The behind the scenes and tech is what's been missing. Keep on keeping on Justin. Great work
Kyles everywhere with their dads duramax be like
Stay tuned, on next episode i'll try to strech my stupidity up to 17 inch
lol lol one slight issue with that its epically past 17 inches of stupidity
😂😂😂
The lighter the car the faster..fat driver ,slower car.Should go to 18
13 minutes of video...40 seconds of results
That sums up most of youtube in 2019
Cost me $2500 dollars. Proceeds to use a screw driver 🤷🏼♂️
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. More is not always better.
Cool video nonetheless.
Nice job keep up the good work. Being a fan of racing I like your vision on bringing content showing other aspects of what it takes for you and your team to race.🤙
So glad u started a RUclips channel. I've followed your racing for a long time now. Only thing missing from these videos that I love is the shit talking you and your pops can shit talk with the best of them! And then back it up too! So dont hold nething back let it rip on here when u calling out people or shit talking. We dont mind lol. But other than that glad to get to see more in depth behind the scenes of yalls racing program. Good job tho keep the vids coming. Good information cause I was thinking of going to radials but didnt wanna buy more new rims so glad to know they fit on a 15 x 16 so my 15x15s won't be a problem.
I love his dad you never know what is gonna come out his mouth he is hilarious
@@Stevesbe you said that right all 3 of them are funny as hell. But his dad will says some shit you ain't ever herd before an not give a damn what nobody thinks. lmao.
That is fucking awesome! And you're right...don't hold back... We don't need more PC people out there! Keep up the good work brotha!
awesome This is really smart for a real consitent tire and flat patch. The minimum optimal tire recommended for a 15x16 is a 375 . 6 sizes up. GM would put a single size up from recommended maximum optimal at 415. however for drag car it works for a consistent tire behavior and has reduced movement really as far as laying a flat patch. all suspension adjustment with less pillow cushion. i would use a 15x13 for a street car with 315. but there is all kinds of leeway to be had. What works good is what works good. And what works in a predictable way works good. They're putting 275's on a 14" wide so why not. 315 is 4 sizes up so i expect it to work great on a 16" wide wheel yall. This is awesome.
Love your videos! Would like when the cars are done to do a full onboard pass and a explanation on how you set up your nitrous and other nitrous related stuff
Why wouldn't you just put a wider Tire on it you would get more rubber on the ground
Class limited I guess
@@chevydyall7619 then i can understand what he means by wider rim is better, usually these tires are run with pretty low pressure, so i suppose it sags a little and definitly when launching digs in so much itll pull the sidewall in flat to the ground, so yeah, he would have more rubber touching the ground.
Can't run small tire than
Loving the Channel Dog want to see more Brian in the videos he seems like he's a freaking hoot to be around
the algorithm is working exceptionally well
wouldnt run it that way on a bet..talk about a compromised sidewall
How is the sidewall compromised?
Justin I love your channel...I just lost my leg so I hope u are coming to Texas some day I would like to see u kick some ass..
Congratulations you took all the side wall flex away and didnt do anything to help your self should have just put 325s or 345s on them
You clearly dont understand why you should be stretching radials or slicks on drag wheels
@@BehindTheBandana Or, understand that there are no larger sizes in a Pro Bracket Radial.
Can you tell me why you didn't buy the proper rims for the proper Tire
Smh. Wheels. This isnt basketball bud.
It's wheels and because stretched tires look badsss
You get more of a contact patch when you stretch it
So when you are drag racing the tire will expand so why would you stretch the tire if you want a wider contact patch buy a wider tire. Seems like a great way to blow out a tire and look gay doing it.
mike gingrich cause he’s running small tire class.... if he gets bigger tires he can’t race in his class. Simple really
This channel is gonna get big
I agree, the behind the scenes stuff was lacking on here and that's where its at for the real hardcore guys.
Man it looks like you can fit 2 of them radicals on that damn rim
Here's an old timer's trick for you. Get some of those syringes used for irrigating a dog's ear. They have a funny loking curved snout on them, they don't take a needle. They are for squirting medicine in their ears, or for cleaning them out.
Fill them with Never Seez. They squirt out a nice fine bead, and because of the curve, make it easy getting inside a nut or hole, and around a bolt. You can cut the end to get a bigger bead, but to quote someone, don't go hog wild cutting it off.
Why are you trying this? What advantage does the wider wheel give you? I know nothing about drag radials, why were they created? I was drag racing in the '60 & '70's; things have changed JUST a bit, since then... LOL
"Damn dad gonna be mad" ha ha!!
