      Francisco Venegas jr.
      that would be a properly set up suspension design for maximum traction.
      Sit behind an 18 wheeler with no trailer taking off, you will see the back of the frame lift when he accelerates.
      Because of the suspension design it uses the axle wrapping effect to jack the frame up.
      It actually plants the tires to the pavement using the vehicles weight to your advantage.
      The old 1980s Buick grand nationals did the same thing.
      Plenty of vids of those doing burnouts on here 😬
      When something squats off the line it’s losing traction.

    Take a tape measure up to DG's parking lot and measure the turning radius before you extend the frame, then again after doing so. I suspect a 10 inch stretch is going to negate most of what you gained with the modded steering rack. *edit* p.s, grats on 50k. :)

    put twin Mikuni carbs on it, and use a motorcycle carb sync so that they draw the same and do not over power one cylinder than the other. Put a hoop behind your head, over the lights and one over the steering wheel, and that would be your roll bar.

    Hey I'm wondering your opinion I have a Predator 212 hemi still has the governor in it almost all stock besides a air filter an straight pipe the engine only has about 10hours on it was rideing yesterday an the engine got rodknock wasn't rideing hard at all I have some experience with engines but it would be my first time taking one of the Predators all the way apart I took the side of the engine apart and found out it's for sure rodknock do you think I should just buy a new engine or fix my current one

    • @hankoffroad8178

      Scott Horner it's because u ran it straight piped with out putting a bigger jet in it....but predator motors are cheap so u could either make yours better with high performance parts or just buy another engine there really easy to work on ....just remember to get a bigger jet for the carb lol

    Hi Greg That looks like so much fun to this 58 year old
    Have you considered the benefits of putting a 650cc or 750cc motorbike engine on it? you not only would have nearly double the power, BUT gears and NO belts to deal with
    Im sure you could buy a good cheap Bike for the cost of what you pay for the Predator 670 before you mod them , that would be a cart to see fanging around the year Or up a descent hill
    Tony

    • @michaelangelod5008
      @michaelangelod5008 7 лет назад

      Moondyne .Joe that would be million times better even a dirt bike engine like a crf450 but the chines 670cc predator coast around $700 and have oil problems has more torque but identical top speed too a 212cc predator a motorcycle engine would be awesome on a build like this they only use these engines because they can do series builds of putting mods on them and they are free because they are sponsored by gopowersports

    • @MoondyneJoe
      @MoondyneJoe 7 лет назад +1

      Hi Michael, Greg seems to be a handy mechanic, and I understand what you are saying
      By using a motorcycle engine it adds another type of Project for the channel he said he would add Vehicles in a previous Video and if I remember correctly also a Motor Cycle engined kart build ( a comment about 3 or 4 months back) as the M/C engine is more powerful he doesn't have to necessarily have to modify it in any way (the internals) maybe a port and polish new Timing chin but by keeping it stock anybody could follow the instructions for mounting it , Using the Bikes wiring harness
      would make it easy on the electrics for a novice and give more options on the electrics for gauges, electric start, lighting and if wanted indicators
      Just imagine a 2 stroke Suzuki GT750
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_GT750
      I rode one back in the late 70s and talk about needing to change your undies when you got of it!
      They are loud and lots of power esp when you hit the power band
      But then you could ( If you could find one) shove a Cb 750cc Honda k2 engine on it and have reliable grunt, quiet and also powerful
      I'm sure they still could get parts for the Kart such as Gearing Cogs, chains, bearings, mounts, wheels, cables, seats, Suspension, steering, so G-P-S would still play a huge part in the build as well
      In the end you would end up with a more versatile kart that would go like the clappers! at a reasonable price
      Or they could go this route
      Moto Engine Mini Tractors

    You should build a kart using an engine from a wrecked Harley Davidson do it as a special for the Fourth of July then sell Rafael tickets for it, I get 10 free for giving you the idea. Cut the muffler off and flip 180 and weld back on.

      I've seen that done for a dirt track car using an Evo Sportster engine. He used a jack shaft to align the rear drive chain while offsetting the engine to the side of the driver. It previously had a V45 Honda. No pics because this was many years ago but it ran like a scalded cat and wouldn't be any hassle to build.
