So pleased that straight after I discover your channel and your awesome HP mini series, another part comes out. Can't wait until the next one, now. This one though- I love it!! The inside turned out really beautifully with all the landings- all those railings, you champion!! I must admit though, when you opened the trunk and I saw all the little rolled parchments, I legit clapped my hands in delight because it was properly magical. You must have spent hours making those awesome little scrolls, and what an awesome way to choose a Potter prompt. Wonderful. All the kudos to you!! Btw, I'm in Brisbane, and it's so wonderful to see a fellow Aussie knocking about the (miniaturist) place. Keep up the awesome work!!
ahhhwww what a wonderful comment, thank you so much for your support! Yes, this will be a LONG series.... As you might have seen 50 matchbox miniatures... I'll be finishing this series in May 2023 and in months that have 5 Fridays, I'll be putting out 2 of these videos. The next one is on the first of next month, so only 2 weeks away! Glad you like the scrolls too! Just a little bit of extra magic :D
That's an awesome project! I love the 3 Broomsticks! Would be fun to see the leeky cauldron some time and compare. I might try this and put a fire in the fireplace...maybe a small light feature. But that might be taking it a bit far! Anyway, thanks so much for the inspiration and willingness to share your creations!
First of all, I love that green wizard's trunk and those adorable tiny scrolls you filled it with! I really love the matchbox dioramas you are making, and wonder how you figure out how to make such tiny furniture!!! I've watched three of your Harry Potter dioramas, so far. Thanks for sharing! I also love the Harry Potter books and movies! ~Janet in Canada
Great series. Love it... you must have cauldrons of patience!!!!😜😋😁😁 Don’t be hard on yourself... you have talent and these so far are just AWESOME ! 🌹Rosie of Oz🇦🇺🐶&Omega the cavalier🐶
Darkest Raven Designs you may be correct... 😊 I have 6 children and had very little patience when they were little. Now they’re teenagers and know everything... I have miles of it! Maybe if I was more patient when they were younger ... oh well, sigh!!!. I love miniatures but my fingers seem to object to tiny little things. I make mini albums and make a lot of my embellishments, especially flowers. That I can handle. I’ll continue to enjoy your miniatures though; looking forward to the next instalment.
Amazing. The landings and rails are my favorite because so tiny and effective! I also love how your random selection system is an amazing art project on it's own.
I'm in awe with how you cut the tiny little railings out 😱 Amazing! That cauldron is just insane. I don't know how you do it. Those chairs are next level! 😍🙌
This is insanely cool! Absolutely love your Harry Potter miniature series. It's a sheer delight to watch you create such complex small details. Bravo! :)
Its BC of your wizarding trunk prompt idea, that I am now starting to put together one of my own, a little at a time. I cant wait to see all 50 Harry Potter miniatures together in the future! What a magical full large diorama that will be!!! I cant wait to see how you do Professor Snapes Potion Class, or Defense Against the Dark Arts Room or the Herbology greenhouse! 🍃🎨♥️ Your miniatures are 🔮 magic and the 3Broomsticks is stunning. I envy your steady hand and patience for tiny details.
I started this one this evening. This morning I made the Charms classroom. (not completed yet). I have a few that I still have to detail yet. Thank you so much for giving me something to do seeing that I am home bound. :( it tends to get quite boring. lol
This is the 2nd one I've watched, starting out with, of course, the first one. I am Still in shock with my jaw on the ground & my big ol mouth open wide! lol I am so So impressed with ur work! What a Great & Wonderful artist u r!! I subscribed one the first one 🙂 I can't wait to catch up on the 19 u have completed. 2 down 17 to go. 😁 Thank Thank Thank u for sharing! ❤ Ms T
Fabulous work! I love the imagination and use of materials - You might want to add small cardboard cut out doors at the ends of the walkways to 'sell' the idea its bigger than it is - regardless great work!
I loved this one, but I wish you had added a little more to it. Maybe some candles on the fireplace mantel, some mugs of butterbeer on the bar, and maybe a broomstick on hanging outside. Still, this diorama is amazing! Loved it!
Love it! You really go all out on the detail Chantal and that’s what makes your work so good. There should be a pub sign tho’ surely? Can’t remember the outside from the film so I’m not so sure myself, lol.
I love it, this series will be a joy to watch. I need to make the stars they are so cute. It would be interesting to see how you made the cauldron. What is the glue you use to stick on the plastic for the windows? 👏👏👏👍👍👍
Thanks so much! The cauldron was so small to film! It was a rolled up piece of paper, glued on a flat piece of paper for the base and then I cut around the base to finish it off. The glue I use for the windows is UHU all purpose adhesive. If you want to see most of the materials I use, please check out my Amazon store front. www.amazon.com/shop/darkestravendesigns
I am little late, but omg I love this smoll diorama so much. And the box you take your prompts from is cute as heck! Do you have any video or tutorial how you made it? Would love to make one!
Thanks so much! The green trunk box is a wooden box I bought in store, painted green, made the corners gold and attached handles on the side just by glueing on a piece of leather, but you can also use paper for this. Then I lined the inside with some fabric and done!
Fantastic - as always! I love the water colour pen/brush you’re using. Can you tell me what it is and/or where to find it? Can’t wait for the next video!
Thanks so much! It is a pentel water brush pen. You just fill it with water. I find it easier to use than needing to have water on the desk to clean your brush. Next one in this series is on the first Friday of next month (only 2 weeks away) If you want to see most of the materials I use, please check out my Amazon store front. www.amazon.com/shop/darkestravendesigns
Watched this again. How long did this take? Do you keeping all the stuff you make? Can you do an end video with all your match boxes set up? Love your videos💜
It took 5 hours (it's at the very end of the video). Yes, I'm keeping all the things I make (for now). At the very end of the series I'll do a video with all of them. There might be some videos in between where I'll display the series so far.
As much as I appriciate all the hard work going into this I feel that something is missing...eg drinks..I think it needs them added. Great work though 👍

