I just got the klipsch 8000fii and they sound great right out of the box. My 280f need a little break in and sounded amazing . Love the clarity and separation of music that klipsch provides .

And for anyone mentally begging the question of whether you should save and get the 8000f gen 1 vs gen 2. The answer is no, unless you do not like speakers with proper driver matching and a huge dip at the crossover. These gen 2 8000f (ii) *or Z's 8060 ii in this video* are nothing like the first generation sound. The mid range now exists and isnt sucked out making everything sound harsh and scooped which really only works with acoustic music etc but nothing that has energy and complex loud dynamics. These gen2 klipsh speakers are damn near perfect including the 600m ii standmounts. Oh and btw the rf7 iii he talks about sucks because it has the same shit driver crossover matching as the gen 1 speakers. Thanks Z for talking about this gen2 RP line the way it deserves. The fact all the other reviewers acted like it was a subtle difference between generations made me realize tht don't have the ability to truly be telling anyone what the fuck to buy, generally speaking.

Me too. No way I could justify passing on them at this price. The seller’s stock was limited to Piano Black finish so that’s what I got. I would have done the same had they been unfinished MDF😂.
I got the RP280FA's for $650/pr brand new when the 8000's came out and could not be happier with that I got for that price. What you're saying about the RF7 III's vs the 8000F II series / 8060 is true ONLY if you connect both speakers to an amplifier thats has less than 250 watts. I've done the same. I connected both to the Bluesound Powernode 330, which has 80 watts per channel, and the 8000's sound better. I then changed to dedicated power amps running 350 watts a channel and the RF7s spliced through the air like lightning and thunder. Felt like a different speaker, the 8000's sounded the same as on the Powernode. Thats the difference. Youre not wrong, but youre definitely not right either. Its like putting ordinary gas in an F1 car and wondering why it drives shit. Needs the proper fuel to reach its proper potential 👌
I had these same speakers and upgraded to the RF7 III. The RF7s are better in every way. Much, much bigger soundstage, clarity and separation. Not even close. That’s my experience with my gear in my room.

I've got 4 of the rp-280fa plus 2 rp-280 speakers in my surround system and heard they sounded better then the rp-8060fa in an a/b comparison in a sound room.but for me I've not heard them.but do love the sound compared to my older rf-3 towers i had before.
The Atmos part is great… if that’s what you want.. but The Klipsch RP-8000F II is generally considered to be the better speaker and has higher reviews. It has been praised for its powerful sound quality, wide soundstage, and deep bass response. It has also been praised for its build quality and design. The RP-8060FA has also been praised for its sound quality, but it is not as well-rounded as the RP-8000F II. It does not have as deep a bass response, and it is not as powerful.
I picked up a pair of the RP8000FII for $1k and have been thoroughly impressed. They cant be beat for movies and are surprisingly good with music. Would recommend.

Ok, I have 2 pairs of Heresys, on of the pairs I have a mini dsp to get more low end but I love them unit Zeos talked me into these 8000f's. I bought the non-IIs for an unbelievable price. The arrived today. and WOW. Only issue with them was the bottom woofer on one is kinda coming out of the cabinet. Amazon is going to replace it, But the sound is still amazing!!! I have one question, do these need a breakin period?
Your basement looks like a German bunker where a machine gun should be mounted at each of those windows. Kind of like the bunker in Saving Private Ryan.
Both are on sale but the original RP-8060FA are listed at a higher reg price $1399 vs 8060FAii for $1199. I thought the ii were considered an upgrade??
For the price they are pretty solid. I sold mine for the current gen RF7 then sold the RF7 for the third gen Cornwall. These for sure do good with solid state amps if they have a lot of power on tap. My issue is the tweeters ring like a mfer. They have a metallic nature to them when they're played louder than 80 ish db. Low mids are also a tad muddy. but then again I'm also the same idiot who prefers third gen Cornwalls over the fourth gen. If you can't be in the same room as an ultra sonic record cleaners you should not buy these. If you've ever shot without ear protection or spent a lot of time around heavy equipment chances are you'll like these a lot. If you are sensitive to metallic sounds over 8k you should not buy these. You could tube these or go old school class A, but the detail is lost in a two way like this. The RF7's tweeter for sure is more composed, but I get what you're saying about the benefits of the 8 inch woofers. The 10 inch woofers on the RF7 are a bit slow and sloppy.
