  • Make as many as these Edge Band Clamps as you want for only one dollar each. These will save you tons of money compared to buying name brand clamps. All materials were bought from my local Home Depot. These are great for applying edge banding to your plywood pieces and other projects.

Great hack, you hit the perfect balance of cost, effort, and utility. I just made 10 of these in about 30 minutes. My one tip to add is cut the rubber band at an angle to make threading it through the holes / washers easier.

That is a great tip! Didn’t even think about that. I think I have about 8, but always finding myself needing a few more. Thanks for watching.

Is the 2” dimension the opening or the overall length of the clamp

Excellent idea. And yours are much lower priced than the Bandy Clamps you buy already made.

Great idea and use of cheap products! I’m def going to use the same, but pop the rubber feet off and epoxy the band inside and then reattach.

That sounds like a great way to attach them, make a ton!

I’m pretty sure that epoxy won’t hold that stretchy rubber band in place. I believe a mechanical fastening will certainly be more reliable.

I did it myself with the Woodglut plans. I think this is the best way to find out how to build it.