Oh and can we also talk about that ADORABLE trunk with the cool little scrolls! What a lovely way to present and randomize this project
Thank you so much! That took FOREVER!!! But it's a long term project so worth the effort I suppose :D
Wow! That tiny railing. I love the whole piece. You need to open a matchbox mini museum!
Love how you did the stair railing! So tiny!
Thanks, Ara! I actually don't mind doing them, it is kinda satisfying when it all comes together
You amaze me with those tiny matchbox dioramas. Wonderful.
My favorite part of this are the balconies!

Just Brilliant. Those tiny chairs and table are precious as well as the bar 😀
Thanks you, Christine!
Lots of great detail on such a small scale. ❤Even if it isn't your favorite, thank you for creating it and for the inspiration!

Super cute!! I love the irregular windows and that you took the effort of putting acetate behind them, and also the tiny little banisters
Thanks so much! 😊

Thank you! 😊 I don't have cauldrons of patience... but I do have a 2 year old and I think that might be kind of the same thing?

Thanks for the tips!
I loved this one, but I wish you had added a little more to it. Maybe some candles on the fireplace mantel, some mugs of butterbeer on the bar, and maybe a broomstick on hanging outside. Still, this diorama is amazing! Loved it!
I would probably add all the other extras in a larger diorama but this was so tiny!
love love love this. :}
Thank you!
This series is great! Could you also show us pictures of the reference rooms you use?
Love it! You really go all out on the detail Chantal and that’s what makes your work so good. There should be a pub sign tho’ surely? Can’t remember the outside from the film so I’m not so sure myself, lol.
Decided not to on this one as there is already so much going on with the outside of the building. :)
I love it, this series will be a joy to watch. I need to make the stars they are so cute. It would be interesting to see how you made the cauldron. What is the glue you use to stick on the plastic for the windows? 👏👏👏👍👍👍

Would love to see your miniature matchbox version of the Shrieking Shack =)
Noted!
I hope you do all the common rooms id love to see that! Newts briefcase would be cool too but idk where your drawing the line on locations
Ohh hadn't thought about Newt's suitcase! All common rooms will definitely be done in matchbox AND 1:12 Scale
If you are going to do one or two each month... will we have this serie for more than 3 years? 🤩
Sure will! Next one is in two weeks as that's the first of the month again. I did some calculations and I will finish the series around May 2023.
I agree with you
I am little late, but omg I love this smoll diorama so much. And the box you take your prompts from is cute as heck! Do you have any video or tutorial how you made it? Would love to make one!

Please make Dumbledore's desk! I would pay for a pattern if you make it. Love your channel!
haha Thank you. At some point I will make Dumbledore's office
Great tutorial. I’m curious about what kind of glue people are using. Is it a silicone glue? It appears to be clear and quick drying, and strong.
Thank you! I have a link to my Amazon shop here for you. It has a page with the products I use most 🙂

Would heavy heavy gauge page protector be sufficient for window glass for small windows?
Absolutely!
Next one in this series is on the first Friday of next month (only 2 weeks away)

As much as I appriciate all the hard work going into this I feel that something is missing...eg drinks..I think it needs them added. Great work though 👍
What type paint brush is that?
it's a pentel water brush. you fill it with water and away you go! I love these brushes.
Tree broomsticks?
Haha didn't even notice. Will change tomorrow
Has anyone found any Butter Beer?
hoping for the next diorama!!!!!
There will be at least one every month! Thanks for being here :)
