Absolutely gorgeous. That is a absolutely 1000% improvement over what it was. I can't wait to use my new Christmas presents 30" belt sander and drill press to restore some of my dad's tools as well as finish restoring a 1913 Weed Tire chain tool. Weed was the originator of metal tire chains. I got that from a coworker who works in tire industry. It belonged to his dad, but he didn't know what it was for! Thank you for having your channel so I can get all by ideas for restoring tools. You are my mentor!
Oh Christmas Dake oh Christmas Dake You bend it back When it ain’t straight. Merry Christmas Scoutcrafter. That wrench turned out great. Jeweling and candy apple paint are two of my favorites. Take care.
Thanks, J! Lots of good stuff in that. Makes you wonder how these things get bent.... I'm working on an old ENFO (English Ford) auto wrench similar to yours - hopefully get it up in a couple of weeks. Merry Christmas 🛠️👍🏻
What a Christmas present! Showing us the technique to save a tool AND make a museum piece! Merry Christmas to you! Thank you for the gift of your knowledge and caring so much about your viewers!
In the spirit of the season, I'm feeling generous, so I'll give you 4 bits for that junk wrench. Think about it, Scout, you'll double your money. Seriously, John, thank you so much for all you do for us during the year. May your days also be filled with happiness and, most importantly, good health.
Stocking hanger maybe?!? I feel like I am going to have to make a hanging shelf with the 20 of those I have laying around haha. Thanks for sharing today and Merry Christmas to you sir!!!
Came in late due to the holiday. Great job on this wrench. It really did look like a lost cause but you really came through in true Scoutcrafter style. Merry Christmas and thanks for all the wonderful videos. 🎄
When you said the guy that sold it to you said it was junk, I was thinking obviously he doesn't know you! No stress or worry, I had total faith that you would make it more than awesome and as usual you didn't disappoint! Nice job! Thank you for the Christmas present of a great tutorial...
I have the same wrench like yours. Mine is Snail brand, I cleaned it with wire wheel and oiled it and it is working great for my workshop. Merry Christmas and greetings from Croatia.
Merry Christmas John! Nice to see another impressive restoration. Thanks for the shout-out on the Mosh. FYI that 200 fl oz Tide bottle was designed on pencil and paper and was in production when I started at the company in 1998. I have worked on the development of almost all Tide bottles since then. 😀
You know James, I tend to find many things very interesting, like the invention of the no drip/return spouts on most detergent bottles today.. Ingenious design... No more dripping down the front of the bottle! Love your work- Really I do! =) Thanks much!
Merry Christmas John,Enjoyed the restoration of the old Wrench on this Christmas Day! The Paint Scheme of Red on one side and Green on the other reminded me of Red and Green candy canes that we got in our Stocking!God Bless!
ScoutCrafter I meant the next one scout. Didn’t you feature a vice a little while ago that you were thinking about restoring? Well you don’t need another one for practical reasons so why not go nuts? The full candy apple red, fully polished scoutcrafter special that nobody else has done yet.
This was a great video returning to the type you used to do that got me into being a restoration nut myself! I like everything you do, but this was a great trip down Scoutcrafter memory lane. People who think this is crazy (like I first did) just don;t get it! Happy New Year John and thanks for a great video. I hope you had a great Christmas and have a great New Year as well. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Lee- For me taking a worthless junk wrench and turning it into something fun to use and look at is a win/win situation... The funny thing is once people "get it" they are disappointed when I do just a regular restoration, they are looking for color and shine now! LOL!!!!!!
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones John. I really didn't expect you uploading a video today, but I was kind of hoping you would all day long. It is allready about 10.30 pm here, so our festivities are done for today. And I would definatly have sneaked out for one of your videos to be really honest. The wrench turned out great, I got a would handled crate opening tool/axe in the mail yesterday I hope to get started on soon. I look forward to that. This wrenchs just looks amazing! Thanks a lot, you are truly appreciated!!
That was an excellent restoration. You should bring that back to the flea market where you bought it and show it to the guy you bought it from and watch his eyes pop out of his head! Merry Christmas, thanks for all your videos.
What? No “BAMM”! On the two color reveal?! Was waiting patiently! LOL great job and video SC! Merry Christmas and many many thanks for all you have given to the subs!!!!!!!! Cannot thank you enough. Looking forward to the New Year and future videos and sharing.
Hi scout, nice job on that beat up wrench, at the workbench at Christmas! Now that's dedication to your hobby lol. Seriously though we realy apreciate what you do for us viewers, hope your having a great time, and best wishes to you and your's for the new year. Stuart uk.
Always like the auto and monkey wrench. Like the colors. Watched you at my brothers house on his big screen. He asked me who was the guy I am always watching. So we all watched you. Had fun and we all liked how it turned out. Just now had time to comment. A late Merry Christmas. Thanks
Awesome job ScoutCrafter! I needed this 15 minutes of "sanity" ! Now I got myself a bottle that they said "pairs well with difficult relatives" I'm gonna go finish it... Merry Christmas ScoutCrafter!
Merry Christmas Scout and everyone else in the community. I hope you all had a awesome one. Hard to believe it's been 3 years now that I found your channel and subbed. I learn something new every video. Thank you Scout very much for all the amazing content. Here's to many many more! Be safe out there everybody.
Amazing video scout it show so many skills you have mastered great to see the dake and flap disk in action wrench came up fantastic love the colors very Xmasy thank you so much for all you do for the channel and our tool community god bless merry Christmas 🎁🎄☃️🎁🎄🇳🇿👍🔪🔧🎊🎉
A quarter? That thing looks like a million bucks! Man, that is so pretty! I’m gonna clear a spot in my toolbox box and cross my fingers for a Holiday giveaway! Merry Christmas from one of your die hard fans.
Very nice and what a difference from how you got it. I have a load of monkey wrenches that need working on, I will be busy until next Christmas doing that lot! I like the idea of using them as a hanger. Merry Christmas once again.
I thought the wrench had plenty of character the way it started but I'd break the adjuster loose and pile it in my tote and the additives off the rest would keep the rust away BUT the shine/color IS nice. And Happy Smiley Day and Thanks, CS and Happy New Year directly!
@@ScoutCrafter Most of the stuff I have was trashed but not anymore! The money I put into it has saved my hide a lot more and a lot better than new stuff and the fix wasn't even the cost of a cover of a payment book! You did good!
Hi John merry Christmas hope your holiday was a good one. Thanks for restoring an old tool and bring it back to a new life. For a topic can you show us how you did the jeweling if you already haven’t done so in the past I’m very interested in learning the process.
Merry Christmas my friend. A fun, and practical functional restoration. I caught myself wondering if they ever made something akin to “candy apple black?” Real question - our generation loves candy apple freeking anything! Ho Ho Ho!
Merry Christmas ScoutCrefter. You sure gave that baby new life. Now go back and show the guy you bought it from, and tell him one guys trash is another guys treasure. 😃
That turned out real nice. I'm been working on a lathe like this wrench, truly not worth fixing! But hey, that's not why we do it right. Merry Christmas to you John.
Hi Noah- Lathe restoration is harder then it looks because you always wind up chasing accuracy and trying to determine how far you want to take it! I have seen guys restore South Bend lathes to better then new tolerances and if you added labor and parts costs they could have bought new! However when Old Iron is in mint shape it's unbeatable! =) Hope you will videotape some of the restoration!

Loving that candy paint. It’s becoming part of the scoutcrafter signature.
