Did you ever get an update from the person who is upgrading their power supply? I got a ks2 with paid overclocks only able to get about 2.43avg. The 2.75 overclocks dont seem to work. Also got a KS1 and can only get 1.3th max with paid overclocks. 1.65th overclock also doesnt seem to work at all. Tswift overclocks
I haven't heard back from the guy that bought his replacement power supply from Amazon I think it was. I thought he was on here somewhere with his comments? Did you try the free overclocks on your KS2 before the paid versions? Is your KS2 Nov batch? My KS1 is still around 1.58 to 1.6 with the paid overclocks.
@miningwithunclechuck i did try the free ones on my ks2. The 40 percent didnt work at all. The 25 percent was maybe good for 10 percent. My ks1 i went straight to the paid overclocks and i seem stuck at 1.3th which is quite unfortunate. Hoping theirs an update or solution eventually. Pulling all that extra power and not reaching the full potential hash isnt ideal.
FAKE!!! tested and not working... its just old ks2 overclocks, not for novembar!!!
Not sure what you're talking about? Fake what? These are the free posted overclocks from GitHub nothing more? They work for some people with Nov batch and some they don't work. Did you read the many comments before you posted a response?
25% overclock 2.21TH 1550watts. 40% does not work. my friend ordered a NOV ks2 just as i did he gets 2.65TH.Silicon Lottery. . .I reverted back to original over clocks 2.18TH 1100watts pulling 91 amps on the dc side.
Any info on the power draw difference from stock to overclock
I was just under 1200 watts with the factory firmware and sitting at 1570 watts with the max free overclocks. I have a second KS2 now but don't have it connected to one of my outlets with a drok meter but will let you know pretty quick as I just got that one setup.
@@miningwithunclechuck Appreciate the feedback. Sound to be slightly more efficient with overclocks then.
Hey, subscribed. Thanks for the video tutorial and i plan to follow your future videos as I am thinking about buying a miner. Ive heard that the ks2 has a big drop on earnings after half a day. Is this true or is it some sort of bug? Anyway, ill be looking forward for more videos
I haven't heard about any possible bugs personally with anybody I know that has a KS2. Build quality issues with some Nov batches KS2s though.
@miningwithunclechuck interesting. Thank you for the reply and insight I'll be following your channel since you know what you're doing lol cheers
Well.. I've managed to figure a few things out along the way in my mining journey, with more then a few mistakes along the way lol.. but thank! @@Ahufi98
Does the firmware save the fan speed and ip after restart?
Re flashing with the free overclocks will keep your prior pool information yes.
Chuck, hope you’re well bro.
This is a bit off topic but I really need your help.
I have a KS2 that was working perfectly for almost 3 months. It’s been about a month now that it suddenly stops hashing. The machine keeps running but stops hashing.
My Humpool shows it as offline.
With every reboot it works perfectly again and then suddenly stops hashing again after a few hours.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thank you
Are you running any of the overclocks? Or factory firmware? If running any of the overclocks free or paid restore your miner back to factory and re flash with Ice River latest firmware. If... you still have the same problem it could be a number of things then I would contact IR. We can always look at your miner logs first.
@@miningwithunclechuck thank you for such a quick reply.
This issue started happening before installing the iceriver firmware update. I thought the update would resolve the issue but it still continues.
I’ve tried but don’t know how to view the logs.
Ok so the miner keeps running but no hashing.. ok do you have problems after it stops hashing logging into the dashboard of the miner? Do your hashboards disappear in the dashboard after it stops hashing or can you still see them?@@cgeorgaklis
@@miningwithunclechuck the miner is reachable after it has stopped hashing and I can log into the dashboard.
I’m not sure I understand what you mean concerning the hashboards on the dashboard. I can send you a screenshot of the dashboard when it is not hashing.
Send me a message through my email in the desciption below the video and I'll do my best to help you.@@cgeorgaklis

What pool?
Kaspa pool, I don’t know why my comments dosen’t apear. Third time posting
@@demoqeI would give Humpool a try.
@@miningwithunclechuck humpool 345ms stratum , kaspapool 42ms, 70 f2pool, humpool has the bigest lag for me… I wonder if TSwift firmware pushe it to 2,7 or if mine is just low… on the old firm it got 1,9 avrage
D9 vs L7 which is best to buy today please help
I responded to you on this topic in the other video you asked this question.
Any issues yet?
Pretty good so far between 2.63th to 2.69th range consistently in the first week of mining with the free overclocks. I feel lucky for sure.... as some as you know haven't got the same luck with the Nov batch KS2s. Another guy in the comments here is swapping out his KS2 power supply with a larger one and I think that is going to do the trick to rectifying some hashing issues with the 40 up free overclocks, as I personally think Ice River may have used some power supplies in the Nov batch that were low spec?? Just guessing but we will see when he swaps his out this week.
Awesome thanks. Going to give it a go. Wasn't sure if that was a real issue or not so people would just buy the overclocks and not mess with the free ones.
Good luck! let me know how you make out and what kind of hashrate you're getting after you flash with the free overclocks?@@shiggadop
Not so good so far. Showing 1150 on the GUI and 1300 on my pool.
Anymore news? What I would try as one last thing is factory restore your KS2 from the dashboard of your miner and then re flash it with the current firmware from Ice Rivers website under support, then tutorials which you will see a firmware tab at the bottom, then lastly re flash the free overclocks. You will probably be in the exact same position hashrate wise as you are now but...something I would try for the heck of it.@@shiggadop
Hei! Just got ks2, updated the free 25% and it works, in pool to but… the hashbords ain’t vanished and got 2 little red light in in the actual miner back of the fans, at the bottom lighting up? Any of this happened to you?
Did you make sure your KS2 had the latest firmware from Ice Rivers website before applying the overclocks? So to be clear your up and mining but you have the two red lights on the miner flashing?
@@miningwithunclechuck dind’t update latest, I have to red lights very dimmed inside the miner, you can see the in the back of the buttom fan.. I asume it’s of the hashbords. Got the 40% firm instaled. Lights still there but hashbords now show up
@@miningwithunclechuck temps 14 / 25 on all, in the pool I range 2.4-2.9th waithing for 24 round up. From what I saw from other yt’ers if it’s not passing 2.1 its november batch. Mine seem to be a hybrid :))
@@demoqedon't worry about the lights inside I thought you meant the ones on the back near the ethernet.
@@demoqeyour KS2 is like mine in the video no problem with the free overclocks and its a November batch. Let me know what your hashrate is after it's been up and running a day. Happy hashing!
