- Moto camping with the Triumph Bonneville T120.
Spring is finally starting to peak out from behind the clouds, so I loaded up the Bonneville T120 and headed out for a BBQ in the countryside. Easing my way into this year's moto camping plans, I decided to go light, have a mini camping adventure and return home to my warm bed at night (it's still freezing a night here).

Yep, it's the simple pleasures that are often the most rewarding! Thanks for the video.......a good distraction from all the present news. Peace.
So true Quentin.
Love your videos! I love the routes AND the 'camping moments'!
So glad you like them! 🙏
As a T120 owner, I love the quality and simplicity of your videos. They're full of gorgeous colour and texture 👍🙂 And I think I need some of the beautiful chrome accessories like you've got on your T120.
Thanks Pete, that's kind of you to say. Matt black seems to be the fashion at the moment, but shiny chrome is timeless 😁
As always, World Class photography.
Thanks Mark! 🙏
What an awesome video Matt, well done!! I doubt anyone that watches your video stays indifferent and does not feel the urge also to get out there on the open road! Your T120 it's a real beauty, well done also for the mods!! 👍👍
Thanks Nelio. If I’ve inspired a few people to get out there riding then my work here is done! 😁
Fabulous video production, great relaxing video, there’s an awful lot of thought and work put into this, much appreciated, really enjoyable
Glad you liked it Peter!
What a lovely day!
It was! I need to do things like this more often.
Wow, a nice moment of sharing this journey and it seems like I was traveling too !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderful, thank you for your amazing posts, they’re very inspiring.
Glad you like them David!
Coś pięknego! 💪👋🇵🇱
Thank you!
Love your video! Now I want to buy a Triumph Bonneville T120 and go camping! Thanks for sharing!
They’re a great combo!
Nice one Matt...
Thanks Henry! 👊
From Corsica, Thanks for this great vidéo.
Glad you liked it 🙏
Another great video! Seems like the area you live in has many great places to ride to and beautiful things to see within a reasonable riding distance.
That's very true, I'm quite lucky to live on the edge of the Peak District 🙂
Hello Mat, good morning, weather and ideal motorcycle for a great ride, I enjoyed it a lot and as always, a pleasure to see you. Greetings to you and your entire community. peace for all!!!
Hey Julian, I’m always glad to get a comment from you, hope you’re keeping well!
Another nice video! Tnx for share your rides. regards
So glad you liked it Flávio!
Love your BBQ setup! Definitely getting one of these
Can't go wrong with them.
Your videos are just getting better and better so enjoyable almost therapeutic to watch! The effort that goes into them must be immense and you show the enjoyment and tranquility that can be found if you can make the effort to go and find it. Thank you for making them Mat. Best wishes Dan 👍🏻
So glad you enjoyed the video Dan, they do take a little work to make, but I enjoy the process and it’s all worth it to see other folk such as yourself getting something out of them too.
Thank you ! 👍
My pleasure 😁
So beautiful!!
Hey Atsuki 👋
Amazing stuff mate. This is the reason why we ride. Apart from putting the milk in with the teabag 🤣🤣😁
What’s wrong with you people? 😁
@@ClassicRides We English make tea properly 🤣
This was my immediatly thought.
What a great video then he commits one of the worse sins imaginable. Tea bag with milk😭. 😂
It's a good life :)
Sometimes it is!
看你的影片讓我感覺身入其境,很棒。我也喜歡凱旋的車,像是speed twin 1200,😄😄👍👍Watching your videos makes me feel like I'm there, it's great. I also like Triumph bikes like speed twin 1200
Thank you, so glad you liked the video! 🙏
it's a very nice video.. have a nice ride🙏
Thanks Omer ✌️
Lovely Goyt Valley, great video editing 👍
It's a lovely spot!
Great vid Matt, lovely to have blue skies again isn't it? This is what motorcycling is all about to me .
I was considering selling the Triumph because of the luggage limitations but I guess you are showing me that there are ways around it .cheers
Btw loving my T shirt 😀
Hey Richie, so glad you’re happy with the TShirt! Totally understand about the luggage situation on Bonnie’s, there’s not too many options out there, it’s one of the reasons I’m trying to put together a set that’s useful while looking right on the bike. But it’s never going to be a GS 😁
@@ClassicRides it would be awesome if when you have it to your liking ,you did a vid on the setup ,just a thought Matt✌️
@@bryn481 I certainly will Richie. I’m building up the luggage pieces as I go so next there’ll be tool rolls and then a rucksack, so I think when all the bits are together it should provide a decent amount of luggage space.
Nice video.....
Thanks 🙏
👊
Le bonheur simple...
The simple things always work!
