  • Gear up for a bit of a dive into my thoughts and ramblings on the Article 1 from Heretic Labs. Built specifically with speedsofters in mind by the boys from Wolverine, this speedgun looks and plays the part.
    But is this speedgun worth the hefty price tag?

    Hey! Thanks a lot for your review! You have the gorilla triggerboard in there. Any particular reason you choose the gorilla over the Gate Titan II?

    • @AirsoftMax-EU
      @AirsoftMax-EU  2 месяца назад

      Very simple answer, the Gate Titan II is a V2 only board, there is no way to get it to fit in or work with the Article 1 as it does not have a gearbox. I do own a handful of Titan IIs that I use in some other builds though.

    How do you take off the cap on the barrel, mine have glue on it, it’s really hard to take it off

    • @AirsoftMax-EU
      @AirsoftMax-EU  3 месяца назад

      It's reverse threaded, but if yours has been glued then try heating it up with a heat gun and you will then be able top remove it.

    Hi, i was thinking of saving up just for a polarstar jack hpa engine, i was thinking of transforming my aeg to hpa but am honestly getting second thoughts of just selling it and buying this. Would you recommend switching it?

      i meant switching my aeg speedsoft gun to this gun

      The easy of use and out of the box performance make it a winner in my book. Despite some of the minor issues, it's a solid buy if you wan to avoid any alignment issues.
      I have a couple of V2 and V3 builds and some were perfect first time, and some took a bit of time to get running flawlessly. But, if you already have an AEG they are the cheaper option. The Jack is a decent engine, and you can take it out and put it into the next gun.

    i just took out my triggerboard to tune trigger, now it wont shoot. worried i fried the board, any tips will help if you have any

      @AirsoftMax-EU  3 месяца назад

      It might just be a simple case of you tested it with the lower and upper separated. The pressure on the board is completely different once you put it back together again. You will need to back out the microswitch screw and see it is works when you put it back together again.
      If that screw is flush, then the pre-travel screw needs to be backed out a bit (though usually this isn't an issue as the safety should prevent it touching the switch).
      If it was installed in the gun with a battery connected and you accidentally touched the board with your allen key then you could have fried it. I always make sure the battery is not connected when I make any adjustments.

      @AirsoftMax-EU i was using it with battery thinking it would be easier. I might have possiblly hit one of the metal squares on triggerboard, didnt hear anything no smoke or smells. But i put everything back together no response. If the chance it's shorted which it probably is what are my options. Just a new board or can a resolder anything? I havent been able to find a board thats article one by itself. I found the mtw one but not sure compatibility between the systems

      @@munchrmx ah yeah that might have done it. It's hard to say which component died if it truly did short.
      Do you have a multimeter? If yes you can remove the board, put the prongs in the springs (the ones connecting the board to the upper) and you can test if the board sends a current when you push the switch.
      Alternatively, you can ghetto it and just push the board against the contact yoke on the upper and see if the solenoid activates.
      The boards are exactly the same, the only difference is the binary mode on the one found in the Article 1.
      Open up a support ticket with Wolverine and see if they can do anything for you. I have had pretty good experiences with them so far.

      Will probably have a look in thr morning and test the board. If not i have friends who are techs who will probably enjoy tinkering with it.

    what type of battery dose it use

    • @AirsoftMax-EU
      @AirsoftMax-EU  3 месяца назад

      You need a small 250mAh or 300mAh 7.4v battery. It needs a JST connector, which is the standard for all HPA guns.

    What’s the highest fps this gun can reach?

    • @AirsoftMax-EU
      @AirsoftMax-EU  2 месяца назад

      According to Wolverine/Heretic Labs it should hit up to 1.65j (420 FPS) out of the box with .20g. But I have never hit 420 FPS with a stock Article 1.
      I got around 380 FPS with mine, which is playable for outdoors and way over for indoor play.
      The newer Article II comes with a longer inner and outer barrel, which will allow you to achieve higher FPS.
