Monty: He-hey! You're not supposed to put cotton swabs in your ear. -In case you guys are wondering, that's just what Monty Monitor says when you click on the 'cotton swab' option in Question 3 for the 11th mission's first clue (the spider web). I don't know why, but that line always cracks me up.
Wow, you're really good with the Robot Maze game. When I played this game as a kid, I could never get past the second maze of the third level. Hats off to you man!
The dialog you added to the oxygen tank was a nice touch. :D I think you found The Scorpion constellation in record time, there. Nice work. :) Things you can click on that you haven't yet: (On first floor) On floor - ship in a bottle. Zoomed in on entrance to kitchen - the picture of Polly and the professor. At puzzle door entrance to kitchen - timer and lab equipment at top corners of door. In kitchen - blender, mixer and light over the feeding machine. (On Second floor) On floor - frog in bowl, T-Rex skeleton (first click zooms in on it, another to skull does something). Zoomed in on entrance to Biosphere - plant and hallway. (On Third floor) Zoomed in on Robot Maze door - coffin. Zoomed in on Observatory door- contraption attached to wall. (Don't know if there's a special way to click that lets you zoom in. Just stuff you might want to look for next time you do. :))
Justin Carawan Huh, I didn't know you could click on things when you're zoomed in on a door. Shame it only happens every once in a while... Also, glad to know someone watched far enough to see the talking oxygen tank. I figured someone would get a kick out of it XD
1:25:58 I actually printed this out, but I thought it was funny because I had also put the girl cartwheeling and she was frozen in a position that made it look like she was also sinking. XD
I had this game when I was like 7 or 8 and never got to finish it and I really wish I could just to heal my inner child. It’s no wonder I grew up pretty smart, these games are kinda difficult if you take into consideration a child has to both have some sort of knowledge about the moon and sun and advanced science concepts while learning about more along the way. I remember that’s where I first learned what a ‘molecule’ is….there’s some adult folks who would pause at that question believe it or not.
38:45 (SCREECH) "YOOOOOOOO!" Oh god, Botley, why? Why did you have to screech like that? Was it because the player allowed you to fall into the pit? Whhhhhhhhhhy...my poor ears. ;_; 1:39:44 Aw, that's nice of you to do. 2:16:18 LOL, the ways Botley says, 'Leeuwenhoek' is weirdly dubbed. Twice.
0:50 Polly is wrong. The first recorded sound wasn't an electric guitar, it was a ghostly voice of a woman singing "Au Clair de la Lune." 28:42 The first man-made paper wasn't used for paper airplanes, paper dolls or spitballs, it was used for clothing. 54:31 That's not right. They prove that the Earth is round by observing the shape of the terminator as it moved through its orbital cycle. 1:23:39 Dynamite invented for exploding cigars? That's wrong. It was invented for tunneling and mining. 1:50:58 Tiny creatures don't take baths. They swim about in a drop of water.
Andrew Crumb it was not a ghostly voice of a woman singing Au Clair de la Lune,it was Thomas Edison saying words of Mary had a little lamb Also Magellan was who found out the earth was round
Mr. Eight-Three-One I would have finished it... If I had stuck to one save file. But as is, I think I only got up to 8 as well. So this is completely new territory for me.
***** I wouldn't exactly call it new territory, it's pretty much the same formula for all 25 robots. The only things that changes are the questions on the Wheel of Invention and the time machine cut scenes.
Mr. Eight-Three-One Seriously, aside from Polly's quips and each robot having a different introduction and conclusion, the game could be summed up by showing the intro to the game, each of the games on each floor once, and the ending. But one thing that made no since to me is what happens after the ending when you click on Botly outside the time machine room. No spoilers, but it would have fit better at the start, I think.
They got their history of paper incorrect. Paper was actually invented around 100 BC in China. Ts'ai Lun was only the first to start a paper-making industry, not the inventor of paper itself. Also there is no record of paper being used in Ancient China for clothing. It was used for purposes of wrapping or padding protection for delicate bronze mirrors.
He found them at the Wheel of Invention which is a quiz show hosted by Monty Monitor. He’s the same telegenic host of Pollywood Squares who also guards Professor Spark's Time Machine.
I do love this game with all my heart, but I just noticed that the year for when Magellan started his voyage is wrong. Magellan started it in 1519 and was killed in 1521. The voyage ENDED in 1522. So Monty was wrong.
Three down, two to go. Can't wait. :D You planning on doing anymore game videos in the future? What persuaded you to start this anyway? Btw, "I'm starting to get the 'fever'"?
Of course I'll make more! I've been doing it for years now and don't plan on stopping anytime soon! What inspired me was, for a period of time, I used to make Let's Plays of the Humongous games, back when regular walkthroughs of them were hard to find. Naturally people complained, and since my LPs were never very well received, I figured I could fare better if I just did straight up zero commentary walkthroughs. Plus, I had a whole backlog of games that didn't have any footage on RUclips, some of which had fallen into obscurity and aren't seeing any rerelease in the near future; I thought doing this would be a great way of archival. By fever, I mean I'm just ready to get this game out of the way already because of how long it's been sitting on me. Unfortunately, I still have five hours left to record >_>
You’re kidding! Ella Fitzgerald sang it in the old days of Jazz. It’s in my playlist, “Jazz Age 💃 🎊” which was created on Spotify (Music app powered by 🛰). In fact, it's included in my "Easy Children's Fake Book" which is only located on the first page when you open it up to play the song on the piano or 🎸.
I hate to be rude, but Polly's a bratty character who's the antagonist of the game everyone enjoyed playing when they were children at a 3rd Grade level. Why do you like her so much?
28:57 "She bothers everyone in her class with spitballs, and she wonders why she has no friends" LMFAO
The production of this game is actually next level for its time if
You think about it....
If only the updates didn’t happen... I hate the updated versions of the game, purely because of several lines cut out. It takes out so much context.
That game where you have to power up the mountain gave me such anxiety when I was younger
i was just thinking about how much i hated it, but i got better at math under pressure haha
Same but I think give me a little bit of nightmares to