Hello my friend, I need a remind that please don't take the black part of the sausage after cooked on fire, very high risk of taking cancer... Love your silver T120 and I've got a Black T100, my endless passion goes with it all the time! Wish you a pleasant and healthy journey!
Thank you for your concern Madful , I only ate a little bit 😊
Wonderful 👏👍🙏
Thanks Firat, glad you liked it 👊
nice
Thanks! 🙏
Another inspirational video. Makes me want to get out and ride. Great to watch. Was wondering what sort of drone you use and how you get on with it.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks, glad you liked the video. I have an old DJI Mavic Air which seems to be holding up pretty well, I’ve even crashed it a few times and it’s still working 😁. The only thing is the battery life isn’t great, so realistically it gets about 7-10 minutes air time on a fully charged battery. But my batteries are quite old so maybe new ones would last longer. Also there’s licence issues with this weight of drone in the UK, but for what I use it for it’s not a problem, just something to consider if you’re planning on using a drone commercially or flying over populated areas. Otherwise I’d say it’s fantastic 👍
@@ClassicRides thanks very much. I really enjoyed the footage you did last year of the ship on the North Wales coast. Looking forward to some better weather and some more videos.
Take care, ride safe.
Yes I could have cooked the sausages a bit less 😂. Simple pleasures are all you need in my book 👍
🤘🏼🔥🔥🔥👌🏼
👊
Great video again, Mat. I'm in NRW Germany, and we seem to get your weather with about a day's delay. It's been stunning here recently - sunny, warmish and dry. I was out on my R1250RT today, clocking up 294km in the Westerwald area to the east of Bonn and the Rhine river. So many other bikes out on the road too. Have you ever ridden in this part of the world?
Hey Simon, glad you liked the video. I haven’t ridden outside of the UK yet, a trip through Germany is on my list though!
Lovely video. Thank you. Could you let me know the make of your panniers please? I've got a Scrambler so could only fit one on the left but they look great. Cheers.
Thanks Simon! They’re actually my own ones, I sell them as a means to fund the channel. If you’d like a bit more info you can find them in the shop section of www.classic-rides.co.uk
👏👏👏👍
Thank you 👊
Who or which group of musicians played on the video? What great, relaxing tunes to accompany you on a relaxed afternoon ride. l
Both songs are by Jamie Rutherford.
@@ClassicRides L:ast Friday, took delivery of my 2022 T120 Bonneville, cobalt blue/silver. While grinning ear to ear on the first ride, the music to this video was playing in my mind. It will be a life long memory and thanks for posting all your adventures.
@@garyturner3927 that’s cool to hear Gary, I hope you enjoy your T120 as much as I do mine!
@@ClassicRides To share a classic Clint Eastwood movie line. "Ooh yeah."
Very nice video! Did you ever try to record on mic the exhaust sound? I guess it will sound great with the beautiful music you always pick! All the best from Argentina.
Hi Diego, I have tried to capture the exhaust note before but it’s quite difficult to record it without wind noise as my bike is quiet. One day I’ll figure it out!
Happy days, dunner get much better than this!
Totally agree!
Everything is fine, but add in the video more sound engine operation of the motorcycle.
It’s harder than you might think!
Great luggage. The tail bag. What accessories do u need to secure it. And do you need pannier racks for the side luggage?
Thanks, the bags all come with straps you need to attach them to your bike. I would always recommend pannier rails as although you can attach the side bags without them, they’re there really to stop any chance of the bag swinging into the rear wheel.
@@ClassicRides thanks man
Sei Polacco? Video e musica stupendi
Hi Philou, glad you liked the video! If you wanted to buy all three bags, please send an email to hello@classic-rides.co.uk and I'll reply with a special 10% discount code. I've actually just reduced the price of the tail bag yesterday so they're already a bit cheaper than normal 😊
@@ClassicRides Merci Matt je vais y réfléchir ce sont vraiment les frais de port qui m'inquiète j'ai deja eu de mauvaises surprises !! A+ Philou
@@poutch1963 I can understand that, if you were to buy them through my Etsy store, I couldn't do the discount (but I'll thow in a T-Shirt 😁), that way I can use Etsy's IOSS number so you don't get charged import tax.
You set off in a brown jacket then ended in a black jacket or is it my eye sight 🤓
Perhaps it’s just the lighting, same jacket though 😊
What boots are those?
They're Merlin Legacy Outlast boots 👌🏻
Does anybody know the song at the start. Would love to play it on guitar
Not sure of the song title by it’s by Jamie Rutherford.
Your videos are the equivalent of taking a tight pair of shoes off at the end of the day … and relax
I haven't heard them described like that before, thanks John! 😁
