We see the limbs but never accounted for the legs. Was the Quincy King the legs of the soul king destined to re-United the other pieces and march towards the soul king and be once again reabsorbed with Reio? Thus completing the souls kings body again. Ultimately, the new soul king is in fact just a reincarnation of that last who’s fate became the same.

One thing I'll say is that there is a potential alternate explanation as to why Reio agreed to be imprisoned and that's because he knew the three worlds was a better system for everyone than the primordial world. I know Haschwalth says that the Soul Reapers are the soul king's true enemies, but of course he of all people would see that as such.
Also, as a side tangent, I find it kinda ironic that Mimihagi, the right hand of stillness, is the one who came to love the Soul Reapers despite its original distain for them. While Pernida, the left hand of progression, remains dogmatic in its hate for the Soul Reapers.

Just because Reio didn't consent to the dismemberment, doesn't necessarily mean that he didn't see it coming. If he was already willing to seal himself away, and his powers were equal to or greater than Ywach's, then I would be so bold as to make the assumption that he was perfectly capable of stopping his dismemberment, but rather felt that if that's what the noble houses needed to put their minds at ease during the sealing ceremony, then so be it. The good, at least in Reios (many) eyes, far outweighed the assured anguish and torment that was being dismembered.

I dont think Ichigo is being given any sort of power.
We know that when Quilqe and Ywach attacked Ichigo, it activated the memories within his soul and Quincy powers were displayed (blut vene). I believe something similar is happening now.
The Soul King is showing Ichigo his memories and the memories are sort of awakening Ichigo. The Soul Kings Reiatsu is sort of taking Ichigos Reiatsu and reminding, blending it, making it resemble something like his own.
Instead of 4 different spiritual pressures in Ichigo, its like the SK memories are taking Ichigo and blending his power into one Super spiritual pressure with its own unique signature, resembling that of the King.

What’s important to note is that these images don’t convey to Ichigo that the Reio didn’t agree to the separation of his body. With no context (unless provided by Ichibei or through the Reio telepathically) this could all be perceived by Ichigo as something the Reio agreed to do. Hence, many people claiming the ‘original sin’ being revealed to Ichigo whilst on the surface appears to be shown; the real original sin, that Reio didn’t agree to the separation of his body is not conveyed in these scenes.

Possibly, the water world IS the crystal prison. His turning the key could possibly be him initiating the final seal willingly, and the "betrayal" that gets around The Almighty was he could see himself in essentially stasis from the moment he uses the key. But because it shows him the perspective from locked in the crystal stasis, he could not see the limbs being severed after.
It would help smooth the transition from "Can't Fear" of they did it to him after he was sealed and helpless, while giving a plausible reason he could be betrayed even with The Almighty since the crystal world would essentially freeze his perspective, allowing the ancestors to then shatter off pieces of his power.
Crucially, it would help explain why the Right Arm and partially/occasionally the Torso seem to help the Shinigami, while the other 3 pieces seemingly only support the Qunicy and hate them. If the Soul King willingly initiated the final seal, part of him would be supportive of the reasons he did it in the first place, but the other part would be extremely wounded by the betrayal. One quarter of the pieces and some of the core would be an excellent metaphor to explain why he knew it had to happen for the good of the world for the Shinigami, but the greater pieces formed of the betrayal would hate the Shinigami so much.

What if the panel with the 3 cyclones were showing the 3 worlds being created? If the primordial world was really as they described (essentially just a ton of hollows everywhere destroying humans, and no quincy to regulate them, and likely very few soul reapers since there werent many beings around to stop chains of fate from being broken) then there had to have only been a handful of beings who were powerful enough to fight off the OP hollows, so once the soul king surrendered (and subsequently died) his power was broken up into 3 parts which ended up being the 3 worlds..
Idk that seems possible to me, I always theorized that in the primordial era all that existed were humans/hollows/soul reapers, once the soul king was imprisoned the Quincys were probably created to balance out the soul reapers.

So far the "mark" on Reio's hand seems like just a shadow. It's also perpendicular to the direction of Mimihagi's eye, so I'd be surprised it it did have anything to do with that. With the motif of eyes surrounding Reio, showing up on the reiatsu and his body parts as well as the focus on his alien irises, I think it's just natural for Mimihagi and Pernida to gain eyes. Reio is all about sight, after all

A theory I want to share here it's the next : regarding to the weapon/tool/relic that reio is holding, what if it was made by the 5 original leaders of the noble houses and ichibei? This so he could use the relic as a way of canalize his power ; the almighty ; thus he used this to create the 3 realms, and maybe seal him at the same time but perhaps he didn't see anything clearly even though he knew what was going to happen.
We know that the almighty can be tricked by illusions or anything that can get in the way of his vision, the power can be omnipotent but it still is used by a normal sense : the sense of view can be tricked in so many ways by lightning, imagination, reflections, etc therefore it makes perfect sense that aizen's kyokasuigetsu is such a good tool against the almighty. It is nowhere near as powerful as the almighty but it doesn't need to be powerful, it just needs to trick his vision once, no matter how many eyes he has all of them can be tricked because altering the sense of view is rather easy the majority of the times.
So with this point clear my theory is that the relic reio uses has something similar to aizen's kyokasuigetsu or tsukishima's bookmark to trick his vision, so he doesn't know what is going to happen next and on top of that, the relic may have another element that could have been used for the mutilation of the soul king ; that's the hollow power.
We know that the soul king is the first quincy and how he used a bow and arrow to eradicate the hollows in primordial realm, but we also know that the hollow reiatsu is poison for the quincy and how when they connect their reiatsu with the one of hollows it affects them greatly to the point of leaving them weak and powerless to death. In my opinion the relic had these 2 keys to trick and seal reio : something to confuse his vision and another to left him weak and cut him.
Do you remember how daiguren hyorinmaru's wing felt off from cang du's back after toshiro hollowfied his bankai? It was rather quick and easy to cut the connection that he had with his bankai bia reiatsu once this was mixed with hollow power. Probably the relic had something similar to poison reio's reiatsu, leaving him weak, hence why his arms fall from his body.
This is my theory and I know I wrote a lot here but I did to explain this on the best way possible so that anyone can understand this idea.

What really convinced me that this scene isn't the separation of the worlds is the simple fact that there's a "ritual" involved. If Yhwach was able to initiate the merging of the worlds using the Almighty alone and without the need for a ritual, then it's safe to assume separating the worlds would be the same process. So the fact that the scene in question showcased a ritual of some sort, strongly suggests this is definitely not the separation of the worlds but indeed a ritual for something else entirely... which further supports Mr. Tommo's theory.

    • @matthewhelland9258

Similar to how Yuma chooses what timeline he prefers to happen. Would make sense as the soul king gets to have his wish to have a stable world that’s kept safe, but he can finally rest and end the million years of torture.

    Two comments:
I saw a great theory that Reio's real name is "Yahw-h". Ichibei took away the name "Yahw-h" and gave him the fake name "Reio". Enough people vaguely remembered or had written down the name "YHWH" that when Juha appeared, and people saw his godlike power, they started to call him YHWH -> Ywach -> Juha Bach.
If Kyoka Suigetsu is able to deceive The Almighty, it is possible that one of the original ancestors (especially if they were comparable in power to Ichibei) had a similar ability and was able to hide Reio's physical destruction from the futures he saw with The Almighty.

that relic he is holding appears to be a limch pin. Reio is supposed to be the linch pin that holds that keeps the worlds of bleach seperated as they are. Also it appears he pulled the pin out and this created the vortex and seperated the 3 worlds. Doing this made him into said linch pin.
