Cleaning Rust Off Chuck using Fiber Laser

I got a CNC with 4th axis delivered from China and the Chuck was all Rusty. I was about to return it but saw a video where they used Fiber Laser to remove rust. So I tried it - and it worked amazingly well!
I needed to go around the Chuck two times. First time I hatched one direction and the second at 90dg. After 2nd round all rust was gone and a slight polish with some oil made the chuck look as new.
Very happy with the result.
Parameters used 10% Power (30W laser), 500mm/s, 20kHz

I would've returned it. You didn't get what was promised and not sending it back sends them a message that it's OK misstate the condition of a product. Also, don't forget your time and material you invested in making it acceptable.

I was so close to doing it and was actually in a dialog with the supplier. Then I get the inspiration to clean it by the laser -and it was kind of fun to do and see the result. Apart from that I fully agree w you
