THANK YOU FOR THIS REVIEW omg, I was debating weather to buy the tablet or not because of the mixed reviews and lack of information about how the tablet works I could find, now that I know it's very compatible with my PC and I can use it for two different screens to animate on, I'm Definitely adding it to my cart, by the way lovely drawing today of your boy! Hes the reason I got into fall out in the first place I love your art, it inspires me greatly and has influenced my coloring/ shading style completely 💕 have a good day galoo!
Glad you found it useful! I saw posts from back in 2017 about ToonBoom Harmony not working properly on older models, but I'm pretty sure XPPen partnered with ToonBoom around 2020 and worked out whatever hiccups they had with compatibility since. (That being said, non-clean versions of Harmony will probably not work with this tablet and the remote.
@@GalooGameLady oh yeah DEFINITELY the perfect time to update, I have a Wacom art tablet that's a 2018 model [or 2016 it's pretty old], and it doesnt support alot of newer options especially in certain programs [toonboom included with krita] where I use my work set up with compatability so it chokes up on me and ends up messing up the pressure sensitivity to the pen nib or layers/ frames per second haha xP hopefully these hiccups are alot less with a newer tablet model!
I have a wacom, that i also bought in 2015, that is still working despite how i treat it (poorly) but it's awesome to see there's a new option that won't completely decimate my finances once i eventually will have to get around to replacing it. this was such a nice and thorough review and your honesty with how it worked for you and your space while being realistic was really refreshing (the wooden blocks; respect. i have a monitor stand that's just a bunch of 2x4's and planks nailed together) but the circle thing on windows. my goodness. you just saved me. i had NO idea it could be disabled, i just assumed it was something i was stuck with as someone who switched from mac to windows this year. thank you so much for just... dropping that wisdom halfway through. really appreciate it!!!
No worries, the real OG here is user Comprehensive5432 who answered this 4 year old question on redditt: www.reddit.com/r/XPpen/comments/egplc0/xp_pen_annoying_white_circle/ And I'm glad to see competitors rising as well. The more variety to choose from, the better!
I've always been a Huion user. I own a nearly decade old H950P and a Kamvas 13 that I got for my birthday a year ago. However seeing the constant rise of XPPen makes me want to expand my collection even more. Thank you so much for reviewing this product!!!
Just purchased one of these, currently waiting exitedly for it. Like most people, I think it would have been nice if it had a higher resolution acreen, but I'm still rocking an Artist 22E Pro and honestly I'll take an ok screen resolution if it means the colors are even remotely accurate and the screen paralax isnt a mile wide.
Thanks for the review! there are too few of them on YT for this model right now. My Artist Pro 16 (2nd) is getting a little funky because of the ghetto way i mounted it to an arm (or rather, how that mounting solution doesnt hold up to the stresses of the thing getting bumped). Im bummed that i cant use the X3 stylus from that with the 22 Plus that i have on the way to upgrade/replace that one. The eraser *can* be useful, but not in every program. in zbrush it automatically does the inverted version of the brush you are currently using when you use the eraser which is dope AF. In Krita since clicking a brush sets that brush as active you can click whatever eraser (or other brush!) you want and have that set as the eraser during that session which is nice.
I hate prices of Wacom and their problems with drivers. It was making me insane for years for now I have Xppen Star. it's not professional, but a nice tablet. Drawing is a little lagging behind the cursor, but it's ok
I got Artist 22R Pro and i can't deal with their pen sensitivity, like the screen or pen nibs touch feels like rubber-ish, so we can't affect on it somehow. I tried to change curve sensitivity and it not worked. I though to find felt nibs or protective film for it, but i can't believe it works much So uhh how that feeling affect on drawing process - pen wont drawing when i touch the screen very slightly, trying to make very thin line ( most often, I work with strokes and tryin to save the screen surface). To be honest - if this feature work awful or 50\50, that definitely can spoil my impression.. Also, in box was 2 pens, the both work the same bad :( Im new in Pen Display, but already spend too much money to find my favorite. I bought 3 pen display. 2 of them is used and 1 from official shop (XP-Pen)💀 Yeah, that my story
I have not had this sort of experience with the Artist 22 Plus but I have not tried XPPen's older models so I can't speak for those. But I'd like to believe that newer models are always going to be a little better than older ones. I would have no problem going back to my old Cintiq if the Artist 22 Plus didn't work out but so far I'm enjoying it.
I like how Buttons looks like a little kid with the giant plush.
Also cute doggo

With this montage, I have an endless association with those seen when someone is cutting soap in the corner, haha
So art it's perfect ❤
I wanted to show my speeddraw... but I also wanted to show footage of the tablet. But I also didn't want this to be a 30 minute video :')

This is great, but its not etched glass.. so changing screen protector on this beast is gonna be fun
Buttons is so cute!
Have you tried the new X3 pro slim pen with the 22 plus it’s the same chip in the pen that you have but slimmer
No, my husband is using the XP-Pen now and luckily he likes the regular chunky pen size. But I would consider if I used it again!

Omg are you the artist behind the Mixed Messages?
cute illustration
Great information thanks for sharing
psst whats your lazy nazumi set up :)
Thank you for the information, greetings from Brazil!😍🤩
Thats nice Virginia
I just ordered the XPPen Artist 22 Plus, however I paid 510 euro's WITH discount. I wonder why they upped the price
It's more expensive in their Europe store since launch, like 30% extra. Makes no sense.
1080p is just not enough for that screen size. I have a 15 inch graphics tablet with that resolution and it already looks too pixelated.
Suppulent!
You use your left hand????!! 😭😭
Yeah! But I still use the mouse with my right and when I played piano, I always enjoyed playing with my right hand more, weirdly enough.
I don't use a cursor on a display tablet.
