    Hello!
    I LOVE your work. I’m having a great time following along and seeing if I can recreate it. Could you please share the objects you used in the project? It would be a huge help. Thanks a lot!

    Hello! I want to ask something strange to hear. Why people do architecture in 3D? And what is your ultimate goal of archviz?

    • @coral_lab
      @coral_lab  2 месяца назад +2

      That's a fair question! I would say the main reason is that it allows us to see how the project will look before investing large amounts of money and time. Floor plans and elevations are not enough to truly visualize the project. Architects, interior designers, and constructors want to check their projects, and real estate agents need images to convince property buyers and investors. At least this has been my experience after working 15 years in the architecture visualization industry. Thank you!

    may I ask why you chose render in the viewport on the CPU? if the GPU is faster

    • @coral_lab
      @coral_lab  3 дня назад

      Hi! I think I just chose CPU over GPU in this scene with the heavy fabric displacement texture just because it is more stable on my rig (Ryzen 5950 and RTX 3060 Ti). Thank you!

    Hey man, which asset library do you use ?
    for textures and models ...

    • @coral_lab
      @coral_lab  Месяц назад +1

      I use a lot of them, like polyhaven.com and ambientcg.com for textures, and 3dsky for models. Sometimes, you just need to search for the name of the furniture you want, and often the official manufacturer will have the 3D models available.

    wow I'm currently learning archvis and 15 years xp is impressive. Do you have a page where you can review my renders based on your tutorials?

      Hi, thanks for watching my tutorials! I'm currently offering a subscription on Patreon where you can send your renderings for a brief review. I plan to extend this to proper one-on-one online meetings in the near future, so stay tuned! Thank you.

    Can I give you a tip about the texture scale to real world size?
    You can use the cube projection value 1.0 for UVs (also a simple option) and in the texture at the scale input you use the Math node divide 100/300 (100cm/300cm, in the case of this texture that is 3m x 3m). I love your videos, LIKE ❤

      Hey! I just tried that, it's great for simple geometries like the floor. Thank you!

      Thank you for subscribing! Regarding your question, yes, you can work with precise scaling in Blender just like in AutoCAD.

      Yes, I do!
      For furniture: 3dsky.org and 3dwarehouse.sketchup.com
      For textures: quixel.com, polyhaven.com, and ambientcg.com

      @@coral_lab hi, thank you for sharing your knowledge. I love your minimal approach so much. Regarding these sites for downloading the models...I see there are no Blender native files there ready for Cycles render, but I see you import some models with all the textures set up. Do you replug the textures manually or?...whats your technique?

      @@ajicamlad Hi, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the video, thank you! Regarding your question: I forgot to clarify that I always rework the textures of the furniture I download (I don't usually use the provided textures, but instead use other textures from the sites I also mentioned). In the video, you can see me importing them with textures because they were already created by me for other projects inside Blender. Not only that, but most of the time the models come in 3ds Max format, so you will need to open them in 3ds Max (I'm a long-time user) and export them as fbx. Many times, you will also need to re-mesh, both automatically and manually. Despite this, those sites are great due to the quantity and good quality design of the available furniture. If you are familiar with design houses, you can also sign up on their websites and download their 3D models. Usually, I know the brand or model names of the furniture I want to use for my interiors, so I can specifically search for them. Thanks!

      @@coral_labhello l. I have a problem with transferring and using 3ds max models in blender, and i tried to find a good tutorial but i didn't. Can you refer me to a good video that explains it if it exists?
      Thank you
