When you set the first one aside to dry for a little while, I thought it looked like an abstract tulip. You could’ve stopped there. I love the finished product too. Such pretty colours!

Thanks Ellen! I am a bit of a perfectionist and have a difficult time with "just letting go". This was a great exercise in trying not to micro manage the paint! (I did try a little - haha) I couldn't quite get myself to make vertical type lines on the the second one. I like the way they turned out 😊

Love this and will try! Wow I haven't heard the word 'madras' since I was in HS. My one sister was into it. I'm 75 and surprised you know about it but I guess an artist would know about patterns and such?. Thanks for sharing
