Not so...even Joe Exotic says 1 on 1 the lion will win. And he favors tigers. I worked at a Wildlife preserve. At feeding time the big cats all mixed together because it was like a Safari. The male lions ALWAYS ate first, and would seriously attack and injure the tigers if they tried to get at the food. The tigers waited with the female lions. We eventually had to build separate holding pens just to eat even though it was supposed to be a Safari style park because the male lions at dinner time were so aggressive and were clearly better fighters than the tigers.
