So main takeaways:
Level up DPS to 55 and then to 60.
Level up W-Engines to 50 and then ascend. Levelling up the engine to 60 is low priority as you only get base ATK increase.
Get core skill to E and then F further down the line.
Repeat for Stun.
For support, spend resources primarily on getting to 55 and unlocking E. The stat enhancements are super low priority as support value is primarily from the core skill.

the only support who core skill is not important in my opinion is lucy.
Her team buff is on her ex special skill level and her core passive actually just increases her little boars damage.

this is basically what i did when i reached to the point when i already ran out of resources. Planning carefully how to spread my resources and who to prioritize. Lastly, stamina management too.

The amount of materials and dennies needed to get 6 characters to at least 55 is mind boggling. The only way to bring them up is to farm HIA 100% with whatever stamina we have until the point where it becomes easier to attempt the new missions.
When I saw the dennies alone required for ascension past Lv50 for a single character, haven't even considered other upgrading materials, I just logged off... my mind was thinking, "GG... see you when I see you" Not gonna dive this hell grind.
You can already almost S rank the last critical shiyu defense depending on your disk drive luck with only 2 lvl50+ dps, 2 lvl45 stunners and 2 lvl35 supports. I don't think it's necessary to invest all 6 characters equally, unless you just want to.
@@PaiSenZra I'd say drive disks go the longest in terms of value and then you start leveling up your DPS when you're not finishing as quickly to get from B to A to S. My main strategy has been disc farming and now working on ascending my DPS and their W-Engines.
@@KumaOso16 I pretty much disc farmed from IK45-49 and got decent gear (maybe strong luck on crit pieces) then at IK50 spent all my ether battery to speedrun upgrade everything because of guaranteed pink mats. I actually got to upgrade now than going crazy with endless disc rng.
This is just typical of basically any gacha game early into its lifecycle. For comparison, I have been playing Honkai since release and I only buy the $5 monthly pass. You can max out two core teams in a few months, and you get to the point where you start just building more units for fun or variety. I think at this point, I have like 20 units which are all max everything and I have nothing to farm except relics (drive disk equivalent) and pre-farming for new units. Costs seem a bit steeper in HSR, but you also only need 6 characters in your two teams for shiyu defence as opposed to 8 in HSR.
How about upgrade bangboos to level 60? I saw it almost double the damage that the bangboo does but i think its too expensive
Just let that be the very last thing you do since investing in the Agents are way more important than sinking your dennies on the Boos.
i didnt find it expensive at all, the upgrade mats u get passively from the hollow zero. and dennies arent that hard to come by
I'm in farming stage for disc drives for my Zhu Yuan and out if 40-50 discs I only got one + for crit rate sub stat. She's around 50 crit rate and 80 crit dmg. Seems like every roll goes in to flat pen or something useless like that. So frustrating.
True, and the fact that 1 run for disc costs 60 battery is just 💀
Even hsr and genshin only cost 40 (condensed resin in gi)
Do stun charas also have daze multiplier penalty to higher lv enemies like dmg penalty for dps ?
I've been saving my ether batteries till i'm ik 50 and now here i am. Should I be using them for guaranteed upgrades to level up my characters faster or use them to farm for drive discs?
I would say prioritize leveling your characters first, if you have okay discs.
It seems strange to me to have to farm exp, but waiting to get it for free events I end up dying of old age, my 2 dps are at 55 and the others at 45.
It's basically the same for Genshin 1.0+ and HSR 1.0+ era. Once we're in 2.0, it'll be a thing of the past and Relics (disk drives) will be the main farming activity.

Hello EOD Gamer. i am at IK 47. my ellen lyacon skk and koleda piper lucy team are maxed in terms of talents and levels. i have the option to farm drive discs or raise my anton team. what would you recommend?
Probably pre farm for your Ellen lvl and W engine or farm polar/freedom for optimal disk drive efficiency
I'm able to clear Shiyu Defense S rank with my Ellen team and Zhu Yuan team with their teammates lvl 50 or lower so I decided to start building a third team instead of building the rest of their teams first. Hopefully I don't regret it, but I can clear everything at the moment, and building a third team is more entertaining

Getting to L50 is a grind, then you find out how much money and resources you're going to need to level up the characters. 😨
What about Anomaly? I prefer to using Grace and Piper and been saving my summons for Jane. Would unlocking level60 for them a good idea?
I would say Anomaly has same priority as Attack
Think you have to take that on a per-character basis but if it's a main dps anomaly unit like Piper or Jane then they should have the same priorities as attack units because they fill the same purpose, just using different means. If it's a more supportive/subdps one like Grace then you can probably get away with a bit less investment but at the very least you should still focus a lot on her actual stats and skills that improve anomaly buildup rate and damage because those are still just as important
Anomaly DMG scales off Lvl, so yes, you want to get at least 1 of them to 60

Same thing in Genshin and HSR, would've been surprised if it was anything else. Exponential cost increases per level is pretty common in games in general. But in general you don't need to max out a skill, it's usually better to find a good stopping point a bit before it until you're in the true endgame and have nothing better to do, and also you absolutely don't need to level up every skill on a character to begin with. Most characters have one or two skills that are barely relevant to their style of gameplay and is just a waste of resources going beyond the early levels of.

Disk drive farming is by far my least favorite part of endgame. I'm so glad I got crazy lucky on my Zhu Yuan disk farming and got her stats where I wanted them in 1.0.
If only my Ellen disk farming didn't keep giving me defense sub stats...

@@Franklin_Johanessan While maybe doable I think Jane and Piper will compete for too much field time to be practical together, I'd say Jane is more of a Piper replacement than a teammate. The phys units in general are pretty much all dps characters for now weirdly enough. Right now I also think Jane's best teams will be with the electro units (Seth/Grace/Rina in some combination), but if you have a bit of patience then Burnice should absolutely be her best teammate once she's out. Jane/Piper + Burnice + someone out of Lucy/Seth/Grace/Rina/Caesar will likely be the way the teams will be constructed
but grace is my main DPS...

The real question is why you're not using it
I still save some battery in lvl 50 for a backup plan for upcoming new character , if I'm missing some material from upgrading my new character, I can still farm it in that moment instantly without waiting another days. If you have no plan getting new character next banner, you don't need to save it.
