    Any Ex-pats on here who cringe at the ignorance of UK nationals with the blinkers on who've only seen Europe through a Jet2 holiday? Having been fortunate enough to have been brought up on the continent and put through a local education system, then on to a job, paying taxes, owning a home over there etc., I can safely say.. I'm glad we left the EU.. Apologies for digressing, just one example.. it makes me laugh / despair at our idea of the meaning of "corruption", given that corruption plays a big part in what it means to be a European politician at any level. The country I lived in was a prime example.. The EU as an entity is rotten to the core which makes UK politicians look whiter than white by comparison. I really feel for all my friends who live over there who have little or no say in their future no matter which way they vote. Glad I moved back to the UK in 2000. Although his motives were different, De Gaulle was right.. The UK should never have been part of the EU in the first place.

      @localreviewking134 Год назад +1

      @god bless farage We have been a vassal state of America for years. They stopped the UK from folding after the bankruptcy of the WW2. The majority of Scottish people backed the remaining part of the European Union in the Brexit vote. It was a decision made two years after Scotland said it didn't want to be independent at a time when the UK was in the EU.

    • @localreviewking134
      @localreviewking134 Год назад +1

      @god bless farage The SNP mandate was to leave the UK and then join the EU. As, most Scots voted for the SNP. They have often called for another vote. Mainly due to the increased hatred of the Tory year on year. The SNP took just under half of the vote, and won just under half of the seats in parliament in 2021. Thus, it is interesting that the Scots voted to remain in the UK and then voted for SNP which wants to leave the union. So, perhaps they are `confused` or the data needs greater investigation.

    • @localreviewking134
      @localreviewking134 Год назад +1

      @god bless farage Why did they vote in large numbers SNP then? The flesh of the SNP to leave the UK. They are oxymorons. BREXIT was a very close call too by the way. Thus, you do agree many Scots want to break the Union and join Europe. It makes no sense, a bit like Farage wanting to start fracking and coal mining again.

    When I was a young angry Maori, I dreamed of the day that the homeland of our invaders would be mercilessly besieged and THEIR family's chased into the forest and killed.
    30 years later when I see the reality of it, it sickens me to have ever have thought these terrible things and I am ashamed.
    I have since lived and travelled in England and Britain. I have friends and family who are English and two of my children are English citizens. It is only in the last thirty odd years that I have realized how utterly displaced my animosity was and now when I see so many ordinary English people being crushed by the same oppressive governance that defeated us I shudder to think what will happen to them under this new and even more sinister regime of woke that threatens to throw the whole world into chaos.
    Mike and the mechanics summed up this struggle by urging us
    'Teach your children quietly for some day sons and daughters will rise up and fight while we stood still'
    England is the home of the rebel son. Rebel.

    • @localreviewking134
      @localreviewking134 Год назад

      @god bless farage ONS revealed, “Russia supplied 24.1 per cent of the UK’s refined oil imports in 2021, however, Russia fell to the sixth-largest import source for refined oil in April 2022 as importers sourced alternatives following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.” So i cannot find any figure stating 40%. The West knew the fact that it was nearly impossible to switch overnight from Russian oil and gas. However, we are buying way less than before the war.

    Right not all can be blamed on brexit, one of your standard platitudes. However todays economic numbers speak for themselves with Ireland at 4.9% growth at the top in Europe and even Germany having to replace all of the Russian gas now doubling it’s forecast to 0.4%, as is the rest of Europe and only GB forecasted at a loss, with a grim future predicted. What but Brexit do you blame for that?
