After owning my 2004.5 Silverado 2500HD LT LLY Duramax for one year, here are the good, the bad, and the ugly:
The Good:
- Low milage (71,900)
- No Diesel Particulate Filter
- No DEF fluid needed
- 4WD
- Easy to work on these classic body style trucks
- Injectors are great
- Dark Spiral Gray Metallic
The Bad:
- Light switch went out (dash lights dark)
- Wiper fluid line broken
- Headliner peeling down
- Not a crew cab
- Rear window was once broken
- No lift pump
The Ugly:
- Factor camper style mirrors!!
- Gray & Black plastic bumper!!

That truck is identical to mine. I bought mine a year ago November. Runs great and pulls my inclosed 20' trailer like a champ

My 04 LLY has 430,000 on it and still runnning strong
I just bought a 05 lly 7 months ago has 212000 miles I bought it with 203000 it runs great they last forever if you take care of them

Oh and I put all led lights on mine too with sequential drl turn signals and the housings have projectors for the headlights and it has smooth led drls as well.

Super clean and nice, got an 03 lb7. 183k on it. No issues other then the original cp3’s in lb7’s being not so good. The lly cp3 they fixed the issues. So I have that in there now from bosh.
I love the LB7!!! Thats pretty low milage too!! Never sell that beast !

Hell yeah dude that's a clean truck, I have a same year Silverado 2500hd but mine isn't as nice lol. I've got the 6.0 and don't have 4wd either but I have an ext cab long bed like you. Mine is a w/t with a few options. I really wanted the lly and 4wd in a crew cab configuration. But my truck was used for the same thing towing a 5th wheel lol it had 83k ok it and I got it for 6800 cash. Probably the best deal I've ever gotten so far!
I believe that 6.0 Vortec is the most reliable V8 ever produced! Love those engines and wanted gas but couldn't say no to this Duramax. Sounds like you got a pretty sweet deal too! Rock on!
Beautiful truck, man! I'm hoping to find an '06 LBZ reg cab without tons of rust and miles... and under $1million, wish me luck!

Mine it is 2003 lb7 same color except mine it is short bed; I still like since first I bought; it has been a good truck… kinda if wanted install lift pump ; but I haven’t decide it yet…

That's all great but my questions are how does tow the camper? What are the temperatures? The noise level in the cabin? Also the ride quality
It tows 8000lbs like a dream! So much power and torque. I've taken it up the "Ike Gauntlet" / Eisenhower tunnel pass in Colorado which is the steepest highway in North America I believe, and the truck did amazing! Coolant temp always at 200F and trans temp around 150-200F. Noise level is loud but that's the way I like it! Ride quality is honestly better towing with the extra weight, otherwise the add a leaf is pretty rough around town. Thanks for watching!

@@605LIFE I have one , love it but ... I have 370,000kms . I have done a lot in replacement parts . In high demand for a old used truck. Still worth a ton. I love changing parts
