With a cast like this, the movie couldn't be but excellent. I love ABBA and their music. Remind me my youth. And I love every single actor and actress in this movie.

She wasn’t opposed to a sequel, but she didn’t want a story that she had to essentially carry on her shoulders. In those same interviews, the producers said that, without overtly saying it, Donna died of cancer. The original movie, which I loved, was admittedly over the top. The sequel is over the moon, like a two-hour pastry-binge, but it’s irresistible.

I liked the producers told the girls and guys to go off and come up with a dance routine for’ Super Trouper ‘ the girls come back in minutes with a great dance routine and the guys said they had nothing, felt really bad after the girls come up with such a great performance, the guys were amazed, ..pure joy thanks Meryl.
Tina Hartley i mean i respect Streep's decision not to do a sequel but i hate the way they tried to hide the plot in the trailer and marketing it like Meryl was in it and Seyfried said in an interview when asked that fans are afraid that (the old) Donna wouldn't be in the film "Oh yeah Donna will be pretty much in it"
Notice they didn't spoil the fate of one of the characters...By the way, I thought it was a good creative decision especially the way it was dealt with at the end...

riazsoomro That's one way of looking at it. It makes the point that Donna's dreams of making the hotel were obsolete compared to the relationship she had with her daughter. I think it's sad that Donna never got to see the baby. When it's all said and done people are all that matter in life. Everything else is obsolete.

This second movie completes the 1st one beautifully... but why did they have to "kill" Donna? So sad! People died of course, but not in Musicals, please. Probably Meryl Streep was busy working somewhere else. Missed her so much.

I was very disappointed in the sequel. I LOVED the first Momma Mia with Meryl. We we were so looking forward to the second one, which included her name on the people list, but, found out she was dead and not in the sequel WHY WHY.
