Honda Ridgeline how to turn off the auto locking feature

- I think I added a step, opening the door isnt a requirement in these steps.
I might have been thinking about something else (lol)
But this may work on other Hondas if you want to try to turn off the auto locking feature.
This was done in a Honda Ridgeline
Shot with a sony nex-5 1080p all auto.
I had a few people ask me from another video I uploaded about how to use the remote key to roll all the windows down.

Worked on my '09. Shoulda looked this video up two years ago when I bought it. It's been driving me nuts!!!
Finally!! I read the manual and still couldn't get it right until I saw your video! and YES!! you need to open the door to do it! I was missing the emergency brake step! My wife thanks you as she has been drivin' completely nuts with the door always locked and having to wait for me to open it for her! No more psych bills! Thanks!!

How you turn back on to lock and unlock with the remote control?

Has anyone figured out how to disable the seat belt chime besides putting on the seat belt?
I did see that as one of the options to pick from and that is a good one, for me though I just was use to my other truck and wanted it to be the same... I like and dislike change lol
is it the same procedure to turn it on?
@caribeanman1011 Yeah but cool the truck has the sequence tricks instead of needing to go the dealership to be hooked up to a computer..... I guess a few switches or buttons hidden somewhere would be easier but its not bad, just hard to remember (lol)

I'll try this tomorrow. I sure hope it works since the auto lock has been annoying me and my passengers for 8 years. I have the RT, do you think it'll work on all Ridgeline trim levels? (Guess I'll find out tomorrow when I try this). Thanks!
Yeah it should work fine on all models of ridgeline. it is also in the manual which may help to have a reference while you are doing it. Good luck :-)
how do you put the lock feature on the same way???
I dont have it in front of me right now but it was listed in the manual how to set the options in a few ways. Check your manual and if you do not have one there is probably a pdf version online
wow, two comments, this video really messed you up didnt, sorry about that... Different things annoy different people I guess. as for the door the annoying part is when you park it only auto unlocks the drivers door so the passenger is always grabbing at the handle to find out they are locked in so yea it gets annoying.
Yes I find it annoying to unlock the truck every time I have a passenger with me.. Is that ok with you that I don't like it the way you like the locks set up?

Oh wait maybe it is that you need that extra feeling of safety and that is cool if you get scared with unlocked doors, I dont need that extra feeling of safety so I chose the way I set it up..... Look it up in the manual, It says "Manly Setting"
Maybe when my kids are older I'll do it

no, on my 07 if you put it in park or push the unlock button once it unlocks all doors in drive my doors lock after 14 km/h and ALL unlock in park.... if in drive you push unlock once and all unlock.... that is not annoying...... read your manual again.... because pushing 1 button is not annoying, just sayin'
all the doors unlock when you put it in park so i never have to unlock my doors

pushing 1 button is annoying? 1 single button..... when you put the truck in park it unlocks anyways...... boy the fucking world is sad sad sad..... pushing 1 fucking button is annoying...... wives are annoying, dogs barking all night or needing to go out for a piss at 3am is annoying...... who knew pushing 1 button which is located in the easiest fucking spot to get at is annoying ..............HOLY FUCK!!!!!!!!
