What a tumultuous 2022, and what great plans for the New Year! I understand the fear of oversharing and being judged or bullied by random people on the Internet. The best advice I've received is to trust my gut and to seek out other "tall poppies" who dare to grow tall and beautifully individual too. And then personally, I find your more personal content really thought-provoking and contagiously positive! I can't wait to see what you do with this channel this year ❤

I’m in a similar boat as you - a new mother trying to build a small business and feeling like I could have done more in 2022 but time is slipping away from me. all I have to say to you is exactly what I SHOULD be saying to myself - you are doing more than enough and you deserve to hold compassion for yourself especially in this season! you have incredible goals for growth and I admire it so much, but don’t sacrifice you along the way!

Happy New Year Alex. Being disciplined and consistent doesn’t really seem like what I love about you. I love the slight randomness of your channel. It seems much more normal to me ! Having a little one is a massive job and the most important one so try not to worry too much about you tube. I really enjoy your sewing content especially when you are making a project and you share when things are difficult or go wrong and you laugh about it , or cry and then laugh about it and remind us to have a nice snack. It reminds me that sewing can be tricky but it is also fun and you don’t have to be perfect or be too hard on yourself when you make mistakes. I would prefer not to have religious stuff in your content ( which I know religious people tend to see as a sign they should do it more). You are a really good you tuber and your daughter is young, you have loads of time ahead of you. You are not a “ waterless cloud” you just have a lot of important and ordinary things you have to do . I look forward to more regular content from you when you make Arwen’s wedding dress and I am a really really old lady. In the meantime, keep keeping it real. Xxx

This was a beautiful honest chat ...for me ...I love it when you do your sewing ...perhaps this year you could do more on how to accessories a 'new make' ...and add things like cost of makes...when you are going to wear it .... some ideas on new additions to your wardrobe ......etc etc...x

these are beautiful intentions, make sure to give yourself grace along the way. what I’ve been finding in my journey is consistency and discipline are important but not more important than presence and peace.
I’m in a similar boat as you - a new mother trying to build a small business and feeling like I could have done more in 2022 but time is slipping away from me.
all I have to say to you is exactly what I SHOULD be saying to myself - you are doing more than enough and you deserve to hold compassion for yourself especially in this season! you have incredible goals for growth and I admire it so much, but don’t sacrifice you along the way!

Yes. You’re so right. That’s what it came to it last year, family! One day at a time. I use to say that to myself every day whilst working a job that was not great, it helped me get through, but I love the idea of “one day at a time” as a way to get me *to* my goals!!!

I hope that 2023 will bring a little bit more stability for you and your family, and with that some time to think about how you want to move forward and with what content. I really liked the analogy of the waterless cloud and how that is not what you want your content to be. From my perspective, I can only say that your content is most definitely not a waterless cloud. I don't think I'm the only one who watches your video and leaves it feeling better and super motivated to create more, from having laughed and shared whatever you have been up to. Since I also follow you on Instagram, I think you have had some really insightful thoughts to share there as well. You already bring more to your videos and Instagram stories than you think. Mostly, I am inclined to believe, simply because you are you! Wishing you all the best for this new year and can't wait to see what you will be working on!

Being a mum is hard and finding the time to plan and post your videos must be tough, especially with all you've been through the past year. Happy New Year Alex. Being disciplined and consistent doesn’t really seem like what I love about you. I love the slight randomness of your channel. It seems much more normal to me ! Having a little one is a massive job and the most important one so try not to worry too much about you tube. I really enjoy your sewing content especially when you are making a project and you share when things are difficult or go wrong and you laugh about it , or cry and then laugh about it and remind us to have a nice snack. It reminds me that sewing can be tricky but it is also fun and you don’t have to be perfect or be too hard on yourself when you make mistakes. I would prefer not to have religious stuff in your content ( which I know religious people tend to see as a sign they should do it more). You are a really good you tuber and your daughter is young, you have loads of time ahead of you. You are not a “ waterless cloud” you just have a lot of important and ordinary things you have to do . I look forward to more regular content from you when you make Arwen’s wedding dress and I am a really really old lady. In the meantime, keep keeping it real. Xxx

My faith is a windy journey I have been on all my life, i have loved it and I have struggled with it, and I am sure I will share more in detail at some point, but for now, all I can say it’s that I feel incredibly blessed to know that I am loved immensely by God and life makes a whole lot of sense knowing that one key and vital truth.