The music in this game is fire
18:47 This is the only time the words "Mystery Mountain" are used. Most of the time, Mystery Mountain is simply referred to as "the mountain".
The dialog you added to the oxygen tank was a nice touch. :D

Happy to help. :)
Saw your filler video, and it was hilarious! Especially this line: “Happy landings!”
i really miss playing that game
1:23:47 *Casually jokes about exploding peoples' faces*
1:24:15 *Polly casually resorts to indirect manslaughter to pass a test* 🙃

I wasn't expecting to learn anything but heck, I genuinely didn't know dynamite was used to start sculpting Mount Rushmore.
@Nate Christensen Nope
Ooh, Spotley, I'm shaking in my boots!

2:16:18 LOL, the ways Botley says, 'Leeuwenhoek' is weirdly dubbed. Twice.
At 1:47:28, what does Monty Monitor say when you pick the Medal of Honor as your answer?
0:43 If Polly says the first heavy metal guitar riff she listened too, then Metallica would be hanging out with me and Botley.
0:50 Polly is wrong. The first recorded sound wasn't an electric guitar, it was a ghostly voice of a woman singing "Au Clair de la Lune."

I think I only got up to like 8 robots though XD
djmeperry I'm not surprised, this game is ridiculously long and I'm shocked they figured kids would have enough of an attention span to finish it.

Man. That oxygen tank has some saaaaaass!
Are you sure Magellan beat Columbus at finding out the Earth was round?

guys notice that they over-dubbed when botley says leeuwenhoek
I played this game so much at my Granny’s house

Does it ever occur to anyone that all 12 Zodiac Signs are in this game?
I actually like Polly
I hate to be rude, but Polly's a bratty character who's the antagonist of the game everyone enjoyed playing when they were children at a 3rd Grade level. Why do you like her so much?
She's a robot abuser!
