- This practice is one that allows the journeyer to tap into their own inner fluidity. To settle, to observe, to allow what comes and goes. Take time, pause the video if you need, prop yourself with bolsters, blocks or whatever else you may need and breathe deeply.
With the focus on the Earth element of water, this all levels online yoga class will allow you to truly work on connecting your breath to each and every move. Using the pranayama practice of Ujayi breath, as you move through this practice I want you to focus on finding that present moment by mimicking the sound of the ocean with each exhalation.

I saved this practice to do for my birthday today as a way to honor my sign as a water bearer. In doing so, you gifted us a beautiful African song in which I felt able to honor and connect with my lineage. This was very personal to me and I spend some time in a long savasana connecting with little me. Thank you to Echo and this community for showing up for you, and in turn creating ripples in the water that extend so incredibly far.

Beautiful practice. but it’s not an African water song, it’s from the Algonquin indigenous tribe of canada. It is sung as a call for activism against the privatization of water & endangerment of indigenous water. Just think it’s important to acknowledge & attribute correctly when borrowing from indigenous cultures. Much love 🤍
