Out of all the dragonflies I've looked into making this by FAR is the best!!! Very well done and great tutorial! LOVE the body, legs, antenna and head...going to do one as soon as I get the right size wire! Thanks for the video, you did a great job!!
Man, your video is great! Why did you stop making them? I think you should continue to grow your channel by doing more tutorials. I watched your first video today, from a friend that indicated it. This dragonfly is awesome and I hope we get more cool videos of yours for this boring quarantine. They are great!
is been a difficult 2 years for me very busy and taking care of family but im slowly getting back on track on creating new stuff and im eager to share more videos stay tuned
Thank you! That was my first ever attempt at copper wire artwork and I'm 62 years old. It actually went very well and I'm no artist. Keep the videos coming.
Oh please don't stop making and showing us your projects. I personally love dragon flys and I love working with wire! I did find my self trying to bring your image into the center for a while. But I know you'll perfect that. So I guess I missed that part that was not on the eye of the camara. Love all the colors. You've given me inspiration to creat!!!! Thank you!
Thanks! Just what I needed as I was asked to make some for a display. Your video is very easy to watch with just the right pace. I have combined the wire structure with the addition of beads and voile to make really eye-catching delicate dragonflies. Thank you again.
Just found your tutorial after looking at a LOT of images, etc. and it’s wonderfully done (particularly for a first attempt) … only suggestion I’d make would be to talk about wire gauge / size… headed off to the craft room to give this a try … thanks for taking the time to put these great tutorials together
I know this video is 5 years old, but I just found it today and actually made my first dragonfly!! Your tutorial was so easy to follow!! Thanks for sharing!
I have found a recent joy in wire crafts and found your videos. You have wonderful, clear instruction to try and like you say, practice! Thank-you, Luis!
Thanks so much I just made my dragonfly and it turned out okay. If I can add a word of warning to anyone else who tries it: Get high ductility (softness) wire or otherwise it will be very hard to sculpt it and you will hurt your hands a bit too. Thank you for taking the time to make the video!!
Luis, you’ve done a good job on this tutorial. I researched the dragonfly and discovered that they have 6 legs and the antennas are very very small. Learn something new every day. Thanks. Coleen
Luis that's really cool! Maybe you can put in the material, gauge, tools needed, how much wire will be needed in the subject box. That would make it easier for people. Can wait to try this one out! Thank you
Thank You so much! I made my first dragonfly!! Not as good as yours but not bad. I really appreciate you taking the time to share this skill! ❤️Jalyne in Utah
I used a very thin wire and followed your steps in the video and it doesn't look that bad! Thanks to you, I can turn my project in in art class and get a good grade! 10/10! 😄
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I'm doing this exact type of thing as part of an assignment and I've been so lost on how to approach it before finding this recommended to me. These are beautiful dragonflies you've done.
Thanks for sharing your talent for making dragonflies. It was well done and easy to follow, I will be making some soon. Would like to make a comment to correct a mistake most people make, Dragonflies do not have antenna
Suggestions, for more wing security perhaps using an x loop like you would use to make gods eye craft. Also I'm betting that if wings got dipped in wood glue then dried and painted with nail polish you could make a stained glass iridescent look like real droop fly wings. I'll test these theories out. Ty for inspiration.
Great tutorial Luis, thank you for teaching me how to make your dragonflies! My first one turned out pretty good and I'm looking forward to practicing and making more.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful technique for wire sculpting. I have been making butterflies with wire, and just created my first dragonfly. Your video was very helpful, clear and fun to watch! Can't believe it's your first. Great job!
Thank you very much that's fabulous. I am going to give it a try as I want them on sticks coming out of my fish pond to deter the birds, so they can't swoop on the fish. Thanks again. Loved it.
Thanks for a great video ... your instructions were very clear .. My first dragonfly did not look like yours - BUT - I got much better with the second .. Great Youube .. Video
just by watching this video, you made this look so simple.... i now know how to make a dragon fly... and i havent even made one yet, i will make one later on to let you know how it comes out.... im not home right now, but i have to steps embedded in my mind already... THANKS for the tutorial +luis lopez
