1 years ago today is when I first picked up a guitar ( fittingly a slash epiphone les Paul player pack) I watched this video and thought nah I can’t do that , well I’m happy to say I can play it perfectly now , how time flies

I’ve always been just a casual G&R fan but this song is one of my favorite of all time. The evolving emotion of the solos reminds me so much of “Comfortably Numb” in how the tone of those solos change from uplifting to dark. Awesome work as always.

I love that ending solo switch up right @ 7:40 and that descending lick right after it! This was another guitar cover where i rarely ever seen anyone play that solo correctly at the end

How'd you do it slow down the video just slowly memorize it?
@@ChristianCMC Yeah I've been playing guitar around 37 years, but some of the tricky stuff that was hard to work out, I would just refer back to guitar tabs also known as Mr tabs to work it all out. I haven't slowed down the videos, just practice, trial and error and going over those hard spots over and over again.
@@ChristianCMC Also you can check out JW easy guitar he has some great lessons that are slowed down and very thorough for easy learning. Good luck with your endeavours.

Kudos to you! That was awesome! I'm gonna spend the next 20 years trying to learn to play this now.... Back in the 90s I did learn a big chunk of the outro solo but never this good 👍

Too difficult for me. The first two are awesome and I can play both of them. But the last one... I can just listen and laughing at all those guys who still think that Slash is not a great guitarist. They're right: he's not just a great guitar player but a genius.

Best version of this I have heard outside the original! Great to hear all the little licks and the outro solo played so well, but without being buried in the mix, like in the recording. Slowing down your video means I'm finally getting it after years of banging my head against a wall! Thanks a lot for sharing. Would it be possible for you to put up some tips on how to get the sound (gear used, amp settings etc?) P.S. It's hilarious that Axl got a solo writing credit on this song, yet it contains three of Slash's greatest solos :) It would be a dirge without Slash's inspired playing.

@@flyhigh6591 Not really, I used the neck pickup and then a lot of vibrato throughout. That's about as technical as I get: I just twiddle the knobs on my amp and use my ears :)

Do you just slow it down and memorize it? How are you learning it? It goes by so fast on the screen.
I normally pause and learn it part by part, so after learning the first part I'll play it few times and then move on to next part.
Every time I learn a new part I play until that point from the beginning.

@dwightschrute4056 Yeah, me too. I have to pause. Learn little by little. Then, the next day, I'll forget a certain part and then have to go back and review. It's can be long and frustrating. I usually don't slow down the RUclips videos cause then it sounds weird, but I'm pausing and rewinding a lot.
This is the most accurate that I ever seen on RUclips. Great!
Amazing job on the cover, especially the solos. I loved learning how to play this but to anybody who hasn't gotten good calluses yet, be careful cause you might cut your fingers up like I did trying to bend that many times.

Lots of hardwork has been put into for this wonderful play. Hats off to this. Too much play is envolved in playing just one song and you have shown it from the beginning to the end which is really awesome to see how professionals play. Keep doing what you doing. I guess it helps a lot of people who wants to know how things are played in the song. The only thing I can recommend if it is easy for you to do is to show the Lyrics as well. This might appeal for the audience. Only if it is easy enough.
