Enjoyed watching with a bottle of Red wine , and chilling out after being out in the cold 🥶 on site at work , and yes it's been Freezing, Bring on summer 🌻, 😉🍷
Hello JL I walked past your boat on it's current mooring and was very impressed with the condition of your paintwork, you have done a great job. I was one of the volunteers working today. Work will continue this week and if you wanted to do some filming just ask the guys I am sure that they would accommodate you. Loving your vlogs. Steve
Hi Steve. Had thought about doing a vlog of the Wendover so yes some help from the volunteers could be just the thing. I don't think I can do it with the weather as it is right now so might be a question of coming back in the car. I'll have a think. Thanks, and keep up the good work.
"Proper boaters" I nearly unsubscribed! I am a proper boater most of the year, but I grant you that it is a harder life continuously cruising 😉, but you are also showing us how rewarding it can be as well. Thanks Johnny, great video as always.
You must have enjoyed being back on the canals after your 2 weeks painting. Having great water pressure to fill up is almost unheard of must be a one off LOL...take care...
Good on ya Johny, Leighton Buzzard, getting closer to Oxford, by road anyway. Strange, I always get this funny longing feeling for Oxford. I think I feel in love with the place, the town and people, I dont understand it really. I think it's home. Anyway, I've watched a couple of vlogs where they're iced in today, so you're doing very well, even though you are freezing. Thanks for the ride, and take care mate.
I was surprised how rural Oxfordshire is - quite beautiful but feels isolated when the weather turns. The town itself has some great architecture of course, glorious in the summer.
The boat looks so pretty since all of your hard work, Johnny. It is good to see you out and about on the water again. Stay well and enjoy yourself. -Leigh
Started from the very beginning and now I am caught up. Have enjoyed watching all of them. Especially liked the Blue Guitar. Stay well and safe travels. Boat looks good.
Hi Jeffrey, and well done! That's time you can never get back :) I try and mix it up a bit some times, never know what people are going to like. I certainly enjoyed getting that guitar and it gets played all the time now... though I bust a string the other night trying to do "Hotel California" guitar solo.
Snazzy bit of driving between the locks JL, must have been a nice change for you, not having to work to hard on the locks, hope you got a nice parking space, stay safe and well 🚢🚢🚢
I personally think that when we started calling it graffiti instead of vandalism we messed up. I enjoyed the locks, it was cool seeing two go through at the same time.
You occasionally see some that is truly artful, but that lot was mainly just scrawl - what amazes me is they must have brought a ladder along to do some of it!
@@ProjectNarrowboat well its hard to write its as he as sprayed it. But I have a photo I could share with you. If I could work out how to do so through comments.
Isn't there a pub around there called "Three Locks" - must have been over 40 years since I was there. Lovely place at the time - probably closed down now. Oops OK just saw it at 03:28.
Proper boaters what makes you think your a proper boater being very new to boating one you tuber said on his Volg you can't be a proper boater unless you have a big yellow club hammer.(do you have one) Myself I believe anybody who uses the canals is a proper boater this includes row boats up to the largest boats possible but I have only been narrowboating for a mere 35yrs so what do I know

Can't beat a good bottle of red :)
@@ProjectNarrowboat it was Bob on 🙃🍷, love any red as long as it's Dry , Take care ,
Loving the synchronised "locking" manoeuvres!
Yes, made a change. Very quick too.
Hi Johnny, thank you for the beautiful cruise.
Hi Penney, welcome as ever.
The tandem lock entry was great. Saved you a lots of work and hassle with the wind. Nice video and music. 😊
Hey thanks. It proved to be a quick and easy flight of locks for me, that. Just what you need on a cold day.

Nice one Johny. Boat paint job looks fab and the name lettering. Well done.
Hey thanks, I'm really pleased with how it has all turned out.

Hey Marky - one of my tongue in cheek comments. But it's great when you practically have the cut to yourself. Did I mention, it was a bit chilly?
I was out in it at work on site all day 😆, 🌀🌨️, Take care 👍
Not much fun!
That was impressive boat handling side by side to and through the locks
It worked out ok - prolly not as difficult as it looked.

If only I had the footage of when the hose came flying out - it was practically alive!

It's really all come together nicely now hasn't it? We've been having a really mild winter too.

Hi Chris, we seemed to be able to counteract the wind quite easily like that. Yes, the east flight I've done in a while.
You were like the Red Arrows in the locks there, the Blue Narrows maybe?
Hi Glynn - I like it, yes Blue Narrows.
I personally think that when we started calling it graffiti instead of vandalism we messed up.

The Graffti WONKEY is best viewed from the towpath in the reflection of the cut.
Cleaver really.
How does that work then?

Yes indeed - and it is still going. Looks like a good place for a Sunday lunch too.
@@ProjectNarrowboat From what I remember it was a really nice place. The whole family went, I don't think I was old enough, at the time - happy days.
I hope you didn’t scratch the new paint job going two up through those locks Johnny .
Never touched the sides!

Just my dry sense of humour - take no notice. Now, where's my yellow hammer...