*If you've ever shot without ear protection or spent a lot of time around heavy equipment* That's me on both then. TBH though the titanium tweeters initially impress with detail but can still get fatiguing, even with my tinnitus.
Your tweeters should not be ringing and the kids should be amazing on any heritage line speaker. You might have a problem somewhere down the chain or speaker itself or ears perhaps no disrespect. I’m pretty sure the bigger a woofer is the better it will do whatver frequency it is crossed over to do except quickness ofcourse will suffer the bigger you get.
@@daveycrockett5738I’ve had 3 different klipsch speakers that all touted the titanium tweeter. They’ve been powered by a handful of different amps with the same problem. These tweeters are bright and become fatiguing at higher volume. As for the woofer issues, I don’t think it’s the driver that’s the problem. I think it’s sloppy because the cabinet is not braced or dampened well enough. They create a lot of pressure that the cabinet struggles to keep together. I not sure what you mean by bringing up heritage speakers. These are not heritage speakers.
@@bigchimpin4215 maybe if you’re talking about klipsch from the 90s I’d understand but current klipsch products do not suffer from ringing in the tweeters I think most people would agree. Ofcourse at high volumes any speaker will start to loose its composure but klipsch will hold better than most. What do you mean Cornwall are not heritage speakers, you mentioned you had rf7iii and sold them for heritage line cornwalls gen 2 or 3 and those r heritage. You shouldn’t be having problems with the cabinet especially with the heritage line speakers they build them by hand and are quite inert and built in the USA. They should be braced quite nicely. Ofcourse there more well built and braced speakers out there but those are no slouch. Trust me I’ve researched many klipsch speaker including all the rf7 line and heritage line for years you should not be hearing a ringing like I said unless it is a problem with your ears or the drivers or something is possibly loose in the cabinet or your room might be very bright. Ofcourse klipsch speakers with there horn and compression drivers will be quite lively but I wouldn’t qualify them as bright as bright to me is something that is harsh to the ears which you can get there but only at very high volumes. Ofcourse finding the right amp will also help. You can run them with very low power but most klispch speaker like lots of good clean power just depends on your personal preference but I would try both and see what u like more.
Wow thanks very much yes one of the finest works of audio to examine speakers by ... Now you got to listen to the stuff that's coming out of Japan remastered live for 5.1 or Blu-ray audio.. It'll put a dent somewhere that you just simply will never be able to retract from it's awesome..
Hello Mr Z. I know this video is 5 months old & a different Klipsch speaker as well. Can I ask you a question, Have you heard of the Klipsch rp -500mk 2 reference book shelf speakers because I've never owned any kind of Klipsch speaker. I listen to ANY kind of music except pop & heavy metal. Please help me out. Thank you. 👍🏻
I have the Kanto Tuk's as my computer speakers along with the matching subwoofer.....was debating whether or not to move the system to the TV and use for movies etc.....do you think that set up is enough for a 12 x 15 ft room ? or would it be better to get the fives and would they be enough or the sevens or the nines for my TV speakers and add a 12 inch sub ? ANYONE can respond....great video by the way....thx....cheers from Canada
My only experience with klipsch are my Klipsch R-15Ms. Not at all ideal, but they work for speakers. I've become accustomed to monitors that make every layer and detail of music clean, distinguishable, and mix beautifully, though I haven't experienced that in any speakers yet. Do speakers like that exist? With the layout, it looks like they're trying to get that effect at least.
I dig the review, but the best speaker is the one that sounds best to the listener. IMO, the best Klipsch speaker is the la Scala. Just my opinion though. For home theater, the 8060 with the Atmos speaker built in, is probably a better choice. It's just like the saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Same thing but for your ears. Keep it up man. Love the videos !
@@luism8612 Hard to say, I've only dabbled a bit into home theater. But for a smooth, if not slightly warm and easy going sound I'd go with Marantz. The important part is having pre outs for your channels of choice so you can get whatever amp you want down the line
Folks I’m going to be honest I started out with the RP series when it first launched and went down the rabbit hole of all rabbit holes. I’m so past the home theater phase and now into hifi 2 channel. You want excellent sound get yourself a pair of bookshelves 2k and up with an integrated amp 3k and up and you’ll be on the right track. Blowing this level of audio out of the water.
