ha ha Chuck I realized it about half way into making the video! And then I was like, well, I'll just keep saying it.... made me want cake too. Chocolate mousse preferably....
Great video with such amazing succulents. You did a great job accommodating the plants according to their light needs. The beheaded plants are doing amazing👍👍👍👍. Thanks for sharing your wonderful collection and I love your pots. Have a happy new 🎉🎆🎉🎆👍.
Hi Iza, your succulents are the most beautiful ones I've ever seen! Thank you for sharing. How many watts is your light? I have a smaller setup and need to get a smaller bulb. Any recommendations?
Ray Oliver thank you so much! That is a very sweet compliment that I do not take for granted, as there are many very good growers on youtube.... I am pasting in a link to the grow light that I have - it's from Gardeners Supply. They have different sizes etc. Problem is, they only sell in the US - not sure where you're located... Best of luck! www.gardeners.com/buy/sunlite-tabletop-led-grow-light/8595552.html#q=grow%2Blights%2Bled&simplesearch=submit&start=9
Hi Iza! How clever to use a cake stand! The shape of it holds quite a few pots! The coasters, too, were a good idea. Etiolated or not, that 'Cubic Frost' is gorgeous!!! Is your Echeveria nodulosa a 'Painted Beauty' or 'Painted Lady' by chance? Your collection is very nice, Iza! Your 'Perle Von Nurnberg' is perfect! Beautiful! Do you have "hard" water? I noticed white on some of your pots. Those square pots with the flowers around the top are some of my favorites. I got 6 of them; but, I didn't even consider them not having saucers/trays! I think square pots are kind of hard to plant in. The inner lip always seems to be in the way. I'm very happy that you posted the links for all of the terracotta pots. You really helped me out! Thanks for another great video. 💛🍁
Thank you for watching Margie! So I water my plants with bottled water, I think it's just the nature of terracotta? I love my cubic frost too :) The nodulosa is a painted lady. As for the PVN, it took me a while to figure out what light level that thing needs. They are tricky. I'm frankly surprised it's staying compact haha.
that cubic frtost is AMAZING!!! the colors on that are beautiful. theyre all beautiful! i just bought a cheap grow light from ocean state job lot. are they very expensive to run? Ct has the highest rates in then country
Nelly! I just started watching your videos yesterday (I watched a video on Lynne's channel about the plants you sent them)! Thank you so much for subscribing. I love your plants :) The critters - that's something new for me. I just have a cat!! Anyway, you should take a look in the beginning of my latest video I have a little 'tenant' outside that you might like.
Iza Szydlowska i was planning to watch all videos :) scheduled for today:) If you think this critters are unpleasant (which I understand if you do) I always start this kind of videos with a warning ⚠️ and black screen :)Lots of hugs from southern Sweden 🤗 pozdrowienia
Hi Victoria. Sorry for the delayed response! I get them from many places. On line websites that I've had decent results with are Leaf & Clay, Mountain Crest Garden and Succulent Depot (good prices). As far as local retail, I live in the Northeastern US. I found many at my local Lowes and Home Depot - succulents are becoming more and more popular so there is some selection - it's pretty random you just have to keep checking. There are a few local nurseries that carry succulents - again, hit or miss.
thank you for the comment! No the lighting is unchanged throughout the year. The plants still have their growing seasons. I have one cactus under there - since it doesn't go dormant, it never flowers. Other succulents are not that picky :)
Alex, I think better than the fluorescent (which is what I have in this video), but jury still out. For instance, I think there's less etiolation, but some plants had better color under the old one. The two newest videos are the new light...
Thank you :) I put a link to the grow light above. I bought it because I like this company. But I know a lot of people use Sun Blaster and have good success
Iza Szydlowska oh ok. Thanks so much! That’s what I use for my emersed setup but my girlfriend has succulents and she is not sure what to do when winter comes yet so I have been starting to see what lights would work
I like Gardener's Supply Company, too, Iza. They can be kind of pricey; but, the stuff they sell is really good quality. When I'm ready for a grow light system, that's probably where I'll purchase it. They seem to have an interesting range of sizes/prices.
I’m pretty sure in the winter your not suppose to water often and give them a rest period. actually watering to much may lead the plant to start stretching out as well as the light being to high.
Pretty smart of you for figuring this out and using risers to accommodate each ones' light needs!
and you say cake stand enough times that I'm hungry now
ha ha Chuck I realized it about half way into making the video! And then I was like, well, I'll just keep saying it.... made me want cake too. Chocolate mousse preferably....
The man behind Cerriscapades thinks I'm smart! I'm feeling pretty good just about now :)
It has definitely been a journey - a year now!

Ruthie I am so sorry I missed this comment :(
Thank you so much for the compliments from someone who has such a wonderful collection herself!

Thank you for the video. Do you change the growing lights schedule in winter to promote dormancy?

Wow beautiful!!!
Adila thank you so much!!!!!
How are you getting on now with the led bulb?

Nice video. What light are you using? Sun blaster?

Margie they periodically have sales too. Just sign up for emails. I got my light 20% off from what I recall
Love this video
thank you so much!
If plants are under lights during winter are they watered more often as if they were in regular sun...I'm new to this...
I’m pretty sure in the winter your not suppose to water often and give them a rest period. actually watering to much may lead the plant to start stretching out as well as the light being to high.
Finally!
yes I'm trying to fight procrastination in daily life. I have to make an outdoor one before everything dies back for the winter - so, coming soon!
Perfect
