With ctrl+t you can save some steps inside of the shader editor. You just select background, ctrl + t and automatically sets up the texture coordinates, mapping and adds the image texture node. Do you have a workflow where you can import the file with groups or layers? Now it comes with all the components exploded and it's a mess if you have many objects.
Thanks will be using that whenever on blender. My workflow is mostly on twinmotion but on blender the skecthup models are grouped and I make sure to name and categorize the models in collections so when I update the models I delete and reimport the updates
Great video! Thanks for showing your workflow. I have a question, suppose I worked hours with the model in Blender, but the client requested some change from the Sketcup model, how do I re-import it without having to do it all over again?
Thank you, blender does not have live sync or updating method for sketchup. The best way to work around it is to group elements in sketchup and exporting updates individually. That way when you import in blender only the updates are imported then you can delete the outdated elements in blender. Its also good to name elements in blender to manage it it properly.
You will need an addon that allows importing sketchup to blender here is one github.com/RedHaloStudio/Sketchup_Importer/releases depending on which version of blender you use you can search for blender addons, another option is to export the sketchup in fbx, obj of collada formats all which work well
When you edit in sketchup edit in groups and when placing in blender organize in group as well since blender can only replace sketchup models meaning export only the edited parts in sketchup while removing the old ones in blender.
Thanks here (github.com/RedHaloStudio/Sketchup_Importer/releases) the importer may not work depending on which version of blender you have but there are plenty online if you search
Yo bro i tried to do the same, i have a model from SketchUp and when importing in blender it gives me the error like this bpy_struct: item.attr = val:enum "cycles" not found in (' blender_eevee', 'blender_workbench') can you help me fix?
One issue might be the addon being incompatible with the version of blender you are using such as the adon being an earlier version and the blender being latest one thing to do is find a plugin that matches your blender the addons are free and online. One other issue i might assume is the version of sketchup that its being saved as iyou could try saving it as sketchup version 5 in the save options that might work.

SKP is not available for me on my Import options. How do I get this to show up?

Why using reflection cubemap and irradiance volume in Cycles.
I was going to render it in evee at first then I changed my mind and went back to cycles I just wanted to see the difference in the light
If i edit the skp file after importing it on blender how to refresh the imported model to apply the changes ?

Amazing Work 😍❤

do you use glass for windows? if yes what shader nodes are they?
This didn't have glass but You can use the glass shader set the ior to 1.33 and reduce the roughness

I used the mouse to select the shader at the top right corner my mouse pointer was hidden so it did not show the movement