Lmfao, definitely not, in certain situations, and depending on the class of amplification, expensive doesn't mean better, I've bought plenty of high end, and I have plenty of speakers costing less that perform better...
Well I saw a pair.. the metal blade feet have a soft material adhered to the underneath, but not thick enough so easy to miss this detail. I wish it were three times as thick. I'd be putting them on pads too.
instead of reminding you about your promise for the gaming fidelity video, I'll be asking about the sim pedals. how is that situation goin, gotten the new mobo for them?
Please would you finally hook up the atmos speakers from the same stereo signal as the mains for top firing stereo , I think you are missing something special .
These speakers are Nutso❤ so good...Even great...have 4 rp280fa's...There's no reason to upgrade to any of the temptations of speaker options..endgame for meh...maybe...fyi...feed them "clean" power & isolators and they do crush b&w
I have the RX7s and they are workhorses but they take up a lot of real estate in the room. I like the idea of a smaller more powerful speaker but I’m not impressed by the atmos crap at the top. We watch a lot of movies and never use the atmos feature. I think it makes my speakers sound somewhat muted and we have a 7.2 system with B&W 804s on the front.
Zeos ! : Your Fans appreciate you giving us multiple sources of Music. And pushing the 7- second envelope. Does this mean that you like these speakers?
What's the difference between the RP-8060FA and the RP-8060FA II? The originals are $200 cheaper. I'm aware you're talking about version II here, but what if anything makes them better?
I thought the RP8000f were pretty good but they lacked bass definition. The JBL 590s had much more detailed bass but were also harsher in the highs. I had both in the same room to compare against my JBL 4367.
These are the first generation rp8060fa speakers and they are absolutely wonderful they're actually heavier than the second edition and I have a hell of a lot more oops all the way around both high middle and low end
Why can't you use royalty/copyright free music (like from a service) to play longer samples on this channel? (My apologies if this has been asked and answered.) Love your reviews, btw.
Because that would make me sad. Plus I need to find flac downloads and then PRAY that the owner in 2 years doesn't decide to make it copyright and steal revenue. Which is a thing pricks do.
Great review, I enjoyed it. I am choosing between the 8000F ii and the 8060 FA ii. I haven't found any comparison videos or articles comparing the two sonically. Focus is usually on the addition of Atmos. Specs are all the same, so I am hoping someone can point me to a good source of information that compares the two. Thanks, Greatly Appreciate It!
Homie. Listen to me hang on to those rf7 speakers. One day you will find the right amp or dac or room what the heck ever you need to enjoy those speakers. They’re worth it. And they will crush those 8060 🤦
better than rp600m,, if u can sit 3m away from these 8000f2,,,, kick ass dynamic,,,need over 100 hours burn in as klipsch says,,, now we use with tube integ amp... unison simply italy,,,, marantz cd6007,,, furutech wires,,, lifting 8000f2 off the floor, putting on trolley,,, will reduce bass below 200hz by 2-3 db....good for us,,, many ref recordings cd,,, etc...
I do love my RP-8000f II's but I still prefer the bigger sound of the JBL Studio 590's... I would say neither better than the other, they are just different flavors of if you want the musicians centered between you and the speakers... or do you like them up and behind the wall that is behind your speakers. I notice the sound can wrap around me better with the 590's I have them hooked to a Douk VU3 fed by a Sansui 2000 and 4000.
@@69camaro19 that’s great to hear for anyone looking for an amazing sound at a good price and even a few years back when I bought mine I was extremely happy to get them for the price I paid! They punch WAY above their weight, easily compete with speakers that cost 2 to 3 times as much
8000Fs were playing at local Nebraska Furniture Mart, and they had sounded a bit brash to me. But, they are more than acceptable at their price point. Black Friday price was really good. Just not my cup of tea. I prefer my Wharfedale Diamond towers as I already have more expensive Martin Logans that are more lively, the Wharfedales are more laid back. I would have looked at Cornwall IVs if I could afford them
So I bought some rp-280f speakers years ago from nfm. I definitely thought they were a tad harsh in the beginning but as soon as they got bi-amped it toned them WAY down.
