Yes usually we do see that! If it helps, you know that double or half double up to treble stitches, create a “column” - she is inserting the hook between those columns.

Thats beautiful !! I am going to make this I have never did any with 2 colors because it didnt work out but the way you show it I think I can you explain it so well . I take it from my swatch that I made, that this is not a drapey blanket? To get some drape to it, could I go up a hook size? I love this pattern & am going to make it in burgundy & white for a January baby girl as the birth stone is garnet.❤️

I also had to frog at row 3, and then use a larger hook for the first chain because it curled.

I really enjoy your videos. But just a heads up -- I've noticed quite a few pyramid-shaped motifs in your patterns over the last year or so. I'm sure your intentions are good, but as for those of the companies that sponsor and advise, not so much. Another shape would be preferable.
