Thanks for the info. I made the same mistake back in 2015 so I hear you loud and clear. I am a fashion designer transitioning to the tshirt industry and part of me wanted to rush and get this out but I saw how much I have invested in this new section of my business from taking courses and trying to absorb as much as I can from people like you so I can come correct with this. Getting audience is the hardest part for me; the people around me are all about major brands, and if they see something different that they never seen before; they think it’s a fake or whatever..but I’m not denying hard work will pay off..

I just launched and I thought I was in the game but I keep learning I can always do more and there is always more than one way to promote yourself. Keep learning because social media is ever-evolving! I don't want to put a shameless plug on here but if you're cool with it I will. Another jewel dropped Big Brandoh. Question? When starting to launch is it good to have a few designs on deck and spread it out to see what works? Or have a collection and drop at one time? Or put the first idea out and build from there? I'm trying to get a handle on design because I'm thinking the printing process is pretty straight forward. I'm doing regular printing stuff now but I want to put out something with my own stamp on it. Create a brand. If I'm thinking like me (consumer) I rather check a company out that has a few designs but I hear alot of times just start with what you have and let the people buying dictate what to do next.
i would release what you feel confident in. some times people have 2 really good designs they feel 110% about but also put out 2-4 extra designs that are "whatever" just to fill the store up. but if you dont feel confident in those "whatever" designs dont put them out. having 2 good designs amongst 4 boring designs will make all the designs look boring. get me? put out the designs you feel 110% about.
@@BigBrandoh I get it. It's better to have something you belive in out there then just fill space. If I can't stand behind it then put it up for now. I guess from listening to you and others I get apprehensive on what to put out because the one I may not like may be the hit and I don't want to miss out on that. @ Big Brandoh good video bro.. I'm from LA and question, what if I just wanted to do this for a side hustle? I don't want to really rely on online sales... I really plan on getting out there selling either with my presence or just str8 hustling but I do know it starts with a plan and taking the right steps..
plan it out and hit the streets. the trick is to hit a high traffic area where people spend. you can be in a high traffic area where people dont spend. you'd waste your time. look at the dofference between hollywood blvd and venice beach. both high foot traffic. people at venice are walkin and might buy. hollywood blvd. people walkin and taking pics. not thinkin bout buying. get me?

I can do my own designs off my software. My designs will be str8 simple like serif fonts as this will be mostly about positive words and sayings...
When you said you wanted to make a personalized experience for the customer, how did you go about the physical package of the clothing you sold? Was it a branded packages for example?

What is the difference between supacolor wearable vs headwear besides the price?
Can you put supacolor headwear on t-shirts?
one is made for hats and one is made for shirts. some hats are made of acrylic so head wear transfers are made to adhere to that. wearable is made to adhere to clothing like cotton/polyester. comes down to size and feel.

i dont use any printers for transfers. i wouldnt be able to answer that for you. i use a cameo to cut vinyl and i order screen printed transfers
How do you handle the legalities of selling a design that may be copyrighted and a friend would like it on a shirt? For example, a disney character.
i never sell anything that is trademarked or copywritten. if my friend asks for something like that, i decline the job.
you have to operate at your own risk. trademarks and copyrights are there for a reason. Those reasons come with big penalties and fines. i have a video talkin about a guy who got busted for doing this and how he got busted.

yes it will. it can get tricky but its possible. i dont have any videos about it but look up "layering htv"