I had the 280f’s for years too and moved on to Martin Logan TXi 60’s. The Klipsch were a great speaker for HT but got to be a bit shrill to my old ears for music. I much prefer the ribbon AMT’s in the Martins. A much more balanced all around speaker especially for stereo listening. I like the real red oak veneer on them too!
holy! moly! 10 years awesome that was Klipsch. my 2 Klipsch powered bass speakers have failed amps 1 in 6 months 1 in 8 months at 850.00 you would expect 10 years life expectancy but Klipsch was sold to a Chinese company and now it is all Chinese parts. literally 1000s have experienced this. tried multiple times to contact Klipsch with no results. and no replacement parts we can find so i no longer recommend Powered Klipsch,, also latest technical look at what they are pumping out is not good. i have 12 passive klipsch, not the best sound through the scale but at least they are not $850.00 bricks
Those Fluid Audio Image 2's are just getting in the way now, and I can relieve you of that problem and free you of this senseless burden you insist on torturing yourself with.
I have a pair of these 8060 Faz in piano black I love them. Left Right center are the 625 Fa and then the 600m 2 as surround and height In a room which is 45 ft long 30 ft wide what's 10 ft ceilings.. And it all rocks the house and moves the foundation exactly where I wanted it any particular moment. Princeton's play Grand funk red live album through that system and you'll know you will on the softer side play something like yes topographic oceans.. and you'll know more of why. And for some fairly frighteningly beautiful additions add and listen through to Alan Parsons project tales of mystery and imagination.. and you will be rocking your world in your neighbor's world and everyone else in the world who comes within 200 ft of where the system sits.. the speaker system will handle anything you can feed it.. as an example. Running a 300 watt * 9 channel amp pure Sonic beauty.. your ears will thank you and your brain will pervy gladness and joy...
8060'$ pound concrete into sand.. Put two pair of these in your playroom and you will understand and know what Sonic beauty is all the way around and around and around and around and around. Use the 600 m Mark 2 to finish that 7 channel system or 9 channel system you will not regret it. It's truly the end game. But remember you will have to warn your neighbor's of pending thunder and lightning claps.😂😂😂😂❤
Homie u lost me with you not liking the new jubilees… the 8060 are probably a better fit for your room and or your ears and or your amps. I hear the room makes a big difference and to get a speaker to you room but man I just wanted the best. Trust me the rf7iiis are awhile nother beast and if you had a better suiting room for them and amp you’d chances are much more than the 8060s. But I’m glad you like those so much and they sound so good in your room and ears. Wouldn’t it be dope if they made rfiiis with an atmos speaker in them??!!? Sometimes the things you say I think make since to you in your mind but aren’t true lol.. also the tweeter in the 7s is 1 3/4 inch and 8060 is 1imch so they’re bigger and better well they cost quite a bit more. Everything in the 7s is built to a higher standard and being hand built as I think u know. How much power do those mono blocks push out, also what did you power the 7s with. They excel with loads of power. They recommend 250watts minimum per channel higher the better per your preferences ofcourse. News flash they’re by far no where near the best. Maybe with a perfext room for those speakers n amp you could say best for money with your personal preference but hard to say. I’m sure they’re very nice. I remember my cheap rf52ii klipsch floor standing speakers and absolutely loved them and was in awww for about a decade with them. I find it fascinating diff peoples personal preferences. Makes the world great. Ps not being sarcastic. You should try the new Marten Logan motion f200 or 300 or something heard they’re really nice. One day I hope you can get the 7s in there full glory to understand just how much better they are than the 8060s

*If you've ever shot without ear protection or spent a lot of time around heavy equipment*
That's me on both then.
What do you think about the klipsch rp-280fa?? Thank you!!
Those Klipsch the 8060 are $4800 AUD basically the only somewhat affordable Klipsch towers are the RF 6000 line.
Their flagship RF 7 III are 10k
Wow thanks very much yes one of the finest works of audio to examine speakers by ... Now you got to listen to the stuff that's coming out of Japan remastered live for 5.1 or Blu-ray audio..
It'll put a dent somewhere that you just simply will never be able to retract from it's awesome..
I’m still rocking my original Definitive Technology BP-10’s. Still sound great.
I agree! Im still running my def tech b20s that i bought new in 93!!!
@@brooklynknightss nice! I believe I got mine the same year. Can’t remember though it’s so long ago 🤣.
Thank you. 👍🏻
So are these the Mkii’s your reviewing? Your link to the speakers is for the Mkii’s
Are you saying no more "murder horn" tweeter?
