  • Welcome back to the channel, where this British man to try’s the popular Vietnam dish, Phở for the very first time. Will i like it, will it be similar to the other SE Asia foods i’ve tried?
Since I’ve been in Da Nang, Vietnam, Phở is the dish i been wanting to try, not knowing what to expect. With an open mind and an empty stomach, I dive in and savor every bite of this mouth-watering dish, from the fragrant broth to the tender noodles and succulent meats.
I also take a look around a new area of Danang and come across some other useful shops.
Join me on this exciting culinary journey and discover the deliciousness of Phở. Will it be a winner for me? Let’s find out.

I used to love the Airblade but then I stopped seeing them in Thailand so thought they weren't being made anymore. There's a huge Asian population where I live (Hawaii), so Pho is pretty easy to find. Not my all time favorite but good for a meal every now and then. Congrats on 11k subscribers!

Best Pho in Bangkok is at the bottom of Rambuttri St ( next to Kao San Rd). A street restaurant that only opens at night- loads of fresh bean sprouts and Thai basil - 80 baht.

Well done Wayne. I've tried that food here at a Vietnamese Restaurant in Sydney. Awesome grub which you can spice up to suit your own taste. It's pleasing to see the beach and surrounding areas well looked after and appealing to both the locals and the tourists. Great video mate 🤩

The fact that it needed some additional flavoring means they did not use MSG. So that was a healthy broth you had Wayne.

The msg being bad for you narrative is a myth. It’s just a tasty salt. If you eat mushrooms cheese tomatoes which have naturally occurring msg in them then it’s the same thing. Here to educate :)

Surprised that's your first bowl of Pho Wayne. Nice big bowl and for 1/10th the price here in America. Most Westerners don't appreciate it on the first go, like with Japanese Udon and Soba. There's a bit of technique to enjoying the combination of flavors and components in slurps and bits rather than chunks and bytes, and the Vietnamese typically finish the broth, and solid bits at the same time. I think next time if you go with a local you will enjoy it more.

    • @WalkAboutWayne

I've never tasted Pho Wayne . I did have an unopened jar of Pho beef paste in the fridge for 10 years because the labelling looked good until I persuaded myself to throw it away .
I'm guessing it's a bit trial & error to get the flavourings & right balance for personal taste

think you missed squeezing some lime in there probably thats why you think it could use more flavour. Could probably do with a few more vietnamese sentences as well wayne haha. and although beef is usually my protein of choice, i much prefer the pho with chicken broth, i find those tastier.
