of Taiwan being the root of all Austronesian languages.

And i'm only talking about javanese here, consider the fact that there are hundreds maybe thousands of austronesian tribes in indonesia. @Jacky Phantom lol the Taiwanese tribes are one of the purest next to Nias tribes of Indonesia they're homogeneous.
Checked their DNA, Taiwanese aborigines are 90% haplo O1a, Nias are 95-100% O1a (austronesians) Austronesians has haplo O3 (han) because they stayed in China (Lianzhu culture) 5000 years ago before they migated to Taiawan and south east asia and pacific. Probably they're already admixture since pre historic era..
Even Chinese people are 10-15% austronesians...
ur too impulsive, I think you're the one must clear ur statements before barking, u must do some research first lolol.

Phonetically spelled for the American ear, what she said was "Cue-gone." For non-American viewers, "Ciwgan" is really confusing. Also, she said "maghan" (with an "n" sound at the end) and not "maghal." I'm curious to know if she, being a child, mispronounced the word?

Fact still remains that Austronesians are not as capable as the Sinitic people. Hence, they will eventually be replaced and bred out in a few generations. It is already happening in Taiwan.
