I always found the Travis Scott reverse swoosh to be kinda lame it comes off as minimal effort to the design. Yet it's hyped up like crazy like it was some big design feature. When Dennis Rodman had custom Jordans with the swoosh backwards in the 90s. Nobody said that was fire but. When travis does it its a big deal and id put money on it. That travis wasn't even the one who came up with that design or look. It was probably a designer that gets no appreciation for the making of his shoes lol.
For people buying sneakers, Its a great time. For store like ours and I'm sure syndicate and other resell locations, we've just had to adapt in this buyers market which means better prices, maybe focus more on used, and move more shoes online via ebay, grailed, etc. A year ago, we didn't even need to interact with customers to sell a shoe, but now it takes a bit more massaging and interactions with our customers. Also although sneakers are down, clothing can still have great margins.
I got the used “mad clean” Travis Scott 1s High (with trades) and I’m super satisfied because getting that new nowadays is unheard of. Thanks to Syndicate for the give-n-go with them. 🙌🙌🙌
Talk about y’all’s thoughts on reps. I think the popularization of buying reps has definitely had an impact on the market too. I know for myself i refuse to buy from Goat or Stockx now because so many fakes get through.