Looks like you’ve achieved more surface area! More tire to the track!!! Awesome
Not only does it look bad, the 15in to be the perfect size 4 sidewall use and maximum footprint. Now you have lessened the overall diameter of the tire and probably unloaded the center of the tire. I wouldn't use it stick with the 15 by 15, it was perfect
You don't follow racing do you?.... Very common to do and isn't slowing them down any noticable amount.. and they can still run the class they want..
@@freedomfox8183 you don't read before you comment do you? He claims he's the first one to do this so "very common", I doubt. And I'm simply saying the 15inch rims are the most common choice probably because it's the best choice, I'd stick with that, it works and looks to be the perfect size for that tire.
Did the wider wheel change the circumference of the tire? If so whats the difference between the 15" wheel to the 16" wheel? I really dig the channel keep up the good work. Get the new car done and start calling out them fools.
You geta bigger contact patch plus it will allow you to run a little bit more air pressure and that will help top end stability.
We're over here on the west coast we have a pro mod bickel camaro we run in top sportsmen. look in to step up the engine game a lil bit run some local pro mod stuff man I love the videos bro always rootn for home team
Epic Cheddar 76 hit me up; got 903 musi for sale, been 3.71
@@JustinSwanstrom69 yea bro ill holler at you tomorrow im just like you got to wheel deal im tryin to get rid of 865 inch sonny motor right now 1 system on it just freshed
Love the behind the scenes look at drag racing
Videos are good man...keep it up.
Or, you could get the proper size tires and have a bigger contact patch to the ground. Just sayin...
Then he wouldn't be able to race in any of his classes.
Then what's the point of a bigger rim
Fuck me you hurt my brain. He’s SMALL TIRE RACING. More stretch ideally means more contact patch outta the 315 radial he has to run.
@@shitboxcertified1469 not exactly, im not an expert by any means, but to me it looks like the contact would be better on the 15' stretch, all the 16' is doing is puting more pressure, strain, and possible earlier damage to the side wall, aka THE THINNEST AND MOST CRUCIAL PART OF THE TIRE, but who knows, maybe its better
Slipin Sidwayz the way you’re thinking of it makes sense, but who knows, not to mention the outer edge of a radial where it meets the sidewalk is thick so possibly it’ll give a tiny bit more contact patch
Looks nice keep up the great vids ☝
That should be good enough for 2 tenths more ! Go run a 3.50 now !!!
Ok Justin just subbed up...I like the all around content...at the track, in your car, in the garage...just keep us out the Porta Johns...Scotty
Idk bro!!!.. Take your 15×15s for back up
New viewer like what I see keep the videos coming!
I take it those are going on a VW golf?
😂😂😂
Now to figure out how to change the camber on a solid rear axle to complete the hella flush look
I'd like to know how many people questioning his decision for the wheel/tire combo have been sub 1 second 60', or sub 4 in the 1/8th?
Used to run a top alcohol dragster from 2010-17, and run a top sportsman "camaro" on radials alot. This doesnt aid in any way. I had a rear end made so it didnt look "stupid" and can run on a 10 inch wheel. Radials actually hook better with more side wall being used.
@@ScooterLee-ei1epI believe your results, and theory, but this guy's flyin. I think he's doin it because this is the max tire allowed in a class or something. Probably just trying to get every bit of real estate from that particular tire to the pavement I'm guessing. I agree about the sidewall too, I'm just nowhere near fast enough to tell this guy what's up in any way, lol.
I was always taught copper on aluminum and stainless, silver on everything else. Either way is usually worked for me 😆 whatever is handy at the time.
Justin looks like you’ve learned the hard way with the anti seize lmbo my old mans a diesel mechanic he thought me the same thing years ago. Question, how Dow you scale out your car and set up the suspension for a no prep race? Well, idk if you have different setups for prep or no prep it doesn’t matter. Great video that was a great trick👍🏻👍🏻💯💯
we want a build series of the new car
Nitrous give us detailes on your pressure. How much you purge how many bottles a night. Stevie used ton purge 15 pounds before a pass what do you do
every inch counts. In some parts of the video if you didn't know what was happening you would have thought it was a porno.
What a legend
Shouldn't you tighten the bead lock bolts in a star pattern or something? Kinda like you do lugnuts
Have found that it doesnt do much.
Every damn MM utilized! Cant wait to see results good or bad. I see your thinking. mine's in cart waiting to click buy if yours works.
lay a straight edge across both tires.
My gosh !! Nice !!
Not sure how streatching helps with traction but it looks so bad it’s almost cool
Why didnt you tighten them in a star pattern? And why did you use an impact gun on them right after you stressed not to to damage the bolts? Error code 42069: logic not found
Edit: I didnt want to waste my time watching the while video so I skipped to the end, and god damn it looks awful. Please don't use those, stick with the old setup
bsod 01e !!!but instead increase intelligence
Because you can set the torque on the impact, below spec, then go back later and hit them with a torque wrench. And looks have never won a single race.
