@@CunnilingusVolcano Yeah Dayton is weird because the city itself is about the 200th most populous city but with all the suburbs included it's about the 75th most populous metropolitan area in the country so it feels smaller than it is. Since the Flyers are the only real team to follow they're pretty popular even without having much success historically

Look I get why some people hate Ohio, I live here and they’re not wrong about a lot of it, but damn this State has some good teams to watch UD Cincy Xavier WSU and sometimes OSU and BGSU in basketball OSU Toledo Ohio U Cincy in football BGSU in Hockey (it’s fun to watch them) The Indians Blue Jackets Toledo Walleye Cincy Cyclones and plenty others I’m probably missing

Topin is very skilled has good size and plays even bigger than he is. He doesn’t settle for outside jumpers and is excellent off the ball as a cutter a screen setter and catch and shoot player from the outside.

That offense is impossible to defend. Artistry as a team. Grant is from the Donovan coaching tree. Wish he would come back to Florida and teach our guys to play like that. Mike White is a good recruiter but he can't coach this.
What also makes them good is they have a ton of experience and this year the championship is up for grabs, their are 3 non power conference teams in the top 10 Gonzaga, SDSU, and Dayton, this years freshman class is poor and weak, this is going to be the Cinderella year of college basketball

It's a super impressive play when your center can accurately pass cross court out of the double team, then hit the corner 3 after the defensive rotation. Having a starting center who can win with post ups, drives, passing, and 3 point shooting destroys defensive gameplans.

You TRY to find the weakest link and see how much you can leverage that against your strengths. As you can see from their record that's been damn difficult to do. Baylor has a team that can match up with this. I'm not sure about any other teams tho.
@@cavaleer Yeah we don't have many bad players on our team I would say Chatman and Mikesell need to step it up but that's about it.

This year's tourney is going to be outright crazy with probably 16 teams who could win it all. Maybe 16 more who could get to the Final Four. Brackets will be busted for sure. Then next year Carolina all day. Hopefully!

@Inferno He had great recruiting classes at Alabama. He had a top 10 class in 2011 and top 20 the year before. JaMychal Green was the best player he ever had. All I am saying is that recruiting was never his weakness. Offense was. Having a lottery pick helps but doesn't change everything. I believe the NBA helped him.

Dayton has played 1 top 5 team in Kansas and yes they lost in overtime but that's the only real team they've played you cant compare kansas and duke pr Louisiana shooting percentage against a team who has played 1 top 5 team lol

My coach used to say it all the time. It’s not what you run it’s how you run it. Like you said a lot of college teams run that ball screen continuity, Dayton just seems to run it better

@@nickredman5827 I agree but you have to understand the difficulties of scheduling of top teams from p5. they won't schedule teams like Dayton anymore because they don't have to. too much to lose not enough to gain. You think we are avoiding P5 schools. No way. Thats why we were so pissed about not getting in the new Big East. We were black balled by a few new members in that league. why i'm not sure. If you don't know of the problems of getting a quality schedule my guess is your probably a fan of a p5 school.

Such a good offense.. yeah they have played bum teams. Two times they played decent teams they lost both.
Yeah thats what I keep getting out of this video, there is some really lack luster defense here by their competition. Obi Toppin is good enough already, yet alone when you leave him open or posted up against a guy 4 inches shorter than him. It's hard for me to have faith in a team like Dayton come March when they've not really been battle tested all season, how will they hold up playing 2 games in a weekend against talented teams.
@@bobbleheadbob Some of the best offensive teams i have seen struggled vs good competition when games matter most. The thing with teams like these is they get over hyped cause their worst losses are their best losses. But those losses will tell you a lot about the team and how they perform. Dayton reminds me of those VCU teams we saw. They look good until they play a team of championship caliber in big games.
