Same. I had such pervasive memories of the drums and string bridge for fucking years. I haven't played it since probably 2000. I'm so glad I found the game again
It took me such a long time to figure out what this was! I knew this game existed and I knew I wasn't going crazy but I couldn't find it anywhere! I can't believe I finally found it!
this is my childhood game. if only they make more of this. jumpstart helped me so much as a kid and I want my future kids to play this but computerers now days don't have those things where you put the CD in and at times they just don't accept the game becuase it's old
BigBoomer101 I agree, in fact, it would be awesome and educational if they taught things that are for older people like teenagers and adults like say, all types of science, world languages and cultures, world history, all sorts of things.
There are apps that can teach like this nowadays. I learned from this game as a kid too, but honestly there are far better ways to teach kids nowadays.
Ah, nostalgic bliss! Knew this game really existed. Two decades later here we are, started off with remembering sour notes and then BAM. Here she is. Now to buy it so my kids can enjoy it like I did. It was so immersive at the time! Ugh. Nostalgia...
You ARE a hero. I had such good memories playing these games. Sometimes I fall asleep to your videos remembering good times. Thank you so much. You seriously have no idea how happy I get watching this again. It makes me wish I still had the games and OS to play.
So this game does exist😂I spent the last 4 hours searching the internet for it cause it just popped in my mind...Never been so happy to relive my childhood
Jumpstart teaches subjects much better than teachers in real life. Sadly they don't do this anymore but I remember when I was little they used to make us play these games back in 1st grade.
Galatick_ Kow yeah I remember being scared of this game when I was a kid. Then last night I remembered it and wanted to find it, and watching this video makes me realize that I was just a weird kid.
@@halfgeek1394 I was terrified of the part where he got sucked into the gramophone and they started signing. Something about the heads made me scared out of my mind. Listening to it now, its pretty good.
2:42 Spinelli: *Grabs Sir Sournote by the throat and choking him, he turns red, followed by orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and finally violet as he starts gasping for breath*
Now I'm just comparing classic sound effects between trips down nostalgia lane. 1:08:47: If I'm not mistaken, there is a subtle sound used in Math Blaster In Search of Spot during the refueling stage and a number/symbol gets vaporized in the bottom row. Does anyone recognize that sound from anywhere else?
6:33 Am I on drugs or something?!?!?!?!?! Why the fuck am I even here?!?!?!?!?!? I'm 23 years old for fuck's sakes! Somebody get me out of here!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I spend another minute here I will do something I'll regret!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL, that ending though: 1:08:39 What is he going to be good again? How cliche...(He disappears in the sound) I think we killed him. "Hooray! All the sour notes are sweet again!" Are we just going to brush off the fact that you killed someone? "We're saved!" Yup, we are, you know, I'm having second thoughts about saving you guys. "Sweet music shall rain forevermore in the land of music!" This is tyranny! Everyone has to be sweet! Oh man. 1:09:17 Ouch, farewell screech, ow. 1:09:21 Uh, where were you keeping that giant clock, Hopsalot? 1:09:33 I swear, this is some fever dream, everyone's suddenly creepy. 1:10:39 Oh, uh, I guess he's not dead. Or this is his alternate self in the bunny world, lol. Oh, he winked at us, I guess he did turn good after all.
There's another game somewhat similar to this and released around the same time. It was music based and took place in a castle. The player would navigate through the castle completing musical challenges. Does anyone know what that game is? I can't remember the name at all
I’VE BEEN TRYING TO REMEMBER THIS GAME FOR SO LONG

As much as I loved this game as a kid, it was just *pure* nightmare fuel every now and then.
I remember my mother brought this CD ROM on her old computer for me and my sister to play when we were kids
I've played this game as a kid and it was so much fun.
I dont know whats better, me discovering this nostalgic gem or reading all the people who share them
I’m looking for footage of old disc games I used to play as a kid! This is great
We would play with our music teacher in music class back when I was in first grade. I would always get excited going to music class because of it.
16:13 When I first heard that while watching this I asked myself, "Did that sour note just reference Monty Python?"
OMG I WISH I HAD THE CD STILL BUT MY MOM SOLD IT IN A GARAGE SALE😭 AND LOVED THE HIPPO PLAYING ON HER STOMACH HER LAUGH 😂 good old times
I so remember this omg I loved this game when I was little

Am I the only one that fears that Sir Sournote and the sournotes might have given the kids nightmare fuel?
Especially his death.
Rodrigo Rafael Tutaya Mena 17:42 this is awful
for me, it wasn't Sir Sournote. it was that _god damn goat._
Sir Sournote looks a smidge like Bixby from Puddle Books
Rodrigo Rafael Tutaya Mena not the bag Nooooo! At 46:44 that's the funniest thing I ever saw hahah
I used to play this a lot as a kid, along with master blaster
Childhood memories...
Because of this game I've started playing the piano.
I played this game as a kid. I want a niece or nephew already so I can also play this game with them. Haha.
I remember playing this when I was really young! I only remembered it cause I was thinking to myself what games I played when I was little

I used to own this game as an extra of the Jump*Start Advanced 1st Grade 4-Pack. It was the yellow disc.
Man, I feel old, I've had this replaying on the back of my mind for some time...though I remember it looking different.
8:45 *Walks to Hopsalot* And I'm Ben Donovan, I'm 20 years old and I am helping you, even though I'm an adult,

Kylin it’s blue “rhythm” road!
Here I am, at 23, watching this video all the way through just to hear the last areas dream-like theme song. Sighssssss.
Hey I remember this. I played it in elementary school.
I remembered that game! I used to play this when I was young.
Me too
I remember having this and I couldn't find it for hell, but I'd always end up playing it again eventually. Now I really can't find it.
Honestly, it wasn't Sir Sournote or the Sour notes that gave me nightmares...it was that Damned Saxophone.
3:03 I believe that the solution to this problem is to call the police and have Sir Sour Note arrested for this crime.
I remember playing this game when I was younger.
Love this. Blast from the past
I had this game. played it all the time.
I remember this game! I played it in one of my schools!
I played this game for HOURS years ago
When I looked at the game closely, it almost reminded me of the Wizard of Oz but without the wizard
yea me too
You had to look closely at it to notice that? It was about as subtle as a freshly painted traffic sign.
this is a lot less scarier than i remembered
