  • After my friend Marc Hoffman ‪@MarcFPV‬ let me fly his T1 in the summer I immediatly added this plane to my wishlist.
    After spending time touring Spain and cycling to beautiful places on my e-mountain bike I realised that the Ranger would be a perfect backpack plane, being small light, easy to disassemble and most importantly much quieter than my AR Pro's.
    So I ordered the PNP Pro version just before Christmas and with much help from Simon Berg ‪@FpvBerget‬ I got it built and here is my maiden flight.

    Hey. Hope your all good and done some flying. Weather should be ok this week. Hopefully me and my mates get out for a fly thursday late afternoon/evening. Managed to get 211mph out my alpha strike. I now have the same motor on a strix goblin I have. Hopefully I can get that on the top speed leader board on the readymaderc page. Also ordered a new atomrc dolphin that should come this week hopefully 🤞🏻

      211 mph wow thats really awesome speed, mind you that plane does look like it was designed to go fast! I have been mainly flying LOS recently, although not much of that until the last month or so as the weather has been really terrible in my part of the UK.
      I am toying with the idea of adding inav and FPV to an edf jet and also hope to get some flights with the T1 this weekend when I take a trip in the camper to North Wales with my son.

      @@bluefish3607 yeh flying around wales would be good. I’ve not really done any flying the last couple of weeks really. Still waiting on my atomrc dolphin frame to be delivered. Another new model 🙈😂 2300kv cobra motor to fit, so should go not to bad. Dolphins are not speed wings, but should be a fair bit quicker then the standard. And yeh, the alpha stike is kinda like a dart in the wind

    Nice little plane. Thanks for the tour in the van, very practical vehicle. I am wiring up my plane but not sure about about wiring of MATEK F411 to GPS, Air Unit, and radio receiver. There are only 2 UART to be used on F411. Are you using the Softserial for the GPS?

    Also liking the camper 👌🏻 still not tried my goblin on 6s yet. Weather has been crap and cold. Only flown once the other day in weeks. The atomrc swordfish. Another good plane and I fly that on a 5s1p p42 pack. I solder all my packs. A lot stronger then spot welding. Solders fine and quick with a good iron. My spot welder didn’t do to good. Ur t1 flys well 👊🏻👌🏻 think I’ve had about 100mph out mine. With the wind behind and a dive

      Cheers the camper has really been fantastic so far, and I live on the Lincolnshire coast near grimsby and the weather has been dreadful, this was the best day for absolutely ages.The Swordfish I really like the look of and now I have my first tractor twin I may put that on my wishlist. I can't wait to get out in some decent weather and really get to grips with setting up the T1 but that said it flew amazingly on stock settings. My spot welder seems to work really well, I was unable to pull off a test weld even with pliers, thats probably good as I am not the best with a soldering iron.

      @ttucker2073 5 месяцев назад

      @@bluefish3607 yes mate, sounds like your spot welding is a lot better then mine 😂 the swordfish is so easy to launch like the t1 and flys fast and great. The twin tractors are good. The weather here in Bedfordshire has also not been good. Like I said, only 1 fly couple days ago in weeks. Probably a couple of months or more maybe. I managed to buy a load of barley used p42 batteries for about £1.75 each on eBay luckily. So made a few packs. I would love a camper but could never afford 1 at the minute with 4 kids.

    I’m so tempted to get the T2, but it is just too much money. If it wasn’t so proprietary I would think it’s worth the money, but I don’t want it grounded because it needs some special part that isn’t available anymore.

      @bluefish3607 Spot on Glenn. I know the feeling well having recently moved house, I haven't had much time to "tinker or fly" at all given the lengthy list of house projects I too have been given by the long haired colonel. Moved not too far from The New Forest into Shaftesbury, Dorset. (remember the Hovis advert?). By the time you get on your travels again, I will have sussed out some great flying by then, some fantastic countryside here too. Thanks for the link👍

    Love this video, I bought a pnp version too, it flies superbly, been using a 1500 3s, but made an Li-ion pack in 2022 from Molicel P45A's.
    Do you think they'll be ok?
    Video is a Caddx Nebula Vista Pro, it's great, would like to run an FC, I have one already which works great, and an OSD in my DJI V2 goggles, but it doesn't arm the O3.
    I'll use the O3 in something else.
    Anyway interested to know if you think these cells will be OK?
    As for flying I concur, it's nippy, efficient, flies wonderfully and quiet.
    Best FPV model I have in flying terms.

    • @bluefish3607
      @bluefish3607  2 месяца назад

      Hi sorry for the late reply I have been away in Spain. I use the same Molicel P45’s in my packs and they are great in the T1.
      I assume you connected the O3 to an FC UART and set it up in jnav ports it needs this to work. I believe there is also a setting in the DJI goggles menu to disable the need to arm to get full power on the O3.
      Enjoy your T1 is really in an outstanding FOV plane imo.

    Lucky you: you look young for someone who's already on pension. I've got to wait until 68 :(
    Did you visit south east Spain too? The one photo looks similar to the area where I live. I like MTB cycling too and I fly my T1 there in the mountains although I rarely upload videos to RUclips. The advantage in the dryer parts of Spain is that one can cycle (and fly) almost every day.
    What for battery or batteries do you use to power your spot welder?

    • @bluefish3607
      @bluefish3607  5 месяцев назад

      I don't get my state pension for another 8 years, but I was fortunate to be able to retire earlier. I drove from Santander, stopped in the hills just north of Madrid for a couple of days and then down to the Alicante area and then up into the Pyrenees, up through France, Belgium and to the ferry port in Rotterdam, stopping in various places along the way as i felt like. The lake photo is near Toremendo and the other hilltop is close to Hurchillo. I agree the cycling and flying down there is fantastic warm days light winds almost every day for the 3 weeks I was there. The spot welder has its own internal batter I assume a Lipo and its 600mah apparently.
