I’m so glad to see this vlog after knowing Bear is well on his way to recovery.
On camera Stevie’s braids look great!
It’s hard to tell on video how they are placed but since Kate’s leg might be a little long for Stevie it might help if Kate moved her Spurs up a bit

Thank you!! 😊 Yes, it was quite a Summer, and has been a long recovery. You can see all the details on Instagram and TikTok if you don’t want to wait for the updates in videos here… but I will definitely be posting them here as well for those that don’t have access to other social media apps. I was posting updates in real time there because I only had my phone while I was sitting beside him 24/7 during his bed rest.

@@BarnBootsandCountryRoots will you be explaining in the videos what his actual injury was? I think I’ve missed that

Yes, it was awful. Luckily, Bear is still with us ❤️. I will be posting updates here as I go through the videos from the summer, but you can also see all the updates right away if you go to our Instagram Reels or TikTok (I was posting updates for our followers there as it was happening - all the details are in the descriptions of the videos).

OMG I pray that Bear comes through.
Good job Kate. You had to work pretty hard to keep the canter. You looked regal in your new coat.

Yes! Thank you! Bear is still with us ❤️. If you want to see the updates as they were happening, I was posting them to Instagram and TikTok in real time, so you can catch up on what has happened since that day, but I will also be posting the updates in videos here as I go through the backlog of videos I recorded this Summer to catch you guys up.

Hey Kate that so awesome. And it was to bad that Stevie broke into the trot. At last over fences class. But you looked so beautiful in your new show coat. And Stevie looked so beautiful and happy as well. And braids came out so beautiful Kate. And I so glad Bear 🐻 is feeling much better now. And I can't wait to see Choclet 's new kids too. All my 💗💕🥰❤️🤗💖❤️ to all.

Her second course was really good only the one break to trot but the rest was really good. Next year maybe try galloping Stevie to get her in better condition to not break so much. When she is forward she jumps much better.

Hey I saw that you guys needed a professional braider at the show! This is the barn I ride at and I know a girl who might be able to braid mane and tail for you guys! I’ll have to ask her but it could definitely be a possibility🙂
Ps it was great showing with u guys!!

Thanks ❤️. We won’t need it until next show season, but it is good to know. I remember you. You rode beautifully! Be sure to come say Hi next time if you see us around 😊.

It still seems strange to me that you have professional braiders in Canada. Over here in UK, owners of horses plus friends help out to do this.

Roach the mane. Problem solved. Looks better as well if your horse has a nice neck.

Could you not go in with bear to the back with them, even when he was sedated, i would have demanded to see him, could you get a second dog like bear, to help bear out, must be hard work for one dog, taking a pack of Coyte, or pack of wolfs by himself. sending love to bear bless him, :*(

    • @BarnBootsandCountryRoots
      @BarnBootsandCountryRoots  2 месяца назад

No, it was a veterinary hospital and he was in a surgical room. Their priority and focus was on keeping him alive at that point, so we couldn’t go back. The following day I was able to sit with him even though he was sedated. We would go each day to see him, but since he had to remain sedated, he didn’t know we were there. On Instagram and TikTok there is a video of the first day he was awake when we went and he was so happy to see us. He didn’t realize we had been with him the whole time. It broke our hearts having to leave him though. Yes, the plan has always been to get a second dog. Bear is a Great Pyrenees/ Anatolian cross, so we are looking for a similar breed of dog.

So sorry about Bear. Also sorry you post on tic toc. I’ll never go there. Ever. I will search for your instagram account. I love you guys. But your constant begging in your vlogs is a real turn off for me. I know it’s normal, but it is so annoying. Praying for you guys. This all happened during summer right? So old news?

I really appreciate the feedback. Yes, unfortunately it is the only way we can grow our channel and keep posting videos. We have a really loyal following but most of our returning viewers aren’t actually subscribed to our channel because they don’t realize it makes a big difference to RUclips algorithms and whether they push our channel out to other people. People think if they watch the video it is the same thing, but it isn’t. RUclips looks at how many people are subscribed, and of those people, do they keep coming back to watch, like videos, and comment. Unfortunately, I desperately need to grow our channel at this point in order to be able to continue making videos because currently, it costs me more money to make the videos (equipment, software, etc) than I make. I really apologize, I know the constant subscribe reminders are really annoying, but without our viewers subscribing, liking videos, commenting, and setting the notifications to “All”, the RUclips algorithm doesn’t think our channel is worth promoting and growing. And if our channel doesn’t grow, it doesn’t cover the expenses of making the videos, which means I won’t be able to continue making videos for you guys. I hope that helps explain it and why we have it in there, and hopefully helps make it a little less annoying. Thanks for your continued support of our channel. I know you’ve been with us for a long time ❤️.

💕 I understand. So I followed you on instagram, but I don’t know how to pull up past posts, history, etc.. I used to be techno smart. Sigh. Hope Kate is doing well at Uni as you guys say. ❤

On Instagram, if you are on our page and scroll down to the grid of pictures, right above them you will see 3 buttons (one looks like a Rubik’s cube, the middle one looks like a square with a play button inside it, and one is a square with a person in it). Hit the middle button (square with a triangle inside). That brings you to our Reels (short video clips). You can scroll down to the bottom for the older posts. You will see the updates in this section. Click on a video to watch it, and once you are in it, you will see at the bottom there is a description that will expand if you click on it. That is where each update is written. I believe there are 12 video updates there now. I hope that helps.
