Well, I'm just glad he is off the sugar rush he was always on in his youth. I thought sure one day he would seriously injure his sister or someone else on Tex Ritter's hayride show with that double necked gimmick. 😀😀😀
I have what is surely a dumb question. What's with the dual guitar? I've seen some guitar players use them but always the bottom part. I'm sure it's just that I always miss it but I've never seen anyone use the top portion
I’ve never seen him use the top neck of this guitar. Why does he use a double neck? Other than that, he’s pretty good but all pretty standard simplistic rockabilly.
Larry Collins was awesome, still, after so many decades! I love his attitude and energetic performances from 70 years ago! I can’t believe he’s still hot at that guitar as he is. Thank you Larry, and keep it Rockin! ❤️
I once missed out on a mosrite guitar by 15 minutes! I went to get the money after playing it and came back to it having been sold to a collector. Very entertaining man Mr Larry Collins!!
Not impressed at all. That is the most basic guitar playing there is, he didn't do anything but strum and make a lot of racket. I did that much after about 6 months of picking up a guitar, big deal.
Look, the playing had to be basic and simple. The main draw was his dancing and prancing while playing. So I'm just bummed he isn't dancing anymore and this is what's left.
Gotta remember Larry was doing this stuff in 54 before most others, he really is a pioneer of rock and roll!!!
Those shuffling feet in the old days & never missed a lick!
So cool. My dad was PeeWee Adams. He played drums in the film. I remember all the parties at our house.
How cool!!! You must have met many of the greats.
Cool scotland, must have been, great parties
This guy was a phenom virtually his while life.
Larry still plays a mean guitar!! Fabulous... A shame we don't hear of him in the Uk as much as we should..
A freaking legand.
Larry's still awesome 👌
Larry Collins and Junior Brown would have been a sight to see!
Larry with NRBQ would have been cool. I wonder if they ever played together.
Literally the first rockabilly progression every kid learns when they get their first electric guitar, lol.
it stinks
Brilliant. It is hard to believe that that shows a 60 year gap. Where do the years go?
WTF.....3 guitarist with double neck guitars? Crazy stuff!!!
Thought the same. Definitely a first for me, seeing 3 double necks in one performance.
Joe Maphis taught young Larry well, but NOBODY can replace Joe...RIP..
Love it ! great music 🎶
i just love this rockabilly music.larry collins legend.
A literally just discovered Larry 50’s videos a couple days ago. What a legend!! How did this guy go so unnoticed
Am I the only one disappointed that the drummer isn’t playing a double kick, and the Bass only has one neck?
Mosrite guitars! Excellent sound ! I love it.
Yeah, really collectible and valuable these days. Harley Benton Guitars makes decent, inexpensive “tribute” versions.
Saw Joe Maphis on his MOSRITE back In the 80s!
I want a Mosrite guitar some day.
Un verdadero pionero del Rockabilly,,,que tal ves no llego a tener la fama que se merece ,,,
I have yet to see a vid where he plays the top neck
I'm pretty sure I could play that big violin looks pretty easy compared to the rest of the instruments
Old is always gold
I really think so!
Well, I'm just glad he is off the sugar rush he was always on in his youth. I thought sure one day he would seriously injure his sister or someone else on Tex Ritter's hayride show with that double necked gimmick. 😀😀😀
The real deal🎼🎶🎶🎵🎵🎵🎶🎵🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Pre wipe out music so very very cooool
That is one cool cat! More hep than I can handle.
TV shows themes are dancing in my head!
It sounds like Link Wray The Ramen "Comanche"
What’s the name of that instrumental jam? It’s rocking good!! And how about that electric bass in the old footage? What make and model was that?
"Ramrod."
I found out that it was a Gibson EB-1 electric violin-shaped bass. Don’t see too many of those basses around.
Good job. Still playing..
At least he doesn’t shuffle about the stage anymore.
Don't even try out as a guitar player in this outfit if you don't bring a double neck! (bass is excused.. It'd be too heavy)
Who said child stars cannot be successful in their old age! When are you going to drop a new CD?!
Coordination very bad. Old old old)))
Welll there’s your problem right there guys, both those guitars are from an alternate universe.
I have what is surely a dumb question. What's with the dual guitar? I've seen some guitar players use them but always the bottom part. I'm sure it's just that I always miss it but I've never seen anyone use the top portion
I have seen many of their videos, and yet to see Billy play the top section of his double neck guitar. I guess for show. But he is entertaining
wow....the little kid in the black and white footage....? that was the first twin neck guitar I had ever seen....
they were around, but i believe that larry was the first to play one regularly and on tv
Still not very good
👍👵👍⚘🎊⚘🎉⚘🎊⚘🎉⚘🎊⚘🎉⚘💥➿💥➿💥➿
He showed the way for Jimmy Page!
not likely
Jimmy Dickens maybe
I would love to see him jam with Jimi Page.
Did he ever play the top part of that guitar?
F U D G E I T ..
good kid/good goat!
Deke is a Cool Cat!
Na.pas.perdu.sa.touche
Amazing right hand. Is that Junior Brown with him?
Deke Dickerson a big supporter of rockabilly music and gear.
I’ve never seen him use the top neck of this guitar. Why does he use a double neck? Other than that, he’s pretty good but all pretty standard simplistic rockabilly.

Great to see Larry out there performing, just a few months after his sister and performing partner Lorrie Collins had died at 78.
I once missed out on a mosrite guitar by 15 minutes! I went to get the money after playing it and came back to it having been sold to a collector.
Very entertaining man Mr Larry Collins!!
Deke needs to bring back deke fest. I miss it so much and it was a chance to pay homage to all the two headed calves out there lol 😂
Bit hard to compare... can't see the footwork on the second clip.
🤦🏻
Not impressed at all. That is the most basic guitar playing there is, he didn't do anything but strum and make a lot of racket. I did that much after about 6 months of picking up a guitar, big deal.
How many of your videos are on RUclips? How many TV shows booked you? How many records have you sold? How many people have paid to hear you play?
Look, the playing had to be basic and simple. The main draw was his dancing and prancing while playing. So I'm just bummed he isn't dancing anymore and this is what's left.
If you don't enjoy then just move on 😁😆😅
@@carlpop2324 You're dealing with a Troll only capable of mean comments.
Troll hasn't been playing since early 50s. I doubt he could play 3 minutes.
Anything for a buck
Una porquería.