Correct
I have the Klipsch f200 with the dual 6 1/2 woofers. They sound great, can't imagine how the 8000s sound.
But they sound very well with a subwoofer for TV. 👍🇩🇪
If you’re not using a full Atmos surround system do the top firing speakers do anything?
Hey man, i have these on oak wood and don't have any problem with them scratching it
Torn between these and the Polk R700s for my 3.1 channel HT project. Hope you get to review the polks someday.
What avr would you recommend that also sounds good for stereo music
@@luism8612 Hard to say, I've only dabbled a bit into home theater. But for a smooth, if not slightly warm and easy going sound I'd go with Marantz. The important part is having pre outs for your channels of choice so you can get whatever amp you want down the line
i look forward to the reviews on THE SEVENS and THE NINES if your doing them.....cheers...love your reviews well done...cheers from Vulcan Canada
The amazon link for the 8060 is version II but the link for the regular 8000 is version 1. Is this review for the version 2?
So.. Up fire the same as front.. HRMMMM
Bro really started the video with the Home Depot theme LMAO
What's the difference between the RP-8060FA and the RP-8060FA II? The originals are $200 cheaper. I'm aware you're talking about version II here, but what if anything makes them better?
I thought the RP8000f were pretty good but they lacked bass definition. The JBL 590s had much more detailed bass but were also harsher in the highs. I had both in the same room to compare against my JBL 4367.
Waiting for my 8000fii. Bout to explode with anticipation.
Are these the Mkii you're reviewing or originals?
They should sound identical. Since the void on top for the Atmos is the only real change physically.
@@ZReviews thanks for getting back to me, I really appreciate it!
Thanks!
Klipsch on a tube amps usually is magical
Hey Z, the RP-8000F or RP-8000F II's ?
these are the new ones 2nd generation
what is the difference?
I notice the sound can wrap around me better with the 590's
I have them hooked to a Douk VU3 fed by a Sansui 2000 and 4000.
Anyone with the 8000’s whether gen 1 or 2’s are very lucky to own them… they’re amazing!!
Gen 1's are really cheap now.
@@69camaro19 that’s great to hear for anyone looking for an amazing sound at a good price and even a few years back when I bought mine I was extremely happy to get them for the price I paid! They punch WAY above their weight, easily compete with speakers that cost 2 to 3 times as much
Just ordered the 8000F for $349, cant wait..
How you compare them to the nines?
Are these the Premier version of the Reference 625?
holy!
Wonder how these would work with Crown amps ! ?
The onces i own glad to hear its the best
Maranz or whatever they called as amps goes well with that speakers . I tried them and they sound great
Marantz
@@ZReviews correct ...
I would definitely retry the 7s with that system!
Heads up Z... your link is to the 8000F and not the 8000Fii Great review tho' !!
How would these do in a vaulted ceiling
Have mark ones if dimensions didn't changed 8060 are deeper than non atmos towers...I think it helps with sounding "more better" dunno...
I would love to hear a side by side with the RF 7s.
Love my 8000s

My RF7-II's made in Hope, Arkansas beg to differ.
Love what you said at 27 min mark. Just woke up and that gave me the best laugh. But this video is actually blasphemous
What do the red squares and diamon mean?
Those Fluid Audio Image 2's are just getting in the way now, and I can relieve you of that problem and free you of this senseless burden you insist on torturing yourself with.
Great speakers but I'm too obsessed with my Triangle 40th anniversary cometes to ever switch
Nice review and video…I think a subwoofer is just waiting in the wings 😎
The 14" needs its day
Absolutely 👍
I have a pair of these 8060 Faz in piano black I love them.
Left Right center are the 625 Fa and then the 600m 2 as surround and height
In a room which is 45 ft long 30 ft wide what's 10 ft ceilings..
Bought a Klipsch "The One", probably the best speaker I've ever owned, just amazing. Bye, bye Bose.
Am I the only one with old sets of 4 KLF 30…these are my wall shakers😂
I wish JTR would send you a pair of Noesis 215's
Ok for a small room, 14x16??? PLEASE say yes?!
2 --8"? Your mom is interested!!
Theres a pair for £1500 in uk @ peter tyson seem a steal
Geeet ooon with iiiitttt!!!
I owned a klipdch speakers made in Hope Arkansas USA
