The "crack-ups" were an 80's thing, had a couple when I was a kid, right along with the cars with the big license plates on the back. Greta job bringing this thing back to life. Love the details.
I wish more people did customs of castings that had unique features and were designed to be played with, you have a unique customising challenge and end up with a better looking toy :)

UK newcomer, I’ve subbed and belled. I loved these as a kid, the taxi sticks in my head the most. Started collecting cars again as an adult and found a lovely Sport Crasher in black recently. Really good loose condition which still has the plastic bonnet / hood. Always looking for loose cars. Totally obsessed.
Thanks for watching and subscribing! It's always lucky when you can find those with the plastic hood intact - so many times they broke off because it was a weak point. Have fun chasing down more of them!

I don't have a say in either Gaslands or Warhammer, let alone that Japanese word you've used a couple of times because it's all completely foreign to me. I don't even know the films mentioned from hearsay. But because I don't like sports cars like that anyway, this type of conversion is simply the best that could happen to them. Especially since you haven't aged the cart. The more I watch your videos, the more I see the incredible amount of creativity and good humor that goes into your customs and I feel very inspired.

I only got back into modeling last year, but for the first time on this small scale. (Up until 1997 I also collected 1:64, but I converted between 1:32 and up to 1:8.) After a 25-year break you inspire me not only with your skills and ideas, but also with your humor and the way you describe yourself and not taking things too seriously. Thanks to you and your videos, I dare to do things that are outside of my box, such as taking part in the challenge.
I think I might have 1 or 2 from this series packed away. very cool build. I'm guilty of having the mad max idea in my head with regards to gaslands lol. city apocalyptic cars wouldn't have alot rust at all

Your casting turned out really neat, and I like the adjustable door panel that looks like it's damaged. Do you play Gaslands? JIm, this is the Burger King of castings - 'Have it your way!' (that reference might be older than the Death Race 2000 movie). I love those wheels. Not a roller? We'll survive. Thanks Jimmy! I edit my videos using Adobe Premiere Rush on a Windows based computer. It’s really easy to use, yet has more than enough power for what I do.
looks great, nice and clean. :) well, aside the doors, and the windows could use a cleaning. XD interesting colour choice, but yeh, why should they all be rusty and worn-out? a workign vehicle is worth a fortune there, you have to take care of it. I barely remember the crack-ups in germany. must have been early 80's or something, they ran a few ads on TV I think. a buddy had one, already used a lot, but still working. if I recall right the damaged panel needs a little push in to unlock and swivel around. put it back into position and it clicks in place. but like it is with all things that have play already, there will be more play and wearing out. :P crack-ups are rare on german fleamarkets, I think most were literally shot to hell indeed and filled the dustbin. saw one last year in complete condition, the only one in many years...
