I like pressuring the supports or other squishies when I play sombra and the tank always ends up dying because they’re not getting resources or follow up damage when they use their utilities. The only time I really ever go for the tank now is if I want to hack their shield to allow something like a shatter to be more effective, or if I hack a Winston right before his cooldown for jump comes back up so that he gets stuck and dies, or if I want to stop an ult from sigma or JQ for example.
The translocator nerf was harsh, it killed a lot of sombra mains, the quicker cloak is nice and all but she is still very prone to being one shot by most DPS, and ironically zen can actually fight back against her, honestly it’s just insane.
Relying on the virus hitting has a higher risk, sometimes I just want to make absolutely sure that there is at least SOME damage happening instead of gambling every engagement. Virus animation takes time, if missed it's wasted time that I could have shot at least some bullets

i dont understand why that tank change affects sombra other than the less headshot dmg. can you please explain ? why are you now avoiding damaging tank ? is it because normally when u hit a tank u go for all headshots ?
It's the armor change. Her gun now does like zero damage to armor to shooting tanks like reinhardt or winston does absolutely nothing. Tanks without armor, like doomfist, junker queen, and roadhog are still viable, but you will still do less headshot damage to them.
so basically only hack or even look at the tank when you want to cancel abilities (charge, flux, grasp, dm, etc) edit: OR when they’re the last target alive