When we testing them new wheels out?
Question is that tire a pro bracket radial or a pro drag radial
I figured you would have tightened those beadlocks in a cross-hatch pattern. You would know better than me but that seems to make sense. Right?
Todd Bearden when I torque them I do, I was just getting beadlock down on rim but yes I do when I torque them
That mas asome , you make it posible my respect to you , I hope work for your project
Awesome...what size rim would you recommend for 275 60 15 MT R??
Just subbed. Great content!
Looks sooo nice bro
Anything u but up I no I'll check it out for sure
Can you tell me why so much wider than the tread
Why not? Guys have been running a 275 on a 15x15, for quite a while.
Now i dont shit bout radial but it kinda look like the tread width is the same but u stretched the shit outta the sidewall on that bank, dont look like u gaining anymore tread width doing that.I dont know bro hope that shit work for u seem sketchy to me.keep doing u though! Dont worry bout anyone else say. Ill be watching your channel no matter what.its straight.
That tire looks like a donuts.
How does it perform though. May look great but if it dont perform isnt worth shit then. Hope it does for ya.
I am new to ur channel. Not new to the game!! Little dab will do yha!!! Do work ol son!!!
they look like oversized go kart tires
I like the videos but would like to see a little bit more racing.
Interesting video.. what tire and rim size do you run on the no prep car? Would the same theory apply to a slick tire, as I'm limited to a 9 inch tire in the class I run in...
Yes, same theory applies. Back in the hay day of Outlaw10.5, Most everyone ran a 15 x 16, on the 33x10.5. Tubes will also help reduce the flex of the sidewall, on a slick.
I don’t like how to run is wider than the tires
What's the point of that? Wouldn't that just make the car heavier?
When that good weed kicks in"
So how did this tire work out? Are you still using it?
Are you going to Lapeer to mess with Jimbo and Randy?
I have been watching u on the internet for ever I was at Piedmont when u had the spill in the tang can not what to c the new cars can not what I no u r ready to get back in ur office
Is it safe though? How did it go testing
Looks like a really large ricer tire with it stretched like that. LOL 😂
Great job 👍
Do you not torque the beadlocks in a star pattern increasing each pass? Just curious as I just got my first set.
Idk if he knows but a tire machine wont help you stretch a tire with that big of a gap
So can a 275 go on a 14 then tricky lol
seen it done on john doc's channel 275-60 on a 15X14 with beadlock
Always remember your ant-eye-seize! 🤓
Dam u ack like u have done that a time or too lol
Nice video
Didnt jon doc do this on his channell a while back ?
Sorry he did a 275 on a 14 in wide
I mean jd put a 275 on a 14" wide
Cool lil vid none the less keep it pushin
Justin the O.G jd is a fucking no nothing about car biatch
His dad should be proud of him but calls him stupid on the regular
Nice!
Fast forward to 13:00.
Or watch a guy mumble and fumble through a tire install.
What size is it?
I came up with the idea that I wanted to be a little bit different than others. Huh?
I get why you did it...but wouldn’t that change the rollout an the hight of the 315 ? I’m just curious no need to bash me ...
I think so too
It definitely screws with the roll out
I’ve thought about it for a min but it might help as far as how you apply the power to the ground and chassis movement
But I could be wrong...
The wider the tire get. The smaller in diameter it gets.. The bigger the tire the more rotation. The faster on top end. Smaller diameter might be faster on bottom end but will be tapped out on top end is how im looking at it..and another thing is the stress on the walls of the tire.. Stretching it three inches and putting 2000 hp to it. Lol. Idk..
if you were smart you would put anti seized into the thread holes instead of the bolt lol
Wow that is a stretch...
the point to this bs is ???? anyone ...anyone....bueller
Larger contact patch
Why would you?...... wouldn't act as intended
Still have the small contact patch. Dumb ass idea
Build series
Ricers been doing this for years 😂😂
I see a blow out on the big end. It's not going to be pretty .
Bet you won’t put it on the car
They wouldn't even let you line up like that
That's funny. They let him line up like that every time he takes it to the track.
Why??
Why would you do that???
Where do you get your money. Just to blow it on oversized wheels. Waste of money. Less traction slower car
Wouldn't putting a wider tire on that rim give u more contact patch aka more grip and more side wall flex at launch I am not a pro racer this is just my opinion please correct me if I'm wrong as I honestly don't know
Least your not runing them on a rear wheel drive race car.......>.> ........Right?....🤣🤣🤦♀️
Big Badass drag racer guy ain't got a tire machine. Wtf kind of shit is that?
