I LOVE the matchbook with what looks like a button-hole closure. I also LOVE those wobbly fabric-hinged pages. Just a few in a book makes a fashion statement (in a way). I'm really digging your stuff and your nice, short videos. Thank you!
Thank you so much. I also thought just a few in a book would look fab!! I am also a fan of short videos, so I like to make mine as to the point as possible. Thank you :)
Eclectically unique! Love how you are using your own designs with your own expanded ideas using some from others. Making it in your style. Awesome and fun. Tfs, vicki
Thank you so much. That's what its all about isn't it. We all inspire each other, and then put our own spin on things. Thank you for watching and commenting!!
Gorgeous Natasha Love the fabric joining papers together, I love textured wall paper, It's not very popular here in Canada, But I remember when I lived in Scotland mother picking out patterns . They do work great for covers.
This journal is absolutely beautiful! I love the the material used on the cover! Stunning! It is a lot of work. My book took a long time to make, but at the time it was like therapy for me. But yes, a LOT of work. lol Labour of love for sure. Thanks so much for the shout out and link my video. So sweet of you. And again, stunning album! I love it!
Denise! Hi!! You saw the video? That album you made just blew me away. I wanted to recreate, but I got a little disheartened as it was SO MUCH WORK!!! Plus you mentioned that you gessoed each and every page. Amazing. I totally understand when you say the process was like therapy for you. But as I see from your videos, you are an art journalist, you paint, draw, doodle etc, so you must have envisioned from the beginning on how you will use your journal. I on the other hand cannot draw, or paint, I don't understand colours and what goes with what. I think thats why I was disheartened if that makes sense. But then I decided to just incorporate standard tea dyed pages, and I was lit up again. Your journal is a true treasure! Thanks for the inspiration.
@@TreasureBooks Yes I watched the video last night! I really did love your journal. Yes it was a lot of work. But I was at a point where I wasn't feeling creative, to paint or art journal, to create really. I had just lost my mother in law and was just too overwhelmed to create. This journal, as long and tedious it was to create, really helped. That's why I put on the cover "beautiful soul", that's for my mother in law. You need to make things for you. How you would use them. So you doing what you did was perfect. You have to make it in a way that you will use it. Or make it for someone else! You did a wonderful job. And I still have to make those plastic envelopes that you did! I think about those all the time!!!
Interesting! Have never seen a journal like this. I love where it lays flat, great for journaling. Your papers are very cool. Going to have to see your party streamer video. Not sure what that’s all about, just looking forward to it! Thanks!
Lovely journal, as usual. I can see why you got bored with making those fabric-hinged pages. The way you have used only some of them in this journal, makes them look even more special!
Thank you so much. I was trying to recreate Denise Lush's book, and mine wasn't looking nearly as nice, so I got disheartened with all that work and sewing :)
